After 6 weeks, l got the Slavic pronunciations and the Cyrillic down pretty well. Poland and Ukraine have such beautiful young men. Walking around Warsaw, Gdańsk and Kraków, it seemed that at least a third of the under 30’s were slim, blemish free beauties. I think I saw 6 morbidity obese people in 9 countries in 6 weeks. Amazing.

That’s correct. They all have the new passports. Almost a million now live in Poland, which is thriving. They assimilate well and are well-liked by Poles. I suppose they feel that the Ukrainians are fulfilling their “refugee” responsibilities!

Hot guys everywhere in Kyiv and L’viv. Beautiful facial structure and lean bodies. After the Balkans, it’s great to be in a country with no graffiti or litter. A close childhood friend and his wife and daughter lived there for two years but found it too far from family. They really enjoyed it. They lived in a big apartment near the center. The healthcare is first-world and you can live well as on a middle-class US income. Food is decent. Wines are getting better. Government isn’t corrupt and crime is virtually non-existent. He said it was mostly populated by people with roots in Northern Italy and Spain. He did say it was rather boring, but it was perfect for their circumstances. They, and others, are now considering Portugal. I’m been exploring the Istrian areas of Croatia and Slovenia. I love the people. It’s a lot like Tuscany. I also like parts of Bulgaria and Transylvania.

I admire your ability to get rid of things. When you have two households, you unfortunately accumulate a lot of things. I do have a hard rule, however, about clothes—if I haven’t worn something in two years, no matter how expensive, I donate it.

I’m also taking 2018 as a sabbatical. I’m doing a lot of European travel, mainly in the East. Also going on long bike rides, enjoying friends and my summer place and working out. Next year I’ll choose what I’d like to invest my time and money in. As you all have mentioned, it’s wonderful to have removed stress from my life.

Unless the “hunting rifle” is 8 inches long and uncut.
