Scruff has a very useful feature. You can set your travel months in advance, and your profile will show up in the Visitors menu, showing the dates when you will actually be there. Two of the three guys I made contact with before arriving to Medellin, contacted me because they saw that I was coming to visit. Grindr has not such a tool. You can set your grindr to explore any location around the world without the locals seeing your profile. However, they can see when you check their profile, and you can contact anyone you find interesting. That is how I made contact with my third "local guide".

That is an issue in any place around the world. That is why I am not advising to accept exchange offers from the countless street traders that are voicing their offer in the streets trough Florida and Lavalle in their pedestrian areas. You will not have a problem if you follow my advice and go to travel agencies and currency exchange shops. I have never stayed in an hotel in Buenos Aires, but I would assume their counter staff are also reliable. @msclelovr was asking whether or not he would be able to pay with dollar bills. You may, but many places (and most escorts) would not accept them, afraid that the dollars would be counterfeited. -

The situation has not changed since my last year's report. The most convenient thing to do is to bring cash in dollars, and look for places to exchange them to local currency. Most travel agencies and currency exchange outlets are desperate for dollars and will buy yours at the "Blue" value. Inflation is rampant (60% the last 12 months) and currency exchange usually goes up in favor of dollars, so I would sell 200 bucks and live with that until I exchange another 200. As os today, the official rate is U$S 1 x $AR 128. The Blue rate is 1 x 216. If you do not have the skills or knowledge to access Blue rates, I would use my credit card, even at official rates the prices are good. -
After one of my best flight experiences ever, I landed in Ezeiza this morning. I flew to Dallas first, and both planes were absolutely full. However, there were no delays and American's service was spotless. However, the best part was arriving to Buenos Aires. It took me 10 minutes (actually a few seconds less) to go through immigrations (100% automatic, I did not have to talk to anyone), getting my luggage (for the first time in my traveling history I arrived to the claim area at the same time my bag was coming up), and going through customers. Beautiful. The day was a Día Peronista, no clouds and perfectly sunny to warm us up, it is winter here. My airbnb is great, the only disappointment was that I assume the balcony was on top of Plaza Armenia, but actually is at the back of the building. Let me share a few pics. There is even a wine cooler that I am not planning to use. Soon after arriving, I had a great surprise. My brother and his wife traveled from Corrientes only to spend time with me this weekend. So my real adventures will not start until they are gone on Monday. Anyways, if you have been reading my reports, you know that my trips to Buenos Aires are focused on family and old friends, and the adventures are a side note. In the airports in the USA and onboard, I saw very few masks (I traveled maskless), and the few people wearing them was doing it in a totally useless way. Buenos Aires is different. Even when the mask mandates have been dropped, a lot of people are still masked up, even outdoors. I am wearing my mask pulled down, and mask up when I am with someone who is wearing a mask, as a show of politeness and empathy. Palermo Soho was crowded with people taking advantage of the Peronist Day. With my family, we went out for lunch and chose a nearby parrilla, Doña Totally, named in honor of Diego Maradona's mother. The place was packed. I liked the decorations, full of Rio de la Plata flavor: There were no free tables outside, but fortunately we did not have to wait because my 84 years old mother was cold and wanted to sit inside. The food was excellent. Take a look at the prices: We were five and did not drink wine. However, we ordered appositives, main dishes and desserts, and my mother took the left overs because we could not eat all of it. We spent less than 60 dollars. Grindr is not as active as it was in my other Palermo location, a year ago, but it is keeping me interested. Anyways, I am tired and family oriented, I am not sure whether or not I will submit to the temptation.

I was not criticizing your experience or you, but just highlighting that was a personal impression. In my opinion (and this is my personal impression), there are some countries where you will find more often a not so open attitude towards other languages. I cannot speak of Canadians, unfortunately I have never visited. But in the States I often find people who thinks that everyone should learn and speak English while at the same time being completely and absolutely ignorant of other languages and cultures. This has not happened to me as often in other cultures. Educated South Americans are open to cultural influences from Europe and the USA. Not because we are better, but because of socio-political-cultural circumstances. We have been receiving those influences in multiple ways and formats, as cultural production has streamed predominantly North to South for decades. Internet and globalization have given more room to our ideas and production, but the unbalance is still evident. A more open attitude towards other cultures and languages is a natural consequence.

You should stay away from these generalizations. That could have been @xpaulo's experience, because of his personal circumstances. If you are actually planning a trip abroad, you should take personal impressions not so seriously, and focus on factual data.

LOL! What is wrong about it? I love the huevones. I am trying to recall one, but it looks like I do not dislike any accents. I am trying to think of one I do not like, and the only accents that come to my mind are my favorite ones. Like the Dominican and all the different Caribbean accents, that give me boners. Or the accent of Córdoba (Argentina), that is almost musical. And I can keep going. I like them all.

Do not call them Columbians or call their country Columbia. They are very sensitive about that.

As a native speaker, I find super interesting your views on Spanish. I do, this is not a bitchy comment. It surprises me that you all seem to think that Colombian Spanish has less slang, or is better spoken than in other places. I doubt it, but who knows? In my short visit to Medellin, and I am aware it is just one city and one week, I did not have such an impression. There is so much slang that I continuously had to be asking for meanings, just as happens to me in many places of many Spanish speaking countries, included Argentina. I am wondering whether in Colombia you have been interacting with mostly educated natives. In good schools across Hispanic America, we learn a standard version of the language. The educated classes of our countries tend to speak this version. Perhaps when you were in other countries you were less exposed to standard Spanish? I guess. it is not different that English speaking countries. About what the best place to learn Spanish, I doubt that the dialectal version spoken in a particular area may be relevant at all. What is relevant is whether or not the language schools are good. Mexico and Colombia have excellent schools and are closer to the States and Europe. Indeed, they are a very good choice to get immersed in Spanish. However, there are also excellent schools in Spain, Chile, Argentina, Perú, and Uruguay. Particularly in Buenos Aires, I recommend the Laboratorio de Idiomas de la Universidad de Filosofía y Letras, Universidad de Buenos Aires.

If you needed to be glued to find a good hook up, you would be correct. However, Grindr is the most effective way to find a nearby hook up for free. I have no issues paying for sex, but it is very nice to fuck now and them with someone who actually finds you attractive. Sometimes, it takes you as much as five minutes when you are a traveler.

bilatinmen, where is this studio?
Latbear4blk replied to babybear2's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
Determining where BLM is "located" is only relevant for tax purposes, I guess. Since the very beginning, BLM has been a porn brand and not a conventional studio. There is no studio, but hotel rooms and friends' bedrooms where the scenes are filmed. I guess the question is not where the studio is located, but where the scenes are recorded. If you set their video library in chronological order, you can distinguish quite clear "seasons". For a long times the videos location seem to be Mexico or the USA Southern border. There is no much difference and to me is hard to tell when the action is taking place in California or in Mexico. Then there are several videos from Argentina. I am not sure whether the guy behind the brand traveled over there, or bought a pack of videos produced in Buenos Aires. Finally, all the videos are located in Colombia. -

Finding who are the Brazilian porn stars is easy. Check the Brazilian porn sites models catalogues. In my experience, they overwhelmingly work also as escorts. Brazilian adult entertainers love Instagram rather than Twitter. Do your research and you will find their IG profiles. Make them an offer through messaging. Most of them do not publish but do take contracts. -
