First time in Brazil - Rio, SP and ???
Latbear4blk replied to Taikonaut's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
Yep. Now the falls are cute beautiful. Normally, they used to be scary beautiful. The Paraná river is at an historic low. Climate change in all the areas directly influenced by the Amazonian system (which is all South America but Patagonia) is speeding up at alarming levels. Most of my family lives in Corrientes city, the heat is scorching, and a huge fire just burnt significant parts of the Iberá, not far away. The whole city was covered by ashes for several days. -
What about this, @macdaddi? Have you ever been in one of these events? https://www.instagram.com/p/Caxo0-4l9xk/

Hey, do not withhold information, please! If you know any of these guys, let me now! Specially if I should avoid any of them. I am puzzled at some of them contacting me in Grindr and not mentioning any fees, and engaging in conversation like a regular hook up. Others do it at the second message, like Alan.

True, no one will be disappointed, the falls are beautiful anyways. However, the picture above shows significantly less water than all the times I have been around. -

I would say skip it this time. There is a historic draught that has taken the Parana river to low levels I have never seen in my life. The Iguazy Falls must be just a shadow of what they usually are. -

Older videos are from California, Mexico, and Argentina. All the last videos are from Colombia. -
Colombia: full list of hot spots
Latbear4blk replied to Tartegogo's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
I am already connecting with mileroticos advertisers and BiLatinMen performers through Grindr. I may end moving to Colombia. -
I have been checking my neighborhood in Google Maps, and I love it. Definitively, Medellín is becoming a strong candidate to be one of my after retirement bases. Even in Google Maps, the city seems to be full of attractive men.

Yes, my research agrees with you. Thanks for the tip on those apartments, but I already have a nest at a great price. Now, I hope to coincide with @macdaddi or other travelers.

I just booked my flights and airbnb. I will be staying in a small apartment near Laureles.

"Música folclórica argentina" predates Tango in the Argentine Music History's timeline. Unlike Tango, it represents the deep inner country and the most traditional cultural values. Although the folkloric movement embraced political progressive ideas, I had never heard of a switch on cultural values until recently. You will need to use a translator, but I recommend you to read this article. It provides a general outlook of several very interesting queer developments. I cannot picture what a non South American brain sees in these pictures. When I saw these pictures and read this article, I was not able to see beauty, but felt an intense curiosity. Then, I found this video: Cosquín is the most important folkloric music festival in Argentina. Until now, it was the last shelter for "traditional family values". The fact that an artist like Ferni would have broken those boundaries was thrilling even before watching her performance. When I watched her performance, something strange happened. There was a battle in my brain between those parts of me I have been demolishing for decades on one side, and on the other those parts of me I have been constructing for most of my life. When I hit play, at the beginning I was too distracted by her looks and her mannerisms. I could appreciate her singing a little bit, but the dinosaur in me who never ends to die would keep me judging. And then I closed my eyes. Indeed, she is an exceptionally talented singer. This interpretation is personal, honest, and beautiful. She moves me. When I opened my eyes again, my prejudices were gone and I was able to fully appreciate her performance and the intentionality in some of her body language. I have always been moved to tears when I am listening to interpretations by artists like Atahualpa Yupanqui or Suma Paz, this is the first time that a new artists moves me.

How to Carry Cash to Brazil?
Latbear4blk replied to Jake's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
I never had a problem with ATMs in Rio and Salvador. I can usually withdraw 1K rials, which allows for several days of boys. They are mostly the only Brazilian product I need cash for, everything else is paid with credit cards, including the saunas bill. -
I am not trying to convince anyone. Americans love overpaying for their drugs.

Check Argentina, or Chile, or Uruguay. Who produced the documentary?

New Gay-Owned Coffee Company Rio
Latbear4blk replied to alwaysrio's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
I do not care who owns the company as long as the coffee is good. Is the coffee good? -
So American to think the their approved FDA drugs are superior quality than those produced in other countries. I have been consuming generic viagra for years, and it works perfectly. I did not notice any difference when I switched from the original brand. In Buenos Aires you can buy it in neighborhood pharmacies without a prescription. That is the secret, at least in Argentina: do not go to pharmacy chains but to small hood stores.

We live in a multiverse, my friends. We cancel each other. What we (I) find outrageous in Gaetz, millions find admirable. Oh, and about the debate on whether or not Jews are a race, are we not talking semantics? Although Whoopi was clearly confused, and even when the USA census may disagree, Jews were a race for the Nazis. It does not matter what we think that race is or is not.

short Jan Brazil trip report
Latbear4blk replied to babybear2's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
I am sad you did not have a good experience in Salvador. Based in your comment about the beach, I do not think you explored much. You are on point on the sauna scene, it cannot compete against Rio.
