After you settle on your days and purchase your airline ticket-- the trip is almost a go then. Your next step is to book or have booked a hotel. When those two important features have been accomplished, it is time to plan your overall itinerary. Go far it, man! Take the plunge. After reading the reviews of the saunas in Brazil in 1998 or 1999 by Trilingual-- I began to plan mentally. In October of 2002, the year of my retirement, I decided to spend a month in Brazil. Well, because I was not ready for the language barrier which I encountered as well as my reluctance and lack of acute patience to tackle this and make the better of it-- I aborted my trip after being in Rio de janeiro for only a few days. I returned in February of 2003, for Carnaval and loved it; I was with a friend who was up for that part of the challenge; I was also determined to make it work. We had one hell of a friggin' cultural and sexual blast! October 2003 arrived and back I went each year and all over the country until 2007 when I had to begin to curtail 2 or 3 international trips per year. I truly hope that in October of 2011, a year+ from now, another friend and I will travel to Rio de janeiro and perhaps to Bahia and Porto Alegre, and maybe to one or two other places. I'm keen on recapturing that Brazilian spirit in "Mother Brazil."

Thanks, Tom, it is much more difficult to cite one thing, so I'll follow your deviating! 1) Younger and with my body of previous years, 2) Of course, much much more money 3) Being able to do much more traveling in our world. (I desire to travel around the world from 6-8 months before senility and other health hazzards begin to attack!)

Stripfan-- I'd highly encourage your going to Rio de janeiro to obtain a different and varied experience, but make sure you do your homework by reading all pertinent information at this site as well as at www.gaytravelbrazil.com and at www.daddysreviews.com. In the latter-- check the archives, for many of us have lots and lots of valuable info. and great stories of past experiences. During my venturing to Rio from 2002 until 2007 (...hope to return next year in October if all goes as planned), the sauna scene has changed: some have closed-- leaving about four or five that have "rentboys."

Tom---during your innumerable years of traveling to Brazil and esp. to Rio de janeiro, you have always managed to meet some of the hottest and most handsome of guys! I positively envy and applaud you. I shall always remember sitting in the lobby area of The Atlantico Hotel and watching you saunter down the street with a cute guy by your side moments after you'd apparently arrived. Two other guys and I just smiled, and I guess wished that it were we who had made our first connection. Continue to enjoy and enjoy and live life to its fullest! Perhaps I'll get there one of these days!!!!!

In general-- I like men, the more the merrier, but when it comes to favorites in terms of nationalities, I prefer Brazilians for all of the reasons that Totally Oz alluded as well as others. As an older man-- I have had problems in Thailand in trying to find guys who are handsome and virile yet somewhat on the mature side. Personally, I did not like being with the guys in public because of the disparity in age and looks-- he looking like one of my former high school students and I, an aged gent who has engaged his services for pleasure. But, as we have all written as well as stated in previous posts at this site as well as at others, "to each his own," and I write this from a positive point of view!

I clicked on the angle, but it-- the vid-- would not work. There something about imbedding is forbidden or some such. It has happened before to me, for I have this blog in my favorites and go to it often. Some of the vids do not work at this site now which is unfortunate!

I appreciate knowing about this site. If I venture to Japan-- I know a source; if I travel to Singapore which I'd like to do with a tour group in 2011, I have a few sources there. Thanks, Oz!!!

When I saw his pics a few days back, Bruno Gaucho came to my mind, too. But this hot guy is slightly more buffed!

If you are with a Frenchman in an apartment or at a house or in a venue that has facilities where washing can take place-- just have him scrub his big thick and long uncut cock, or you could do it for him! I'm uncut and have had other uncut guys, namely Brazilians and Argentines, and all of the previously mentioned have been deliciously "clean!" ...wish I could "dock" easily with another uncut buddy, but this has been impossible for me since we're both uc!!

I did not see Flavio during my visit when I was in Buenos Aires in May, but he and I had been in communication on two occasions prior to my visit. He's also received high reviews from a couple of guys who have seen and have been with him; they wrote me private emails once I'd written at the sites of which we all are accustomed of using.

Tom, I thunderously applaud you for your gracious contributions, too! I hope all goes well for me in 2011 so that I'd find myself back in Brazil accompanied by my good friend Barr! We travel well together, and his friend (carioca) has been a great help in assisting me as you did at that festa which will always be memorable. I still remember that hottie to whom you introduced me to as well as our time in the room, thus missing out on the games that occurred at poolside! Keep posting, my amigo! The Atlantico Hotel hasn't been this vibrant and active since that time. But I was a little embarrassed by all of the traffic that existed during the days that we were there. Remember afterwards the hotel put a halt to visits thus hindering your dentist's friend's plans. (His name is trying to arise from my brain but isn't!)

TomCal, first off I am most appreciative of the time that you took to write a lengthy and most interesting expose about your most recent traveling experience, AND while I was reading I reflected upon your comments about the length of time the majority of guys stay in one's room at sauna or hotel or apartment (unless it's an overnight) and their "kissing" skills. Recently I was in Buenos Aires, and although I had a few stellar experiences, most of these hot and hung guys who visited me in my apartment failed to stay their hour, and they were not the greatest of kissers. Brazil, I hope that I can visit you sometime during the new year 2011. Right now it is on Barr's and my tentative travel plans! I miss all that TomCal alluded to in the above saga!

Although times change as well as the boys' lives, but do you remember at which sauna he worked? If he's still there in 2011-- I certainly would love to be pleasured by him!

Where is this particular sauna located, and what's its name? At first I thought it was Point 2002, but it's too good looking and welcoming to be that particular one!

Tom, Thanks for your imput. As it turned out, I arrived around 5:o0p and had a five hour layover. Since I was fatigued and other things-- I did not venture out of the International Airport to enjoy the boys at Club 117 or at Meio Mundo. Appreciate your advice/suggestion.. Muito obrigado!!!!

Next month I hope to be spend ten days in Buenos Aires. Upon my return to the States, I will fly from EZE to GIG. Unfortunately I have an eight hour delay before departure. If you were I, would you check your luggage and head out to a sauna or two or hire one or two independents and go to a "love motel" or do neither? I'm toying with the idea of the former, but I am truly undecided and a might bit leary of doing this! What's your take on this!
