I doubt it was the hotel thing; otherwise they probably wouldn't have came to begin with. More likely they don't want to do it infront of the other guy. You probably could have had the other guy if you got him solo but they're always kinda random in my experience.

Mine were toned and were fine to talk to also - in my experience, the local guys usually have decent bodies until they hit 30. I do like a bit of rough too but they all seem to smoke and haggle alot 🤣

Grindr is full of these in most places I've visited. However, I met a two local doctors via Grindr - one in Algiers & one in Tunis. I also met a PhD student whilst in Sousse all via the app. Most were fakes or scammers though.

Sorry to hear about his passing. Safety is always an issue if hiring an apartment/airbnb in these locations rather than a hotel. I had a non-safety issue in Morocco when I hired an airbnb off-season. A local taxi driver decided that he wanted to become my personal chauffeur for my visit. He was probably available too. Maybe mid-twenties but very skinny and like lots of locals smoked etc so wasn't aging well. He would try to pick me up several times a day, was regularly parked at the exit from the street whenever I came out on foot, offered to get me hashish, a wife, hookers etc. He was annoying but harmless. I can imagine not all locals are and might be problematic without the barrier of a hotel location.

Yes, he could actually be into bottoming. I find the local guys very fickle generally.

My sis in law went to Marrakech recently for a girls weekend away and they hired a whole Riad. She did say there was a local person - cleaner, cook or maintaince guy there most of the time if they had any issues.

He's probably into the ladies but willing to meet you just for the direct and indirect rewards. Plenty more circumcised fish in the sea.

I'm sure it's easy to blame the English but other former European colonies had similar restrictions. These type of laws are rarely enforced as they require actual proof along with the police/judiciary being simply not interested. Many of these former colonies either left old laws in place (they could easily repeal) or simply use vague public order laws to the same effect.

I agree - go just after if you can. I've been to Morocco during Ramadan (by accident as I didn't check) and there was enough action / offers but less than normal. If the locals have been fasting then I'd expect lower performance too but they can 'legitimately' do stuff after dark or if they're 'ill' during the day.

I don't totally disagree with you. It's North Africa - you always need to be selective, be aware of your surroundings and use your gut. The first guy I met was fairly straightforward but the second guy repeatedly asked for a tip upfront which I declined.

They'll literally start chatting to you on the street - offer to be your guide to the local Souq, offer you cigarettes or other stuff If they're your type then play along and when alone make it fairly clear what you're looking for.

There are local guys just hanging out (I'm into 20s / early 30s but there were others) and walking around. The ones that approached me were usually looking to be a guide (so they get a cut of anything you buy) If you like the look of them, play along and they'll usually offer you themselves. One took me to his apartment after checking his wife was at work and sneaking me in the side entrance. It was about an hour all in. Good looking, average sized but a very pleasant experience. Another one I took up, still stayed with his family so he arranged short term accommodation (that i paid for) and I asked I pick up some local beer too. We spent a few hours in apartment together. He was fairly rough but extremely girthy and did whatever I wanted.

I'm recently back from Tunisia and It the action was definitely more limited simply by the hotel design this time. As others have said - there are cameras everywhere - so the staff need a legitimate reason to be in the room or it happens somewhere off camera. I always tip for good service anyway and that generally helps with small talk that leads to other more options. In terms of Sousse itself, I had various options from from guys in the street, shop sellers to taxi drivers. So either there and then or they'd offer you their WhatsApp or Social media. Seemed to make zero difference if they were married or not.
