Don’t worry about the TM-30. When you stay in a hotel they have to file it. When you stay in apartment the landlord has to file it. I have an apartment in Jomtien under a 6 month lease. My landlord filed the initial TM-30, however they charge a few to do additional filings. Last week I travelled to Vietnam and then back to Thailand. The landlord gave me a the documents I needed from him and I went to immigration myself and filed a new TM-30. A little confusing since the first time I did it but the people there were really helpful. If I leave and come back again the filing will be easy. My apartment has good security and there are people coming and going all the time. Some people have regular boyfriends, others are boys from the complex. Either way, there is never a problem.

If you are in M-Bar in the Complex (or other bar that has a show) there is a pretty good chance you will be part of someone’s video. It won’t be the boys at M-Bar filming since the owner makes them lock up their phones before the show starts at 10pm (which I think is a great policy). I’ve seen many people making videos of the show and because the bar is narrow, with the stage at the far end, there’s a good chance you will be in one of those videos if your sitting in the area closer to the stage. In Bangkok you see ❌🎥 signs at a lot of bars but in Jomtien I have never seen a similar sign.

I walked by today and here’s a quick update. They were working on the bar with the question mark and I saw the owner of M-Bar there so it looks like he could be adding it to his existing portfolio on M-Bar and Sunee Bar. I should have taken a photo when I went by the first time and the door was open. The Dragon Music Lounge will be reopening soon under new ownership. A guy at Sunbar told me it’s going to be called PP Bar. Fun Bar is undergoing major renovations. I’m not sure if the name will change.

Interesting that I would come across this topic today. My subscription to Express VPN expired and I’m hesitant to renew it after finding out it’s owned by an Israli billionaire. On the other hand it has worked well when I’m in Asia. Does anybody have experience with other VPN’s ? Thanks for posting this. I always thought that the hotel was paid at the same time I paid for a booking. Makes me wonder how much cash flow booking.com generates by deferring payments.
