I have seen a couple of mentions in posts in other forums, about access to Grindr being blocked in Malaysia, but some comments appeared to cast doubt on that. Does anyone have definite knowledge about whether there has been some change in the past year to prevent access to Grindr? I was in Kuala Lumpur in November 2025 and had no problem accessing Grindr then. I am thinking of visiting again next year, and this would be an important consideration, because without Grindr I am not sure how it would be possible to make any contacts.

I have been there two or three times on visits to Cali over the past couple of years, and enjoyed it, especially the ‘groping wall’ you mention, which I have now experienced from both sides. I mostly visited in the early-mid evening, including once on a Saturday, but it was never hugely crowded, and sadly I was never approached by any escorts, though I would have been open to it. I must have been unlucky with timing of my visits.

To round off, having started this post: when I arrived at El Dorado from Europe earlier this month and got to immigration I discovered there is a lane for ‘Preferencias’ and that being over 70 I was eligible to use it. In point of fact nobody checked this before I got to the passport check desk itself. It saved me about 30 minutes and cost nothing, so I was pleased I didn’t waste money on a commercial service. There is a similar lane when departing from El Dorado. Hope this is a helpful tip for other elderly forum members.

I was wondering if any forum members have had any experience, or even anecdotal reports, about fast-track immigration services at aeropuerto El Dorado in Bogotá. I used such a service in Ho Chi Minh City on arrival there last November, and it worked very well. But it seemed to me to be a more well-established feature there – I had seen numerous Tik-Tok clips about it. I have never seen any for El Dorado, though there are many about long immigration lines there. Admittedly I have never had to wait more than about 30 minutes there on my 4-5 previous visits, but my last time was a year ago. I have found one or to concierge type services advertised through a Google search, but some are prohibitively expensive (around $230) and include other luggage and car transfer elements, that I do not need. I have found one called ‘FastLine VIP Airport Services’ which has a much cheaper introductory offer for just $15. But basically, none of these services seem to be specific to El Dorado and I have my doubts about whether immigration there even has a fast track at all. I have never noticed one on previous visit. Any comments welcome.

I use an AirBnB very near that NH Cali hotel , and have often thought about staying there, if there were ever any problem with the apartment. I would also thoroughly endorse your recommendation to do the tour of the comuna Siloe. It was very rewarding, and we also went on the hair-raising jeep ride, as the cable car was out of service. My tour guide from Siamroads took me there at the end of our day and evening touring. He seemed friendly with some of the staff there. What I saw bears out what Moses has said. Some of the Muscle Boys that danced with the drag artists were very hot. And the bar staff were very cute too!

Its my first visit to S E Asia, so perhaps I should not really judge, but having been to Colombia 7-8 times in the past 6 years I totally get what you say about the 'sexo morbo' there. And being able to converse a little in basic Spanish does make a difference Mind you, one or two guys I have met here have come close, but these were contacted via Grindr, not at the bars or massage shops.

I am mid way through my first visit to S E Asia, taking in Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand. A two-part report on my adventures in Ho Chi Minh City is in the Vietnam forum. I have just spent 4 enjoyable days in Kuala Lumpur. I have always wanted to see this city, but knowing that it is a Muslim country where examining our stamp collections is illegal, I did not have any great expectations about that aspect of my visit. Researches implied that using Grindr was what most like-minded travellers found effective, but some reports warned that caution was needed, so initially I decided to use the days here to recuperate. Moving round the city I found the ethnic diversity of Malays, Chinese and South Asian most diverting in terms of eye candy. Nevertheless I did login to Grinder to see what going on. My hotel was next to a district called Brickfields, which is a south Asian quarter, and it was great walking around admiring the young population. Of course we have many South Asians living in London, but they somehow seem unobtainable, being pretty rare on the escort scene. So anyway, on my final full day I decided to give Grindr a try. My hotel had a huge multi-level atrium/lobby area, with a separate entrance from a walk-way to a shopping mall nowhere near the reception. So I knew there would be no difficulty bringing in a visitor. And it seemed the stars had aligned for me. I had seen a good looking 19 year old South Asian guy on the app who was nearby, so I messaged on the off-chance asking if he would be interested in meeting a visiting tourist, and to my delight he replied immediately saying 'I'm a MB dear'. It was about 4:30pm and he said he had to start work as a security guard at 6:30, so there was just time for a visit. I asked how much for 1 hour and he replied 'cost not for time, but whether I fuck you 1 or 2 times' (!). Anyway, I offered him 300 Ringit (about $70) and that did the trick. I have no idea whether that is the going rate, stingy or over generous, but I didn't care. We met in the Mall, He was a lovely guy, from Pakistan, with dark hairy legs which turns me on. We were soon kissing and embraceing, and after some energetic thrusting he came over my crotch and I sucked him clean. He left in good time for his day (evening) job I am pleased I overcame my apprehensions , and I would happily return to KL, but it may be that I just stuck particularly lucky this time and it wouldn't be repeatable.

Yes, Minh was versatile and seemed to enjoy getting fucked. He was not hugely endowed so getting fucked by him was delightful and comfortable. I can't say whether any of the other guys that topped me might have also been willing to bottom, as I didn't ask.
