Kevin, now I understand what you are talking about. However, taking a boy to a white table cloth restaurant and going full date is on a mission with most of the boys I've been with. Though, many of them do speak some English and I speak tourist Spanish the experience would probably be wasted. Since I'm in a foreign country with a guy I just met and with whom I may have some translation errors communicating, I never get too carried away. I have taken boys on expensive dates and not yet broken $100. However, given that I know that the boy will not really appreciate it I always get a middling local wine for around $10 USD or less. The wine is the x factor here since you can spend as little as $10 USD on a middling but delicious South American brand or spend a lot more purely for personal enjoyment. The boys are usually so intimidated by the setting that spending more than $10 USD on a bottle would have been a waste in my opinion. Many white table cloth establishments have relatively expensive bottles to choose from so if that is the standard you are use to, I totally understand. I may need to up my boy game to your level Keven but, I am very satisfied with the young middle class boys I've been getting, the models can be so much drama

Tom, that place looks awesome! I've looked into it and the flights to the rest of Latin America are considerably less when the plane is originating from Southern Mexico. Combine the inexpensive flights with the liberal visa requirements and you will be running a literal Playboy Mansion in Mexico Godspeed with the negotiations! Bad, I concur. I've eaten at a lot of white table cloth establishments throughout Latin America. Sometimes the boy doesn't even feel comfortable in the establishment and I've never spent more than $70 USD on a dinner for 2. Now, it certainly is possible t spend more than $100 USD in certain high end establishments in Latin America. However, you would really have to go into the place with a mission in order to accomplish that. Perhaps I'm taking the wrong boys out but when I went to Loma Linda in CDMX my date was thoroughly intimidated by the place. I had to repeatedly tell him not to worry about the prices as we spent more for one meal than he makes in a week working his day job. I think that was the most expensive and one of the best meals I've had in Latin America. The service was impeccable! Think Houston's, but only 2/3 of the American price.

Bad, you are right I just came back from another trip to CDMX and have a lot of pleasant memories However, from my experience, great guys like him are not as plentiful as in the DR, Colombia or Brazil.

Anthony, Tomcal is basically a guru when it comes to getting gorgeous guys internationally. Whatever he says is basically the law On a more serious note, if you haven't traveled much outside the states and don't want to spend the $800+ a ticket to Rio usually costs, I think you can do very well in the DR. That was really my first experience in South America and since then I've never looked back! If you'e like me an early middle aged professional with a decent body who loves brown boys then you will definitely find a lot of action on the apps in the DR. I can almost guarantee that you will like it, I sure did and I took that trip with my ex! Because you are in decent shape and not too much of a daddy yet you will probably be able to get casual guys on the apps and the clubs who will accompany you for as little as a free meal and $20 USD. However, if you're looking for model quality guys be prepared to pay, not US rates but, definitely not a free dinner and a $20 gift. A lot of these guys want to hang out with an American to practice their English, escape their families for a while and just have great no strings sex. I'm for the dipping your toe in the DR approach. Tom on the other hand, may recommend a full body Brazilian Baptism as the only way to go!

Anthony, tom is 100% correct. Where you go depends on your budget and what type of guys you want and your own physical condition. If you are middle age, have kept in reasonable shape and not looking to mess with models almost anyplace will do as a lot of young guys will ask for little or no money just to accompany you and enjoy an all expenses paid vacation. However, If you've let yourself go a little in the pursuit of the American dream and are not comfortable with the apps you will probably need a more organized procurement system. Also, if you are interested in a particular body type and skin tone certain places are much better for you than others. The reason Brazil ranks so highly with so many guys is the large variety of guys available and the easily accessible procurement process. Brazil has a rainbow buffet of guys to choose from and most of the in an easily accessible system. The DR and Colombia have nothing close to the variety, quality and ease of accessibility all put together. Brazil is simply the over all winner in this contest. What type of experience are you looking for and how comfortable are you meeting guys online vs. in the flesh?

Tomcal, since my last visit to Mexico City I am actually intrigued by the real estate market in Mexico. I went to visit a friend who stayed in a fairly nice and modern apartment in a slightly rough neighborhood for 6000 pesos a month. I was shocked that he had such a nice place for what amounts to $300 USD a month. Now, I know that million dollar properties exist in Mexico but, for someone thinking about retirement in 10 -15 years I really don't want to take out a mortgage. Would you be willing to share the price range for acceptable housing in your area of Mexico?

I just realized that I didn't give any kind of report. I had a blast in Mexico City or CDMX. Yes, compared to Colombia the quantity of quality of the guys is not as great however, if you're into into brown boys you should be fine. I was able to find good guys to accompany me every day and never had an empty bed unless I wanted one. I relied solely on the apps and in one case direct cruising to get my guys. Just let put $$$ in your profile and your phone will literally light up. I was constantly getting offers for massages and in one case was even able to buy poppers from a guy advertising on Grindr. I was able to get an Uber from the airport to my Air B & B around 1500. I chose a small modern 2 bedroom place near the Insurgents Metro. The guy I met on Hornet was waiting for me outside as we had arranged with the poppers that I retested. Once I checked in with the security guard we went upstairs and immediately got to business. I had planned to have someone else over that night but, I was so satisfied that I allowed him to accompany me all evening and spend the night. He left after breakfast the next morning. I went out seeing museums by myself, I currently speak rudimentary Spanish so I'm not afraid to take the Metro by myself. If you are not comfortable taking public transportation both cabs and Uber are plentiful. I had another guy join me in Zona Rosa as I was finishing dinner at the Regios restaurant, he spent the night as well. The next day at lunch at a small taco stand I was cruised by a great guy with a fantastic ass. He hardly spoke any English but after a brief introduction he followed me to my apartment for what was probably the best sex I had during my stay. That night after a long day of seeing museums I had a guy come over for some quick fun, I didn't feel like company that night so I sent him home. The next day a college guy with serviceable English came over for fun and then accompanied my as I went to museums. We had lunch at Loma Linda and took an Uber back to the apartment. I sent him home so that my evening date could come over, that guy spent the night. I packed up and left the apartment around 1300 the next morning. This was a short trip to test the waters and my memory is a bit fuzzy however, CDMX certainly gets a passing grade as far as action in my book. I relied mostly on the apps and casual guys. I never gave the guy more that 500 pesos. There are model looking guys that were asking for 1500 pesos on Grindr but, I never took advantage as I had managed to line up enough serviceable casual guys to keep me very busy. Next time I go I will definitely try more night life. I hear that some of the bars can get really crazy! I have attached a sampling of what's available in CDMX, some I accompanied me and some are models who I passed on. CDMX is a huge city with a lot of things to keep any tourist busy!

I'll let you guys know when I go in July. The apps do seem promising though.

I plan on visiting San Juan this July for some sightseeing. The travel and lodging costs seem reasonable however since the economy is strongly tied to the US I'm a bit anxious to see how much the local prices are. I chose Puerto Rico over Peru for the time being because the air fare was significantly cheaper and the guys on Grindr appear to be attractive, eager and willing to play

Endless, I believe that most of us here can sympathize with your loss. As long as it's only money you can always earn it back, at least you still have your life. 95% of the guys I've met overseas have gone out of their way to please me and have given me very fond memories, 4% have tried to get what they could out of me and only 1% have really taken me for a ride. That's why this forum is here so that we can share foreign travel adventures, tips and advice. If this kid took your money and broke your heart I can say that you definitely have my sympathies. I plan on going back to Colombia for a few weeks in the coming months and will definitely keep my wits about me. Please travel safely and remember that most of the guys are not out to get you, screw with you yes.

snwbrdr015, thank you so much for the review! Where did you find the information on the cabinas? I have been searching google and the most I can find is are random vague postings. Is there any particular sight that lists and or ranks these illustrious establishments?

bobbalino, I agree with JAYBLK that the audio is a godsend. Messaging the guys with the translator is one thing pero, once they are in your room, your minimal Spanish and his minuscule English will fail. That is the point where the translator becomes essential if you want to continue carrying on a conversation with your date. I've used the offline version many times in Colombia whole at museums, tourist attractions and restaurants with my guys. The translator and the apps are actually what gives me the confidence to try and engage the guys, instead of just having some quick fun and sending them home. However, if you just want to dine and dash, it may prove helpful as well.

I appreciate you taking the time to share some of your knowledge with me. You are probably correct when it comes to the quality of boys available. Though Hornet and Man Hunt have a large number, not as many light my fire compared to my time in Medellin & Bogota. However, this is not a sexual get away, so I will make enjoy the boys that the great city can provide me; which should be more than ample for my 4-5 nights there. Your assistance is much appreciated. Does anyone have recent information regarding Mexico City? I will be traveling there for nearly a week there this October and staying near the Centro area. My investigations of Man Hunt and Hornet lead me to believe that the city has a lot of potential. I want to know, does anyone has any recent experience with regards to potential pricing, availability and safety?

Jayblk is correct, the models are supposedly prohibited from passing their private information in an open forum cahtroom. The best way around that is to take them private for a few minutes, after letting them know that you will be coming to their city and feeling them out as to whether they will be willing to "accompany you". You can also send them a private message and see what comes about. Not all the guys work "off site" but, enough of them do that you should be able to have an enjoyable time. Just keep in mind that the models will usually command a price premium to guys that you meet locally. Man Hunt, Grindr, Hornet and Jacked all worked well for me but, the app game can be a little time consuming.

I rented an place through AirBnB. The guy who rented it knew exactly what most guys were coming to Colombia for. The apartment was a walk up pero, it had a lot of visible security. Now gates and security cameras may not stop you from being robbed. However, by pointing out the security cameras to the boys and letting them know that they would not be able to easily exit the building without my assistance I had much greater peace of mind. I do second tassojunior's recommendation about utilizing a secondary location until you trust the boy. I had one guy come to my apartment, he was very tight but, had definitely had his hole used before. Apparently, most of the tourist prefer him to use them but, I made it perfectly clear what I wanted while messaging him. After play in the morning everything seemed cool, I had another boy spending the night and we were going to Penol and Gutape the next day. Out of the blue the boy from the prior morning messages me and wants to come over again. Now, this guy knows where I'm staying and I am not trying to have any drama with my current companion. I know he is bluffing since he can't get into my place but, I end up blocking him after repeatedly telling him that I don't want to meet this morning. I would have liked to meet up with him later but, his desperate behavior definitely gave me serious pause. I always carry a "dirty phone" so that I can get contact info from the guys I meet. If anything goes wrong the authorities should be able to trace the phone of the guy. Oh, make sure you have Whatsapp and Wi-Fi if you want to message these guys outside the dating apps. I found plenty of guys who were willing to play for 50.000 COP on the apps. Some guys will be bold and ask for 50 USD, laugh them off and counter with 50.000 COP. Work your way to 100.000 COP but no higher, unless you absolutely must have this guy. Always meet him outside the place you are residing and make sure that you feel comfortable having him in your room. If you have any doubt, give him 20.000 COP for his time and abort. You are in a foreign country and do not speak the language well, it is always better to be cautious and lose a hot guy than gamble and lose your phone or wallet. P.S. If you want to meet up with a Chatterbate or Flirt4Free model while in Colombia make sure that you have a good VPN installed on your laptop, Colombia is routinely blocked by the local guys. However, if you do happen to make contact the standard prices apply 50.000 - 100.000 COP. The local price is 35.000 COP pero, if you have a fantasy model he may not work outside the site or he may command a higher price. I gave my model 150.000 COP just because it was a one off fantasy. I could have gotten an equally attractive model for 100.000 COP all night. Start your bargaining price low, the average daily wage in Colombia is 10 USD so 50.000 COP is almost a day and a half of work. Just be smart and don't bite off more than you can chew;)

Unfortunately, I didn't get to experience Club Tobi. I concur with your pricing though, the locals only quote a high price if they know you are a foreigner and think they can get away with it. The going rates for locals is probably something like 35.000 COP. I wanted to maintain the generous American reputation without over inflating the prices so I usually gave between 50.000 - 100.000 COP to my guys. However, a lot of guys were willing to meet up for free on the apps. Just be nice and take them to dinner or let them relax in your place, practice their English and have a few drinks. I highly recommend that anyone with the means, and an adventurous spirit, go to Colombia. The market is not as developed as Brazil still, in my opinion the adventure is well worth the trip.
