I don't know that I would have handled that situation any better, KYTOP. Clearly your AG's actions were not kosher but they were very human. What kind of cold blooded, abstaction obsessed guy would have stood silent and let the cops haul in his family on a serious felony? No way I could let someone lock up one of my brothers if I had the power to block it. (OK, Lucky, you can let fire with both barrels but I'm just saying the truth the best as I can see it. Don't worry about Lucky's memory, Charlie. He only focused in on the Giants after Buster Posey's buttocks caught his attention last summer. Speaking of which, Lucky's boy Buster has been putting on quite a post season show. Who would have guessed that a 23 year old rookie catcher that started the season in the minors would be trusted to call payoff games for the Giants. He sure has stepped up to the plate big time. By the way, Lucky, those pics you posted don't do him full justice. Jogging out to the mound trying his best to look all serious and grownup, he's just heartbreakingly cute! Next up is a game 5 rematch of Halladay and Lincecum. I hope both our guys do well.

A group of us did this once. We sat around all night before a 4th of July slurping beers, gossiping and generally having a jolly ole time. It's a wonderful way of spending a holiday with friends and the results are every bit as delicious as this article describes. The best thing about this method is that it doesn't require any special cooking skills. Just be sure to keep the heat from the coals low to keep from charing the outside. As usual, Lucky has his facts right. Your cells are contantly in contact with the carriers or the phone company wouldn't be able to forward your calls to you. Transmitting a copy of their database information to your friendly local constabulary is no great trouble. When you first power up the phone, it listens for an SID (system ID code) on the control channel. The control channel is a special frequency that the phone and base station use to talk to one another about things like call set-up and channel changing. When it receives the SID, the phone compares it to the SID programmed into the phone. If the SIDs match, the phone knows that the cell it is communicating with is part of its home system. Along with the SID, the phone also transmits a registration request, and the MTSO keeps track of your phone's location in a database -- this way, the MTSO knows which cell you are in when it wants to ring your phone. Taken from how things work. Not that anybody in the government would ever have any reason to track one of us.
