I do recall the sun beating down out in the open, though the cemetery offers considerable deciduous canopy shade. The cemetery is vast but I recall seeing only 2 other visitors during my hour there. The walking distance for underground transfer at Paulista-Consolação is isconsiderably extensive, as the Yellow and Green line access points are rather far apart and and do not share station designation.
