First of all - plenty of unpaid sex, barely used the pay guys. If you need bottoms - go on Tinder. There are thousands of them, all interested in unpaid stuff. If you need tops - just be ready to use Grindr instead. 
I had amazing experience and yet every single guy I met from Grindr warned me against using Grindr saying it's unsafe. I get that, use your senses, I've seen lots of fake pics and weird guys in there. 
Been offered to join a "secret " group on Telegram for married guys meeting only foreigners. Thought was a scam- no, all real. Had 2 great tops from there so far. Good dicks, middle class kinda guys. Had to explain prep +doxy and they agreed to no condoms. 
My major problem with the unpaid guys is that even if they liked you and you liked them - it's unlikely you're going to meet again. My first week was in Punta Cana which is quite deserted - everyone is spread along the coast so not many ppl actually around to meet. This didn't stop me from meeting unpaid locals - the guys here are just so my type, tall, masculine! I had a few unpaid guys from tinder/Grindr and one paid who asked for 20$. Still felt quite slow in terms of pace, it's not as chaotic as SD.  
 
Now I'm in SD, Im in a quiet area for now, Mirador Sur. Lots of unpaid locals here looking to fuck, again different types and sizes available. So Mirador Sur is a cruising spot during the day for sure, but according to locals - all action starts after dark there. I personally wouldn't risk it though. The left side(look at the map) faces more rough parts- definitely to be hunted during the day, but I wouldn't go there at night, hell no. The rest of the park feels pretty chilled and safe, it's a good location just for a casual walk as well. Many of these guys would be on Grindr, you can just walk or sit there, be available and see if anyone is going to approach, text on Grindr etc. 
Great shout about ubereats- it bloody works! Tried PedidosYa which is like the main app here and none of my credit cards work for payments, only cash. However Uber and Uber eats work perfectly. Happy to confirm Uber here is safe and very cheap. 

I was staying in Airbnb in both PC and SD. No problem getting guys in, I asked Airbnb host before booking if guests are okay.

This is probably late. But, I use Ubereats all the time in SDQ and any supermarket like Nacional has ATMs that are very safe. Yes there are plenty of pharmacies 

Finally heading to DR 🥳 Just wanted to check a couple of things. Do I need to be careful where to withdraw cash from ATMs, any supermarket or only specific "safe places"? Also, anyone knows apps or services for food and medicine delivery? I'd need to buy doxy, presume I can do it any pharmacy? Ideally I'd want to use the delivery to order online so If you know any good apps/services like Rappi in Colombia- please shout:) Thanks!

My last trip was my first post-vaccine, so I think that would be early 2021 so it could be some of my experiences are out-of-date. I stayed in a Hotel Colonia Casa Conde or something to that effect hotel on the first block of the Conde, main street of the Colonial Zone; cheap and cheerful. The neighborhood seems to deteriorate quite quickly heading uphill (north) so that many posters advise an Uber for the 3 blocks to Juan Binbin's (house of boys). I walked but the last block did feel a bit unsafe. Not sure if things go downhill so quickly to the west. I wasn't really that into Manny's guys (yes, they have enormous dicks, but typically lacklustrer body and face, in my opinion; of course now, 4+years later, I imagine he has a whole new stable.) As a result, I was Grinding (granted at about 20 pounds less than today!) and I met quite a few handsome Dominicans who were looking for fun, not money (although there are plenty of the latter too). It may have changed but I would say not to shy away from Grindr. I did meet one paid guy from Grindr: I spoke to a prepago, who contacted me various times but I was not interested until he said that I might be interested in his friend, who was almost too good to be true. But I met them outside the hotel, he was for real, and it was a really great and memorable experience. (I had him stay over on my last night, which sadly was a bore.) 1. I had a lot of success in meeting unpaid locals in Colombia(80% of my meets probably) and just top it up with the paid guys. From reading the forum I rarely see anyone mentioning unpaid meets in DR, is that just not realistic? I'm going to use Manny for some guys but won't be able to afford it every day:) Any feedback on this front? I'm not a sauna/cruise kinda person so would rely on online connections. Anyone used Tinder there? 
2. I used cheap local restaurants for the menu el dia in Colombia, is there anything like that in SD? Or maybe an inexpensive restaurant chain you could recommend? 
3. Where would you recommend going for the weekend beach trips from SD? Read that Boca Chica isn't great, anymore options nearby? Would be a shame not to use the opportunity to visit the beach during the peak season...
4. I'm staying not far from Zona Colonial, but still a bit outside- a couple of places on the left side of it, Google shows 10-20 min ride away from zona colonial (Bella vista and around it basically). I just really want some quiet walkable places to stay in and would rather avoid the touristy centre, also it is cheaper for the long term stay.  Anyone stayed that side of the city, any issues about the guys not coming because of the location being outside Zona Colonial I should consider? 
5. Hows the overall speed of WiFi on the island? I had no issues in Colombia but noticed none of Airbnbs kinda mention the speed which is sus. I need to video call remotely for work so wonder if that would be an issue... Presume there is no issue to buy a local SIM with internet for the foreigner in case I need it?
 
Also If anyone is around at that time and wants to hang out or share the guys - let me know. Also, if anyone got safe contacts to share for the local tops - please DM.
