This time I am opening a thread "only" two months before starting the trip. It is booked. I am flying American, the ticket was about U$S 800-900. I convinced two friends from Daddy's (one of them was my trip partner to CDMX last April) to join me. I thought, if had so much fun by myself, imagine if we are a group. They are planning hiking excursions I am not going to join. I am planning days in the beach and orgies. We will meet in the saunas I am sure. We rented a 4 BRs Airbnb about two blocks away from the place I rented in July, in Copacabana, close to Posto 5. It costed about U$S 100 each. The description for the place states that parties are allowed, so I am already having quite intense fantasies. If anyone is going to be around, it would be great to connect. I already have confirmed a full day hanging out with my favorite in the Milky Way, Italo Andrade. We are playing with the idea of having a scuba diving field trip together, it would be a first time experience for both of us. He is exploring his network looking for recommendations. I have been researching online, and all the opportunities I find are far from Copacabana. I did not find anything closer than Angra dos Reis. I do not want to spend 6 of the 12 hours of the trip sitting in the bus to the port and back to the airbnb. If anyone has any suggestions close to Copacabana, it will be highly appreciated. Otherwise, I guess we just spend the day in the beach. We are also in advanced negotiation to have a two hours orgy with Italo, Yuri, and Estevão, to fuck, take pictures and film for our fans pages. It is almost confirmed, we may have an extra addition, Victor. He is right now having a romance with Italo. I am very excited. November 6, 20196 yr Active Members during my previous visits to RJ, the airbnb coordinated an airport pickup at GIG with my then-travel partners.......this time, I'm on my own getting to my lodging after arrival..... what is the current wisdom on taxis, ubers, lyfts from GIG to Copacabana??......is there a reliable and trusty taxi stand outside (with, possibly, some check-in person to talk to first as at other international airports?) or should I fire up the uber/lyft app?......are there ride hawkers to avoid outside?........or what??.......thanks for your help!
November 6, 20196 yr Active Members There are flat-rate taxi kiosks, you can pay by credit. I have not taken a curbside metered radio taxi. I have done Über several times, obviously cheaper. The hitch is that at either of two terminals the pick-up point is Departures (elevator very close once you enter the public space at arrivals), HOWEVER, the driver sometimes screws up and goes to Arrivals level for you because (s)he may have not had a previous drop-off fare. The app may not arbitrarily choose a driver that ended up at Departures. You may need to communicate in PTG that you will go to them because it is often easier to hop on the elevator back to Arrivals than for them to endure the complexity of shifting levels by vehicle. Eeesh ... I know. You will need to specify your door letter Example porta D. I also tell them I am wearing whatever helps them recognize me eg white baseball cap. I usually arrive after midnight if not a domestic flight.
November 6, 20196 yr i have used uber exclusively the last 2 years in Brazil m(Rio/SP/Porto Alegre) love them!! When i left Lagoa in SP Monday evening the Bellman at Lagoa asked me if i would hire his friend rather then Uber i said no lo problem if he was close to the same price! He wasn’t! Uber was $68.R vs $120.R for Taxi!
