@boiworship : Yes, 500 pesos seems to be the going rate that I get charged and you can usually bargain that into an all night stay if you hold out. Of course there are guys who will ask for more or offer less time but most will be happy with 500 MXN and a good evening. Getting through customs in Guadalajara (GDL) was a breeze compared to many other cities I've traveled to. I was out of the airport in less then 45 minutes. I love museums and food so I actually have a full itinerary of places I want to explore. My Spanish is currently in a very sorry state so though basic communication is possible I like to get a guy who can accompany me and translate. @DutchDork : Why are you using your iPhone for this? I always recommend using a VPN with a laptop in order to spoof the Colombian network. If you want to spoof your location using a mobile device look for a location altering app. I have an android and use the "Hola Fake Location" app to do recon before I travel. However, for the kind of experience M2 will want to have for his remaining 9 days in Medellin it can not be recommended. He booked and paid for 2 people. The hotel management, or a particular manager, decided that he wanted to charge M2 for guests after the fact. If my hotel originally said that if I pay for 2 people I could have as many guests over as I wanted then suddenly wanted to add a surcharge 3 days into my stay because they don't like the number of guests I'm bringing over, I would be upset as well.
