torogen got a reaction from AsianExplorer in Colombia: full list of hot spotsThe dancers at Lotus at Theatron (the top floor, men only on Friday and Saturdays) are definitely available, but it is hard to contact them there, because they are swept off the stage and rushed out by the bouncers as soon as they finish dancing. Perhaps you could hand them your number or something along with a note, but they'd have to hold it in their hand, because they have nowhere else to put it!
The same dancers (and more) appear at Moxxxo at Club Mozo. I believe that event still happens every Wednesday. Lots of strippers dancing all night, all of them available (no cabins or anything, although one stripper did offer to blow me in the bathroom).
There are also orgies called "Angel's Naked Party" (@angelsnparty on twitter--these events take place regularly in Bogota, but also in Medellin and Cartagena, perhaps elsewhere as well), where the organizers hire boys to perform for the crowd, putting on a show to get everyone started, and also to participate with some of the clients. Those boys are of course obligated to stay until they have finished their allotted time, but most are available for a fee either during or after the festivities. One thing to know: you really are required to get naked for those events. And they aren't exactly luxurious...lots of guys getting fucked everywhere, with all the sights and scents you might imagine from a scene like that.

torogen got a reaction from AsianExplorer in Costa Rica report from a past tripAlso, to update this, Pucho's burned down and reopened at half its original size. It is now filled with VERY aggressive and obnoxious strippers. The patio and darkroom are gone, although they have been replaced by an upstairs maze with gloryholes and such. I never saw it busy, but there was always some action. Free action. The strippers might be available after their shifts, but the vibe I got was that they were strictly watched, and allowed only to go to the "private room" with a paying client (who had paid the bartender the requisite fee).

torogen got a reaction from AsianExplorer in Costa Rica report from a past tripLooking back at my emails from all those years ago, I see that I was able to make several contacts by using Manhunt, Adam4Adam, craigslist (now gone), and classified ads on this site: https://cr.skokka.com/ It basically functions like craigslist--a free online classifieds ad service. It seems relatively well-utilized. For example, there were 19 gay escort ads placed yesterday: https://cr.skokka.com/escorts-gay/san-jose/ It seems that they are asking between 12,000 and 60,000 colones ($20-100, approximately), depending on how muscular they are, what you want to do, etc. Quality/type of the guys varies widely. A few cute twinks, a few handsome muscular bodybuilder types, lots of relatively average/normal guys.
Also, this website, which has a "men seeking men" section, where a lot of escorts advertise: https://san-jose.wanuncios.com/chico-busca-chico-199.html

torogen got a reaction from AsianExplorer in Costa Rica report from a past tripI have not seen much info on Costa Rica here, so I wrote up a report about a trip I took several years ago. I checked as I was writing, and most of the info still seems to be relevant (places are still in operation, etc.) Prices may have changed, of course.
I have visited Costa Rica twice now, but haven’t been since summer 2012. I am excited to return next month. I found Costa Rica to be beautiful and laid back, and a lot of fun. The country’s infrastructure is very basic, with a clear division between the poor/older areas and the newer upscale areas. All of the gay attractions I visited were in the older areas. I stayed in San Jose and in Manuel Antonio and enjoyed both.
San Jose
The strip club Pucho’s has a very standard formula: At 10:00 PM, the strippers all come out in G-strings and dance for exactly 10 minutes. Afterward, you get 50 minutes of drag queens who are actually pretty good. At 11:00 PM, the boys return, but this time fully nude…then 50 more minutes of drag queens. At midnight, the dancers return, but this time with erections, and they dance for 10 minutes. Many clients approach the stage and sample the merchandise (sometimes even with their mouths). If at any time you decide you want a “private” with one of the dancers, you pay the bartender, and the dancer takes you behind the scenes. I did not go, but it seemed that they simply took clients into the dressing room, where other strippers and drag queens were located. Any of those strippers is available for a fee, but you may have to pay a fee to the bar if they leave before the midnight show.
Pucho’s is popular among locals, but not just for the dancers. They have a restaurant and a patio and a dark room attached. This was not immediately apparent, because the door is kept closed between the two parts…you must go through what looks like a door to the outside, but is really a door into the restaurant, cut through the corner of the restaurant, and then exit again onto the patio. The dark room and patio are packed. Many types of guys. Younger, older, nondescript, handsome…truly all types of guys go there.
There is a brothel in San Jose called Oasis Erotic Massage. You enter the place, and the proprietor calls all the working guys to the front, and you get to make your choice. There are different price points, and the proprietor explains in Spanish that everything is included including oral, or penetration if you go with the more expensive option (you also get a nicer room). You basically pay $25 or $40, depending on what you want, and that includes the use of a room for an hour. Despite the very explicit assurances by the guy who runs the place, the guy I went with (a handsome and friendly 19 year old from Honduras), tried to get more money from me for basic services. I wouldn’t say it was a great option, but a few of the guys were at least young/cute/fuckable.
The better place I found to look for escorts was on craigslist or on the Spanish language websites that offer erotic services ads, or on Grindr (I apologize, but I can’t recall the specific website that had many ads for escorts and massage). On this next trip, I will also try Planet Romeo.
I had a lot of luck simply going to bars and meeting people. Ticos are friendly and approachable, and gay tourists are enough of a novelty to garner some attention just by their presence.
Late one night, after exiting Pucho’s and getting into one of the many waiting taxis, the driver asked me if I was looking for a boy, because he knew a place where lots of hustlers hang out--Parque Nacional on Av.1 and Calle 19. He said that any of them would be very happy to do anything I wanted for $20, or they would stay the whole day/night for $40. I had already arranged to meet someone at my hotel for massage and oral ($20), but I took his card and he promised he would take me there the next day. Unfortunately, with the janky cell phone service at that time, I could not reach him the next day, despite trying about 20 times. I got a message each time saying the person you are trying to reach is out of the area or unavailable. I did call a regular taxi and try to drive past the park the next evening, but the driver did not speak English, so rather than explaining what I was doing, I asked him to drive slowly past the park because I was looking for a friend. After one trip around the block, and not seeing any likely candidates, I told him to circle back and I would get out and wait for my friend, and he immediately responded with alarm, “No, no, no. Muy peligroso! (very dangerous)” This was something I encountered several times in San Jose: warnings from the locals to never walk anywhere downtown after dark. Always take a taxi. Even for a trip of one or two blocks. I didn’t spend enough time there to gauge if these warnings were overblown, because I figured it was probably better to be safe than sorry, and I took a taxi everywhere. And one final note on the taxis: three of my taxi drivers let me know very plainly that they would be willing to fuck for a little money, and I got the feeling that several others would have been open to the idea.
Manuel Antonio
Manuel Antonio has a reputation as a gay destination, but the reasons for that seem to be historical (there used to be a popular nude beach, but it has been shut down because a hotel was built overlooking the beach). There is a gay hotel that I enjoyed very much (Hotel Villa Roca: https://www.villaroca.com/ ), but the area has very little to offer in the way of sex tourism, at least that I could find. It is pretty much a beautiful jungle paradise, with an amazing national forest where I saw sloths, toucans, howler monkeys, spider monkeys, and a beautiful but very poisonous golden eyelash viper (oropel). The tour guide I hired through the desk clerk at my hotel turned out to be a fun and friendly gay bear who came onto me, but he wasn’t really my type, so I passed, but I did enjoy his tour very much. There were two guys in the area offering massage, but it was clear that it was legit/therapeutic massage, and the desk clerk acted completely scandalized when I asked if there were any guys who offered “extra” service. He shouted at me, “NO!” and said there was no way any guys in the area would do such a thing. This despite the fact that I was hit up by a few guys on Grindr, so I knew very well that there WERE locals who were willing to provide services for a fee. Most of those guys live in the nearby town of Quepos, so expect to pay for their taxi to your location if you stay at Villa Roca or one of the resorts closer to the national park.
There were multiple other clients staying at the property. They have a happy hour each evening at the pool, and that offered a chance to hang out with the other guests, who were mostly from Mexico and Costa Rica, or from other Central and South American countries. I got the vibe that the very handsome bartender would have been available for pay.
One last note about Manuel Antonio/Villa Roca: After I returned to San Jose, I happened to see one of the owners of Villa Roca at a bar with an attractive, much younger guy. So, if I were to return to Manuel Antonio, I would be more likely to ask the owners of the property about the availability of rentboys, rather than the officious desk clerk. Or maybe hire someone in San Jose and take them along if you want to be sure of companionship.

torogen got a reaction from Axiom2020 in Costa Rica report from a past tripHere is some evidence of the quality of guys who are available in San Jose. This guy is currently advertising on craigslist (and these photos are posted publicly on his ad). He is asking for $100 USD for an hour. More expensive than the prices I mentioned, but then again, he is much more attractive than anyone I met on my previous trip, so I can see how he can command a higher price. I will update my report or write a new one when I have more current information.

torogen got a reaction from Axiom2020 in Havana trip November 2017In the US, we say embargo, in Cuba they say El Bloqueo. We don't call it the Blockade, so I translated that as "the embargo". Not sure what the rest of your comment means, since I didn't visit that part of the island, and I'm not that informed about the political situation on the ground in Cuba. I mentioned something I saw. I did find it surprising that the citizens were almost uniformly positive about their government.
And yes, that is exactly the Michael Lucas I mentioned. I have seen him on multiple trips: Puerto Vallarta (twice), Rio, and now in Cuba. His is an interesting life. He "discovered" Alejandro Castillo (his stage name) in Puerto Vallarta, a beautiful and sweet boy who was basically kind of a buff drifter, but who is now a porn star and a PV nightlife staple. Alejandro Castillo as a porn star:
And before becoming famous:
That hugely thick dick meant that boy was destined to become famous for it, IMO. The icing is that he's one of the nicest guys I've ever met.

torogen got a reaction from Axiom2020 in Havana trip November 2017I have been to Mexico and several Central and South American countries, but this was my first foray into Cuba. I spent 6 days in Havana and the surrounding area. This report encompasses my impressions of the city and the scene in Havana.
There are still many beautiful men in Havana. There are MANY guys trying to make money by having sex with tourists. The scene is mostly on the street, but also at the bars, and there are some peculiarities that I have not experienced elsewhere.
On my first night, I strolled down to the base of “La Rampa”, or The Ramp, which is a five-block-long incline that leads from the high point at Ave 23 and L Street down to the Malecon on the oceanfront. I noticed many guys sitting around on the raised wall of some planters along the route. The wifi in Cuba at this point is very difficult and glitchy—you must buy a wifi card for 2 CUCs ($2) and go to a public park to log in to the wifi signal, which is often weak, or which may disappear entirely at points. For this reason, apps like Grindr and Scruff and Planet Romeo are of limited use—I got many messages on them, but the guys often did not respond until hours later or the next day. In this way, Cuba really is a face-to-face cruising environment, which is fine with me.
The very first time I sat down and tried to log onto the wifi, a guy sitting about 10 feet away from me moved over and said hello. He was clearly a young gay guy, and he pulled out his phone to help him translate, since I couldn’t understand all of his rapid Spanish. I almost choked when he showed me the translation, which was “do you want a child?”—until I realized that he had typed chico, which is really just slang for boy, or (more accurately), “guy”. I laughed and told him that the translation was NOT a good translation, and explained a bit, and he immediately pulled out his ID (which all Cubans are very conscientious about carrying on their person at all times—in case it is needed), to show me that he really was 18 years old. He was friendly, but not exactly my type, and we chatted for a bit and I moved off to seek out some more fun.
I discovered during my trip that the Cuban gay nightlife is very organized, almost as if all the bars were owned by the same person, and the bars often cross-promoted with other bars (the most popular bar during the week, Club Las Vegas, which is standing room only on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, does not even open on Saturday, just as an example—can you imagine a gay bar in the US voluntarily closing on a weekend night, just because that night was more popular at another bar?) A sidenote about the gay bars: the entertainment is extremely uniform across the bars. Wherever you go, there are drag queens, followed by a few group dance routines (including some professional dancers), followed by more drag queens. On the night of my arrival, on Tuesday night at Club Las Vegas, I was told that I needed to buy a bottle of rum for $25 if I wanted a table (it came with three colas as mixers), or I could simply pay a $10 per table fee. I opted for that. The show was capped off by the drag queen IMPERIO “El Icono Trans de Cuba”, and she sang (lip-synced) 8 fucking songs in a row as the finale. I have never seen a more self-indulgent display. She has her fans, but she’s her own biggest fan.
The scene for rentboys is this: along La Rampa from dusk until around 8 pm, guys gather to socialize and see if they can make some money. After sundown, many move to a restaurant called Toke, on the corner of Calle 25 and Infanta (a decent restaurant that makes good cocktails and offers cheap and totally acceptable food, but which only has seating for around 30 people, half indoors and half in front). That occupancy is if all the tables are occupied by the full complement of two or four guests, but the Cubans seated me by myself at a table for four, and many of the other tables were occupied by single guys, so the actual occupancy is more frequently limited to around 15 people. There were something like 30 to 50 boys hanging out on the street in front, trying to make some money. They will walk right up to you as you eat (if you are in front), and ask if you will allow them to sit and buy them a drink. This arrangement took place every night I was there, with the single exception of Saturday night, when the crowd gathered later in the evening, around 9 or 10 pm. When the bars open (around 11 pm, truly “night” clubs), much of the action moves inside. I had several guys beg me to pay their cover or take them in and buy them a drink. If you go in alone, you will continue to be hit up aggressively by the guys who are already inside the club, for drinks and sex.
At this point, it becomes necessary to mention one of the peculiarities of Cuba—even though it was clear these guys had almost nothing, and they really wanted to make some money, none of them wanted to come out and give a price. They responded with simple assurances such as, no, whatever we do is fine with me, and if you like me and wish to give me a gift, that is fine. They may express boundaries such as “I don’t get fucked”, but across the board, they were willing to suck dick (if, as it turned out on my first choice, somewhat amateurishly), but they were otherwise genuinely friendly and eager to please.
My type could be described as adorable masculine guys with (most important) a cute face, a nice body (which could be naturally muscular due to genetics and age, or could be a gym body), FRESH BREATH (this killed many of the otherwise beautiful guys I met in Brazil), nice dick, and friendly. I found this the first night with a 21 year old that I picked up on the street after leaving the bar.
When we got back to the place, we made out for quite a while, and he was an eager kisser and not at all squeamish. When it came to sucking dick, though, he was turned off by the obvious precum that I was producing. Still, he attempted to suck my dick (never suggesting a condom), while still stopping frequently to spit out the precum/quickly wipe his tongue. It was fun, but it was not really getting anywhere, and he had agreed to come with me based on whatever I wanted to pay, so I wasn’t too upset, partially because I have encountered this reaction many times before (it really is copious), and partly because he was such a nice guy and so eager to please. We ended up just shooting on each other’s tongues. I paid him $30 CUCs, and he seemed extremely happy, saying “thank you!” enthusiastically. Afterwards, he was enthralled by my NastyPig hat, and wanted me to take photos of him modeling it, so I have several photos, even though he never requested that I send a photo to him—I guess it just made him happy that a photo of him wearing that hat existed. He did want to see the photo, and he smiled when he saw it.
I went to the beach twice while I was there—Mi Cayito, which is the “gay” beach. It is a 30 minute cab ride from Havana—and all of the cab drivers I spoke to quoted me a price of $25 CUCs for the ride (taxis were the only expensive thing I encountered in Havana). The first cab driver offered to wait for me for several hours, rather than wasting gas back to the city, and I said yes. This arrangement isn’t a bad idea, but you will be able to find a taxi later on, so you shouldn’t worry too much about this point. If there are no taxis immediately available at Mi Cayito when you decide to leave, a 5 minute walk will bring you to a more populated area.
The scene on the beach was laid back. You can rent a chair and umbrella for 2 CUCs each. The stand is run by the government, and they close precisely at 5 pm on weekdays and 6 pm on weekends. There is a little restaurant/bar over the dune, near the parking lot, and they offered drinks for around $2.25, plus food, and they were very friendly. I did see one older guy running food back-and-forth from the food stand, but he never approached me or my end of the beach, so I’m not sure if he was a freelance person who just showed up to offer his services as a waiter or what. That may well have been the case—there was a guy in La Habana Vieja who makes his living telling tourists on the street that there is a bar on the top of Hotel Ambos Mundos (something not immediately apparent), and then hoping for tips from grateful patrons who appreciated his assistance. Havana was full of people who had apparently carved out a similar extremely tiny niche for themselves.
The second boy I picked up was an 18 year old that I also met on the street. He had said hi to me the day before, but we finally connected on my second night in town. He was a darker guy with more African features, a large cock, and a wicked smile. He was also very dirty. He was conscientious about telling me that he need to take a shower before we could do anything. He also left my bar of soap covered with a dark film, so it was clear that he had needed the bath. He turned out to be less squeamish about sucking dick than my first guy, but he did quote a price to me: $25. He offered to let me fuck him bareback for an additional $5, but I skipped that option.
A last note: the first boy that I met on the street, the 18 year old who I had passed over, primarily because he was a little femme for my tastes, followed me for several days and kept trying to say hi, before simply telling me that he is great at sucking dick, and he swallows, and he would do it for whatever I wanted to pay…$10, or $15. So if you aren’t picky, it would seem that Cuba still offers many eager guys who are willing to do most anything you would want.

torogen got a reaction from sluttino in Porn Can ONLY be Posted in Photo Forum AreaSo, just to be clear, any photos with any nudity at all (not just explicit action/porn shots) are now specifically disallowed in a general section, such as the Latin American Men and Destinations area? I had posted some nudes in a report I did there. Maybe it would be better to edit the report, so the thread stays in the relevant section? That would of course mean that people would need the ability to (at least temporarily) edit older posts. I for one would be happy to edit the photos to remove the nudity. It's not like I've posted a ton of nudes.
And maybe a statement of the rules would be warranted at this point...if it exists, I can't find it. I may have read or accepted some rules way back when I first created this account, but if I did, I honestly can't remember them. From the forum area, I see nothing. If I go to the main site, I see a link to a "Help & Info" page that states: " Chats and posts of a sexually explicit nature are not only tolerated – they are encouraged. We want you to get down and dirty." Maybe something like that, but updated with current rules, and linked in the header and/or footer of the forums would be helpful.

torogen reacted to RockHardNYC in Democrats charge President Trump with abuse of power and obstruction of CongressTrump is guilty as sin, and most reasonable, non-partisan thinkers know this. I take my legal cues from scholars Lawrence Tribe and Neal Katyal, to name just a few. I absolutely don't listen to partisan legal talking heads.
It is absolutely astonishing to me that the same party who impeached Bill Clinton over his lie about a sex allegation is now turning a blind eye to actual abuse of power and extortion. All the Republican Party cares about is money and power. They will say and do anything to keep power, even support a Mafia boss. Trump has exposed the Party's hypocrisy to the MAX. Most of us knew it was always there. Now, the Party is a joke. A complete and total FRAUD.
In NYC, I hear often that many people are hoping, praying that Trump dies a quick death. Some are sitting by their TV sets waiting for the fat-ass Mafia boss to fall down the stairs of Air Force One. Trump is the most hated president in my lifetime. He's hated because he truly believes, as president, he's above the law. And now he's got fat-ass Bill Barr to protect him.
God help America if Trump gets re-elected. America may not survive that tragedy.
(Edit)
What does the future hold?
Personally, I think the Republican Party deserves to be punished badly for putting this corrupt buffoon in the White House. And I mean punished badly. A hard lesson needs to be learned so the country can avoid something like this moving forward.
I'm hoping that Democratic turn-out is going to break records, no matter who the nominee is. Trump (and his family) incites voters like no other political name in recent history. Even if Joe Biden gets the nomination, there may be a flood of voters who are desperate to return to "normal" and will get behind their uncle Joe. There are millions of baby boomers (and their kids) who are desperate to save and reform health care. The future of Medicare and Medicaid depend on Democratic leadership. Most voters hate the insurance companies who control their health care costs. They know more than ever that health insurance businesses are in business to say "NO!" The future of health insurance is looking more and more like the future of tobacco products. Consumers are tired of the profit motive in health care. They are finally realizing the immorality of it all. It takes a rise in suicides to shine a light on this.

torogen got a reaction from Latbear4blk in Bogota Trip Journal 6-15 NovIndeed. On Scruff, there is a guy seeking "morbo sin sexo", so I do think some guys there use it to mean affection/cuddling. But the other meaning is more widely used, as a quick scan of any sex/dating app will show. Strange...now I'm wondering if any guys I chatted with were trying to tell me they only wanted affection! LOL

As a native speaker I know very well what morbo means. It means kinky and passionate, it could even mean "freak". I asked the question because I did not understand the use given in the quoted sentence: "We didn't have sex cuz he's only into morbo." To my Spanish, it does not make any sense.

torogen got a reaction from SteveMtl in Bogota Trip Journal 6-15 NovI did not see the price list. And I am referring to its usage in Colombia and my experience talking to guys in Bogota and in Medellin, or I would not have weighed in. In all cases, morbo was used to mean kinky, such as watersports. It would be strange indeed if it was commonly used both ways, but I guess not impossible. Thanks for providing a reference to evidence, as I agree with your interpretation of the price list--kink would indeed be expected to command a higher price.
Using Scruff to search locally in Bogota, I do find many guys who include morbo as a clear indicator of kink, including references to: bondage, watersports, domination and humiliation, blow-and-go, and even k9, complete with doggy emojis. But I also do find some that seem to be using it to mean affectionate. Confusing, and maybe can be chalked up to a high percentage of tourists/immigrants there, although one of the kinkiest guys identifies himself as native Bogotano. Maybe it's one of those things where you just have to pay attention to the context.

torogen reacted to axiom2001 in Dominican dicks in DecemberI do think that the originator of this site/forum preferred to have comments of a positive nature vs ones that disparage, insult, belittle, and add little to any discussion. Do I see some acute jealously and envy here?
I was taught many, many years ago to remain silent if I did not have anything positive to say about an innocent situation! I've adhered to this throughout my 70+ years and have been the better for it.

torogen reacted to SolaceSoul in For any of you who thought it might be a neat idea to visit a Brazilian prison...It was a topic here a few months ago. The trips were in the DR. Dominican prisons are no safer than Brazilian prisons, and are equally as corrupt and both are run by organized crime / gangs.

torogen reacted to Latindude in Costa Rica report from a past tripI really miss Costa Rica, I visited in 2016. In San Jose I stayed firstly at Trip San Jose Sabana, very good and confortable (it was a business trip, so I didn’t enjoyed much during first days), but then I moved to the 2 last nights (Free time) to a a cute old Hotel in Downtown where I was advised that the gay action take place, I didn’t visit any especial place but I had one of the best fucks of my life. I found a cute guy in Grindr who said that his mom was out for the night, so he had the opportunity to sleep out that night (he was 20 yo - but you may know Latin families can be very conservative and controlling) - I had some trouble with the hotel to let him get up to my room, it was really about an hour to be able to go up with him - the manager called the owner to get the approval (really, very awkward).
Finally when we were in the room, OMG that boy was very voracious, one of the best butts I have ever seen. It was an entire night of action. He had to run home at 7 am because his mom sent a message that she would return earlier LOL . I really regreat that I have not saved his number.

torogen got a reaction from brockmiller in Costa Rica report from a past tripI have not seen much info on Costa Rica here, so I wrote up a report about a trip I took several years ago.

Is the "light skinned one" the guy in the second photo you posted?
I ask because that photo shows a guy with sores all over his pubic area and partly on his penis.
Didn't you have fear that you might catch whatever caused those sores on that guy's privates and surrounding area?
You are braver than I, for sure.

torogen reacted to Marcorjbr in Client Murdered...?I am American living and working for over 25 years in Rio. I have frequented the sauna scene for years. Over the years I have had friends drugged ( boa noite cinderella), beat up, tied to beds, chained to toilets, robbed and several murdered. Brasil and especially Rio are extremely dangerous. The police are poorly trained and paid very little. A very small percentage of crimes are solved and most likely the crime will not even be investigated. The judicial system is slow and inefficient. The boys and all of us who live here know this as it is constantly repeated in the press, on the news and portrayed inthe local novelas....
In Rio, often, nobody is who they seems to be. The gringo tourists often behave badly, in ways they would nerver conduct themselves at home. Many falsely allude to wealth or the possibility of taking the boy away to Europe or America. The boys must register with copies of ID to the suana...... but mostly the boys give false names (nome de guerra), ages, home locations, to the clients......
I've seen many foreign clients try to negociate lower prices and even refuse to pay afterward... claiming the boy did not provide the agreed service.
Prostitution comes from lack of opportunity and poverty. That does not mean they are stupid or have no pride. Treat the boys with respect....
I recommend doing as the locals....
Never bring a stranger into your home or hotel room.
And if you do not speak portuguese and know Rio de Janeiro well.......NEVER EVER BRING A STRANGER INTO YOUR HOME OR HOTEL ROOM.
