  1. The short answer is no, but there is a blurred line between preference and racism, only because people confuse the two. I will only add that racism is alive and well in the gay community. 40+ years of discussing this rarely sees anyone coming together on common ground. There have been numerous threads on that site in the last few years with the same subject matter. After the first couple of posts, there always is a line drawn in the sand, and everyone takes sides. And a week later, no one has changed their minds, and we're back to square one. Mostly because the lack of understanding of the definitions, and because of those damn blurred lines. There are times when people claim preference and it is really racism, but each situation is different. And that's all I got to say about that. MsAnn quietly exits stage left.
  2. I will never forget. I was in LA at the time, so New York was 3 hours ahead of us. I was cooking breakfast around 9:00 am, and a friend called and said turn on the news, the Twin Towers just collapsed. I turned on CNN, but they were running a loop that only showed the North Tower on fire from earlier in the morning. Not realizing the time difference, I called him back and said that they hadn't collapsed, only that the North Tower was on fire. I remember him being irritated by inability to grasp the significance of the event. A few minutes later CNN started broadcasting the collapse of the North and south towers, the Pentagon, and the plane that went down in a field in Pennsylvania. In that moment life changed, and I just knew that it would never quite be the same again.
  3. This was the best.
  4. LOL...yeah that old rice trick is a bunch of BS.
  5. The toilet? Oh my...Don't feel badly, my iPhone5 went the wash, and no, it didn't survey the spin cycle. I took it to the Apple store and the very cute and kind associate took it apart to see how wet it really was. Water just ran out of it all over his counter. I think his comment was "Oh... it's really wet, you weren't kidding." There was a long pause and he finally said, "Do have insurance on it?...Uhhh, that would be a no.
  6. Reports this morning are already saying that people want to wait for the iphone8...
  7. God that man was hot.
  8. New tech rarely sends me running for the credit card, but this is something that I've been watching reports on all day, and I just found myself looking at my credit card sitting on the table, and just saying to myself..."Hmmmm". I know, my android is running just fine, kinda like dads old Hudson Hornet that just wouldn't give up. but I am intrigued. I know sales are down, and much of this is just BS to get us to open our wallets, but still...she is a beauty. http://www.apple.com/iphone-7/?afid=p238|A3OvmzRl-dc_mtid_20925d2q39172_pcrid_12382732158_&cid=wwa-us-kwbi-iphone http://finance.yahoo.com/news/here-it-is-apple-unveils-iphone-7-and-iphone-7-plus-180913013.html
  9. Tristan, thank you for posting. Knowing you, I know your intentions are good, your heart is in the right place, and you are only looking out for friends that have been dragged into this mess. I am aware of what is going on behind the scenes, and all of this has hurt a lot of people and damaged many more careers. The whole thing is just unfortunate. But JD came to these boards weeks ago, and posted endless tirades filled with scandal. His posts went on for weeks, and he just wouldn't let it go. Oz has chosen to delete or at least for now remove those posts from the site, and for good reason. Most here have had their fill with all of this, so I'm not sure how much traction your post will get with Oz. I for one still love you, and always will. I wish you all the best, and please say hello to our Boston boy. Next time he is in the southern command post I promise to make the drive to see him. Luv ya MsAnn/Bigvalboy
  10. This just posted to my inbox from a neighbor and dog lover, and also found elsewhere on the web. Made my day so far.
  11. Buhbye Rocky
  12. Using Daddy's forum? Now that is funny Rocky. I gotta go, you have a nice night.
  13. Well this certainly explains your behavior. That makes you and Draker both TROLLS. Of course it wouldn't be necessary, if you could ever figure out how to use that 'ignore' feature.
  14. Well you're right about Draker. Another on-line TROLL who found pleasure in bullying other posters. Anyone who would support that kind of behavior would guilty by association. If my memory serves me correctly, he is flying stealth these days after he was quite unceremoniously banned for life from another website. You would have to be deeply flawed as a person to get yourself "banned for life."
  15. LMAO...very clever.
  16. Please stop worrying Mr. Oz. He wasted opportunities in the past when there were terrorist attacks on the world stage. No reason to think it would be any different now. Relax, we got this....I think.
  17. How much in US currency?
  18. http://www.politico.com/story/2016/09/poll-trump-clinton-who-is-winning-227751 She still leads in key swing states. See Ohio, North Carolina, Florida, Virginia, Michigan, and PA., and the electorial map favors her. Besides, I never liked CNN. NBC/ has her up. Whew! Trump up 2 points over Clinton in national poll Read more: http://www.politico.com/story/2016/09/poll-trump-clinton-who-is-winning-227751#ixzz4JTq14N4C Donald Trump has a two-point edge over Hillary Clinton in the latest CNN/ORC national survey of likely voters out Tuesday, as the Democratic nominee's post-convention lead has largely evaporated. Among those likely to vote in two months, Trump took 45 percent to Clinton's 43 percent, while Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson earned 7 percent and Green Party nominee Jill Stein had 2 percent. But among all registered voters surveyed, Clinton leads by 3 points, 44 percent to 41 percent, while Johnson took 9 percent and Stein 3 percent.Women support Clinton by 15 points (53 percent to 38 percent), while men are behind Trump by a larger margin of 22 points (54 percent to 32 percent). Among those younger than 45, Clinton leads 54 percent to 29 percent, while among those older than 45, Trump leads 54 percent to 39 percent. Regardless of whom they support, however, nearly six in 10 — 59 percent — said they thought Clinton would ultimately prevail in November, while 34 percent said Trump would. The Republican nominee has a slightly higher favorability rating than Clinton among likely voters, although both are still underwater. Trump is seen favorably by 45 percent and unfavorably by 55 percent, while Clinton is at 42 percent to 56 percent. The disparity between the two candidates is lessened among registered voters. The poll was conducted via landlines and cellphones from Sept. 1-4, surveying 1,001 adults with an overall margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points, including 886 registered voters and 786 likely voters.
