✓Tawan – Still Finding Its Footing
As much as it pains me, Tawan was a lowlight this time around. There are glimmers of the old charm I loved, but they seem to be struggling post-closure. Fingers crossed this is just a transitional phase!

This is my third trip report, and I’m noticing a lot of my experiences while personally satisfying, are becoming routinary. In some of my visits at Arena, SSENSE, Dreamboys—there’s nothing particularly new to report, so I’ve omitted some details.

I contacted them one Friday evening but they were fully booked. They said come tomorrow before 2 pm and you can choose your masseur.
Arrived next day around 2 pm (grab moto) and at the entrance was presented ipad pics of 3 guys. I liked 2 (one muscular and one model type). I went for the muscular type; I saw the model guy as well, equally good.
Clothes stay in the lockers situated on the ground gloor (there is also a sauna service). I was givven 10 minutes to clean myself in the public showers and then my masseur appeared - as cute as in ipad.
The massage rooms are on the 3rd floor, sauna 4th floor so be prepared for stairs. 
 
The spa itself is very clean and beautiful. Massage room is private - a mat on the floor and aircon. I had 60 min massage plus 45 min salt rub. The guy was doing nice job with surprisingly progressive moves which aroused me of course. The massage was really thorough and no time cutting. Anyhow..at some point without any questions asked 69 procedure was in progress! He initiated this, I was not quite sure what is allowed in that spa, and was rather passive. So that went very well. The massage and extras were followed with the salt rub process in an other room (i would skip next time, kind of upsell thing) and after 45 minutes the guy said thank you sir and dissapeared.
I went upstairs to a small sauna and pool, but nothing interesting there. Then went to the locker room where very interesting muscle guy was undressing.

However I was completely satisfied and went to checkout. I was presented with the tip card. The choice was I think 50-250 th and then „other“. I chose „other“ and wrote tip of 500 th. I paid my bill in cash.
All in all, my massage visit cost was about 50 eur, which included 20% tet holiday  surcharge for the massage base price.
Would go again, beautiful place, good massage activities with nice guys.

On my last couple of holidays I stayed at the Zing next door to MBar, and ended up there most nights, but I would go to the Midnight show at 12, usually that little bit more raunchy, fuelled by several hours of boy drinks.
Many customers leave at the end of the show, but some of us hang around, buying even more boy drinks. The remaining boys, anxious for late offs or extra tips, can become MUCH more friendly; open trouser belts, maybe zips down, and sometimes hands-on (yours and/or theirs) on those sofas at the end of the bar close to the now empty stage. 100 baht tips, 200 baht tips and 300 baht tips depending on developing activities.
The Midnight show usually finishes by 1am, but it has often been 2 or 3am before my long-time companion and I have finally tipped out and stagger back to my hotel room next door. On such nights MBar seems only to close when the remaining customers stop spending! 🤣 When the last few deviants, such as myself, have stopped molesting the boys left the inside of the bar, Madam M is still usually sitting outside with other boys and the last few customers in the big setaed area at the front of the bar. 
Hopefully I shall be back again in September; can't wait! 🥰

I visited Paradise Massage recently and wanted to share my experience, since we don’t see all that many massage shop reviews from Pattaya.
The shop appears to be one of the few remaining gay massage places in Boyztown, and the facilities are nicer than many others I’ve seen in Pattaya. When I visited, there were around 12 boys on duty. I’m quite introverted, so simply stepping inside takes effort for me. I had hoped to chat briefly and get a sense of individual personalities, but the boys mostly stayed seated and let the manager handle the interaction.
The manager was pleasant and explained the pricing.
    •    Massage: ฿700 for 1-hour oil massage, pricey for Pattaya but worth it to me for en suite shower.
    •    Tip for boy: Starting at ฿600 for kissing / general above-the-waist contact and hand job, as I was told by the manager. This was described as standard / expected. My immediate thought was, great the guys are instructed to kiss!  
Of the available boys, there was only one I was drawn to — slim, very cute,  and as I would learn later, completely hairless. Thai. He’d been averting his gaze most of the time, certainly not beaming at me, as one would hope. But as he was the only candidate I was interested in, I chose to disregard that omen.
The shop is very nicely decorated. The room was small but clean and also nicely decorated, with an en-suite shower and a proper massage table. A little worn, but still nicer than average for Pattaya.
I showered alone as he disappeared to do the same, I suspect.  
The session itself was more rubbing than massage, which I expect in this type of shop. I liked that he placed his cock and balls on the soles of my feet during most of the leg rub and later placed them on my ass during back rub. Things shifted after the flip. I learned he did not kiss, nor did he want his face or hair touched (likely due to styling/makeup). When the boy won't kiss, my fallback is to kiss his face and neck a bit. This was barely tolerated. The atmosphere was flat, and there wasn’t much to do about it. I’d smiled at him several times to try to break the ice and make him feel more comfortable. He’d smile back, sort of.

After shower I gave him double the stated minimum tip for soft and quietly, smilingly paid my bill to the reception desk and left. The boss sitting outside was clearly livid and glaring at the boy when he saw me leave early. Wondering WTF the boy might have done wrong, I think. There was nothing wrong with his service; we just didn’t connect. 
Overall Impression
    •    Facilities: Very good for Pattaya.
    •    Boy selection: Appeared limited for my taste at that time of day, but this can vary.
    •    Staff / manager: Polite and straightforward.
    •    Session: No issue technically — just no chemistry.
Do I recommend it? Yes. The place is well-run and the facilities are some of the nicest in Pattaya. I might return in a month or two and try another time slot.
