  1. My impression, others may have different experiences, is that the Rent.men escorts will insist on at least $100USD to start. Many will begin at $150 for a session. A number have regular clientele that keep their bank account full so they can afford to be picky. The OnlyFans scene also means many don’t have to do escorting anymore (looking at you Alejo Ospina). Because of the tourism boom, there are plenty of performers and circuit escorts that hit town, so check the ads when you arrive. There are several guys that do one week stints in Medelln before moving on.
  2. Okay in that case, getting a local +57 Colombian telephone number, you will need to go in person to Tigo, Claro or Movistar. You will require a passport to activate the plan. There are plenty of different plans to choose from.
  3. They don't, but to @floridarob point, all have protocols in place. Many will ask to see your room key when entering the lobby --no key, see ya! The larger hotels use cards to access the elevator which is easier to bypass. You likely will have better luck in Bogotá where the vigilance is slightly less. In Medellín, particularly in El Poblado and surrounding zonas (Manila, Castropol, Provenza, Las Lomas, etc) they are looking for any hint of sex tourism. So the first visit might be okay, the second and the third? The front desk staff will be in your business. Chisme is the national sport, it won't take long for the staff to all know what you are up to. As noted, they have seen it all, and just want to avoid any drama.
  4. The issue was privacy of sharing phone number, but yes, WhatsApp is imperative in Colombia and almost all of Latin America. Most contacts — from pharmacy to Scorts — takes place on WhatsApp. fwiw
  5. Thanks @Chucky agreed. @Canadianbtmguy if you prefer, send me a DM and. I can connect you with some alternative options. You didn’t note your working level of Spanish. Do know that is a real differentiator in Medellín. Despite a growing foreign tourism boom, they are just catching up with demand for English language services. If you are comfortable with Spanish, I can make some introductions. Your move.
  6. This ^^ is absolutely true. On the weekends you will get a smorgasbord of stunning listings that will be "new" to you. At least 30% of these are escorts. This is not a bad option when you are there.
  7. @Chucky is locally based in Medellín and offers sound advice and insights. As I have posted here in the past, the scene in Medellín is a tougher nut to crack for the first timer. From the trip duration and expectations you described, I am going to suggest you organize a couple of encounters with Rent.men rather than chase down the local happenings. Once you are in contact, ask those guys if they can recommend other scorts with your desired attributes. Most of those escorts have connections with the guys they do threesomes (and more-somes) with, and will have short list of recommended providers. Since the Mileroticos listing left you cold, I would also suggest checking back. Many of the scorts on offer travel around Colombian cities, or even do the circuit of Mexico-Panama-Colombia. So new listings are frequent, plus the Mileroticos algo is weird, does not always show the newest listings. Try searching the city listing using heights, starting with your minimum of 180cm. Good luck.
  8. Going to suggest pre-purchasing an eSIM online. Only because the process in Colombia is overly complicated and involves much waiting around for your turn. https://esim.holafly.com/esim-colombia Alternately, if you would prefer to deal with someone face-to-face, there are dozens of eSIM sellers advertised all along Calle 10 in El Poblado, Medellín. They are very likely to be able to offer service in English as well. Expect to pay gringo pricing. For comparison, I currently pay 54000COP for unlimited data and North American calling (Movistar). Your eSIM for one month should be right around half that amount -- 24000 - 28000 COP. Enjoy you trip -- and please keep sharing any restaurant reviews.
  9. @Canadianbtmguy Haven't used them recently but they are still in service. I suspect that they have moved locations again, but that is just a guess. Reach out to them on Telegram and I am certain they will respond with the current catalogue available. The website has not been updated in years.
  10. @Latbear4blk thanks for this note. Just glanced at Insta tonight and forgot — you will be in Medallo for la Alborada, the official start to the holiday season on the evening of November 30. The skies will ight up with fireworks, the miradores will be packed with crowds, and everyone will be outside with the music turned up to watch the show. The party goes late so get your disco nap in that day.
  11. Hey, just say this post for the first time now. May I suggest searching the Colombia form for "Bogota" https://www.gayguides.com/forum/101-gay-colombia/ You have already found the business listings, but plenty of members have shared their Bogotá experiences, far beyond the mandatory night out at Theatrón. Happy hunting.
  12. Just updating this with latest convo with @Latbear4blk. He noted that there is now security stationed outside the entrance door, which is new to me (did not drop by on my August trip). Also the meetings at all arranged in advance again, don't both dropping by as there will almost certainly be no working boys hanging around. The brothel era ended as abruptly as it re-started. As noted in his post here the Sunday brunches I heard about at the start of the year are also not happening. So you can organize a "date" to take place here, or wait for one of the finca weekends Fercho still organizes. I have few ideas why this changed, but as @neyger noted in his post here the plaza's seem increasingly interested in any independent businesses. Will be curious to hear thoughts from paisa friends how things are shaping up for 2026.
  13. The only drama that interests me in Colombia is my daily intake of telenovelas. But will be in town from January to end of March, exploring options now for la Semana Santa.
  14. I agree with the poster's question "este sitio ya lleva 29 años?". Bueno, hay que aprovechar. Have a good time!
  15. While the back end story is different this time, it sounds like this one has already reached its logical conclusion. Most of that sounds very familiar to me, so you prolly dodged a bullet, although if he sticks to his standard plan, you are about to get thousands of text messages until you hit the block button. Not knowing El Poblado does not really surprise me, the Miguel I met preferred Provenza (shocking, I know) and was much more comfortable closer to home in Manrique where he lives. If the same guy, you know that he is 100% paisa certified so using cariño, corazón, querido, mi rey, or mor really isn't that unusual, even with someone he has just met. Flirting is the sport of choice in Medellín, so I would not read too much into it.
  16. Even if you don't want a full steak dinner, they have an excellent selection of Argentinian wines, beyond the usual labels of Malbecs. I will stop in for wine and tapas on the patio, it is on the busiest pedestrian street in Manila so excellent people watching.
  17. Excellent suggestions. There is an Argentinian steak house in Manila named Malevo (Cra. 43E #11A - 20) that is really good, although the prices keep rising. You will hear the accent of the waiters - the owner is from Argentina and most of the staff are friends and family who come to work and get to know Medellín. And there is a couple of ex-New Yorkers that have opened Otro Bagel (Cra. 43F #12-27) that serves decent NY-style bagels with all the schmear (cream cheese), lox and capers you can manage.
  18. Responded.
  19. A quick scan and nope, not a one. I recognize a couple from Grindr since I stay in Belén where they are located. But I have zero notes here. But seeing "pasarla una chimba" sure takes me back to Medellîn.
  20. You will greatly enjoy the newest waiter at Donde Aquellos with the curly hair and the phattest ass you will lay eyes on this year. Also if your new friend is named Miguel Angel, my recommendation is to stay away. He has a tattoo where his hand is in that photo. Just my two cents.
  21. ¡Chanclas fuera de la casa! It really is the absolute worst and culturally offensive, the footwear version of wearing your dressing robe to the corner store.
  22. Mathias is part of the elite circuit in Medallo, works as a trainer at the Bodytech on Avenida Colombia, also has a smoking hot boyfriend. He preys on foreigners who don't know better that those prices are insane.
  23. Update: The club has done a mini-renovation, updating some of the installations and adding a stage area outdoors. The have also begun bringing in hosts ("anfitriones") on weekends to keep the party and the sex going.
  24. Buen viaje parcero. Will ask around what is currently happening. The famous alumbrados which are very nearby to your location should light up the week of Noche de la velitas, the theme this year is natural wonders of Colombia, no idea if that includes neas or guapitos. Que la pases súper!
  25. As my Colombian brothers snd sisters would say “marica yaaaa” 🤣
