Happy New Year sis. Seems like your brief holiday hiatus made you "soft" on Trump , judging by your last paragraph here ? Do you really believe in a possibility Trump will do ANYTHING to benefit average people ? And do you think he really even cares ? Being the"bad boy fighter" and have his MAGA's scream their love for him is the only thing he wants.....Even if they have to pay $10 for a dozen eggs... Healthcare ? they dont need it. Equality ? They are poor and already NOT equal so who cares ? If theres ONE thing I would never have, is any faith that Trump would ever serve average people and do anything "helpful" for them. It's always and will always be The Trump Show.

Once the rag-tag MAGA's start feeling the pain of their OWN decisions, they just may see the light ? But MAGA opposition MUST stay engaged, regardless how ugly Trump and his clowns get. Todays speaker vote MAY be a sign of the GOP mindset. If they all relinguish absolute power to Trump, it may be harder for the other side to counter ? But if they start "eatting their own" the cracks in their party will be advantageous to the left.

Why do terrorists ALWAYS wear camouflage pants ? Do they honestly think we wont be able to see them commit their deadly acts ? Nevertheless, regardless of the deadly act, and the garbage on the streets, leave it to our dedicated politicians to coldly POLITICIZE it, instead of trying to find ways to mitigate it, Shameful ! We really MUST elect better, more qualified and compassionate people.

An opinion is just that, an opinion, and I only give mine when ASKED.... And I am always honest in my opinions, regardless of what the reaction to them might be. Honesty is always the best policy for me, and its up to the recipient to weigh my opinion against theirs and make the best decision for themselves. On the issue of Christmas lights, things like that dont bother me, and in the big picture of things, for me are trivial and inconsequential. But again, THATS me. If it bothers you, your reaction will no doubt be different. I might "judge" you, but I would never expect you to abandon your virtues for mine. We have much bigger things to be concerned with in todays World than Christmas lights. I am never nice, just to be nice. Its only "if the nice FITS"..... (oops, thats NOT nice !)

Well, compared to Donnie Jr, Hunter was a Choir boy, who had the good sense to stay out of the public eye during his addiction. Fool Donnie Jr is often seen on TV and public appearances, "High to the Hills". slurring and incoherent, yet HIS addiction is never addressed... More Trump shame swept under the rug by the media. How could we have ever expected the Trumps to understand Hunters addiction, when they ignore the addiction in their own tribe ?

@lookin, you know how much I respect you and your opinions, but on this one, I must disagree a bit. Now is NOT the time to be disengaged. We MUST pay attention to everything going on and search for the TRUTH, because we WILL NOT get it from Trump or his administration. All you will get from Trump is "Everything is PERFECT, BECAUSE I SAY SO "... If we "turn off" we will all just get steamrolled by The Trump Train.... You all know thru my posts here of my extreme hatred for Trump and his agenda, and for some time I gave his MAGA psychos a pass on HIS attitude and agenda, but have come to realize THET are as much to blame as he is. Without their undying loyal support, HE would be Nothing. I have given up trying to learn what triggers or angers MAGA, I just dont care anymore. Their agenda is harmful and dangerous, and what THEY still dont realize is that Trumps damage will affect THEM too. They are just an angry and misguided, misinformed group of people, and I cant fix that..... THEY come to any civil conversation ready and wanting to FIGHT. They are a group of "cultists" like no other. So, I stay consumed and aware with the news I feel makes sense to me and seems truthful, from people that have proven to be credible, and hope we can at least get thru 2 years, at which point me might see some reversal of fortune ? There is a Democratic group at the local senior center and I plan on paying them a visit, to perhaps lend a hand. At 74 there is not much "physical" help i can offer, but thankfully my mind is still pretty much in tact. Whatever your plans for continuance are to get thru the day, please stay AWARE and engaged. The STORM is almost here.

There is no doubt that Trump RESENTS all the attention and accolades that Carter and his death are receiving. I am sure Trump hates Carter for "dying on his watch" and stealing his spotlight, and it is obvious Trump DID NOT write his comment on Carters death. It was way too composed and coherent and didnt sound like Trumps "voice" at all.

Vance is a place-holder. and his days are numbered. Knows knows he made a mistake with Vance, he is hated by the public so its best to keep him out of sight with his mouth closed. And with his new buddy Musk, Trump has no time for loser Vance.... I'm sure if Trump can find a way to swap out Vance, HE WILL... cause he knows Vance is coming for HIS job.

While Joe Biden offered Americans a Xmas message of Peace and unity, by contrast The Orange Lump of Shit offered Americans a Lump of coal, with a Christmas Message that Was Basically a Villain Monologue. He tweeted out a 2 page rant, autocratic in tone and message, giving himself flowers for all his Great accomplishments of past and to come in the future, making enemies with some like Trudeau, Panama, and pardoned prisoners on Death row, but praising China, his cabinet picks, and Russia..... It was a disjointed, illogical, and rambling tome of Fantasmagorical proportions, showing how unfit and fucked up his MIND really is..... MAGA loved it, and everyone else scratched their heads and cowered in astonishment and fear. MERRY Trumpmas.

Well, we've had quite a year and have been thru it, but I suspect the WORST is yet to come. However, I must take a moment to thank Everyone in the Politics Forum, my allies and foes, (YOU are a Foe EmmettK), for all your thoughtful, and for the most part Civil discourse over the past year, even IF we ALL were not in agreement.. Being able to share common interests with understanding, thoughtful people is a Blessing we cant overlook.. Have a GREAT Holiday, Christmas or Hanukah, and stay close to the people you love. We will always have debates, but having the RIGHT to do so is the Ulitmate gift ! To All, Sucky

Lets just Hope he doesnt WEAKEN the USA so much that someone will try to ACQUIRE us ? Trump is in his isolationist era.... The whole point of his MAGA declaration is to instill FEAR in the people and hope they will LEAVE on their own, anticipating a WORSE fate if ICE come to get them... Everything about Trump is FEAR, make the media afraid to talk bad about him or he'll sue you and make you life hell..... Never cross him or your political career will be ENDED.... on and on and on.... just be afraid, be VERY afraid. In the end, it might All be just bluster and bullshit, but we sure will see come Jan 21.

Gaetz is the guy that MAGA wants and LOVES.... Lawless, slimy, corrupt, morally bankrupt and nasty.... He's the ultimate BRO, and I dont believe the report will hurt him, they ALL knew this info already, for years, didnt care and did nothing. Only if President Musk and his assistant Trump disapprove of Musk will there be any negative consequences. Otherwise, the report will only enhance his street cred with the MAGA dudes and make him a valuable asset to any position he wants in the govt. .....Since, and as long as there were NEVER any charges filed against Gaetz by the DOJ, public opinion is in HIS favor, and is hard to argue....Nothing to see here Just more corruption in the DOJ by not filing charges when they had ALL that evidence. Obviously there was obstruction, and old Merrit Garland was AGAIN sleeping on the job. Garland was such a FAILURE, and noone did anything about it.

I am SERIOUSLY very doubtful that Trump won "fair and square".... Trump is very transparent when it comes to what he will do, and there were too many red flag comments from Trump for me to believe there wasnt some shady intervention employed.
