I think it is called racist guilt. To cover your preference for and complicity with American White Supremacy, and your lack of empathy and caring for the people of color living next to you, you cry for the lives of Brown People you read about in media.
-
LOL. I guess we will fly for ever in circles.
-
The question is how are you treating them when you support Trump's reelection.
-
How can you care about genocides on the other side of the world and show no concern for your neighbors lives? It sounds like bull shit to justify supporting Trump. I do care for anyone being murdered or mass murdered anywhere in the world, although naturally and logically I am primarily concerned for the lives closer to me. Right now there are hundreds of thousands of people, disproportionately People of Color, dying because of the pandemic. If you are a DC resident (and you are actually involved with the local community), you know that most fatalities are Black and Brown people. The pandemic would have not gotten to this point in the USA with a competent administration. If you cared at all for your neighbors, you would be supporting Biden-Harris.

Yes! I would go to public libraries reading everything written by Verne!

Sssshhhh... do not say it aloud! If @numazu1learns about it, he may be getting a ticket back to SP.

I know, I just cannot choose when to travel. My windows are one week in April, one in November, two weeks in Dec/Jan, and 6 in June/Jul/Aug. I do my best with that. -
I accept your apology for pretending to actually know Chomsky's thinking and inaccurately (and perhaps dishonestly?) using him to back your political stand. And so I apologize for trolling you. I will do my best to resist the temptation in the future. Now, I will keep working to get Biden and Harris elected, even when I do not like them.
-
Awwwwwwe @tassojunior, so you like laughing at Kamala but you do not like when I laugh at you. Let's do this. I will apologize to you if you accept that you lied to us pretending that you read Chomsky.

Plane cabins could change dramatically because of the pandemic. Here’s how.

I guess he gets to these conclusions from his imaginary readings of Chomsky. LOL.

At this point, I am having fun.

I will be in Rio in November, hopefully. Warm enough to go to the beach. -
Rather than her speech, I am looking forward to see her debating Pence. It is going to be good.

Did you read their reading of a 5 days convention after one day? Pure bitterness and resentment. They are clearly playing for Trump team. It will be remembered. I always hated the inability to make editions here, but these days I AM LOVIN'IT.

I am not going to get distracted. If you want to work for Trump's reelection, it is your decision.

was really making an objective observation. I made no comment about anyone's color. I live in DC. 90% of my neighbors are working class Black families. Not only I live with them, I am an active participant and member of neighborhood and community associations and organizations. The overwhelming majority of my friends and lovers are Black, from all ages, educational levels, and social extractions. For almost 20 years I have developed and kept a deep engagement with what I consider is my community. I know what people and community leaders think not because I read it in newspapers or in social media, I talk to,, love and work and interact daily and intensely with them. DC Black community is quite diverse, but in a city that voted 4% for Trump, it is really challenging to find Trump lovers within it. It is almost as hard to find Harris haters. There are groups of Left activists (I am usually actively supportive of the Leftists groups) who like myself are not enthusiastic about Kamala, but we all agree that now it is time to leave our differences aside and support the dems ticket against Trump. I also heard of a very small group that opposes her. They are few, and not representative of where the overall local Black community, in al its different political nuances, stands. Perhaps, DC Black community is not representative of the overall Black American community (I intentionally use Black to include not only African Americans but also the very influential local African immigrants community). I give you that. But in DC, opposition to Kamala seems to be irrelevant so far. I hear mostly White folks criticizing her from the Left and the Right.

If you had any Black friends, you would know what an overwhelming number of them is quite happy with Kamala.

HBO is starting this Sunday a new series based in Lovercraft imagery. I am always surprised about how many Americans do not know this writer. He and Poe are probably in my top 5 favs. If I remember properly, and of course if this show is actually good, @AdamSmithmay enjoy it. -
Do not get distracted with the anti-Harris crap. It is time to close lines, compromise, and go against Trump.
