Tom Driberg mainly focuses on his gay life in his book. Many entertaining exploits in London, finding sex during WW2 blackouts. 😜 Joe Orton's "Welthorpe" letters are quite valuable now, as are the library books he defaced. He served 6 months in prison for vandalising books - UK justice was tough back then.

A fair summary, though I wouldn't say Mary Whitehouse is forgotten. There have been 2 excellent series about her: the 2022, "Banned! The Mary Whitehouse Story" and the 2008 drama "Filth: The Mary Whitehouse Story". By the way, Tom Driberg was also a Russian spy. His autobiography: 'Ruling Passions" is well worth a read. It leaves nothing to the imagination.
