  1. See above comment from bkkguy.
  2. I have made tags closed for now. I'll open back up if the membership requests. However, feel free to add any tag names here that you wish to be added in the admin and I can add them.
  3. Devilish Eats is now my favorite restaurant in Thailand. Their food is amazing and the service is excellent. I found them on Food Panda and ordered from them 40 times before trekking to the restaurant. The restaurant is beautiful and comfortable. For Thanksgiving, they cooked an entire turkey for our group and all the fixings included. For Christmas, the owner decorated up the way my southern aunts decorate and even the utensils had a stocking holder. However, it is not just the attention to detail that makes me like the place. The food is absolutely delightful. I love every part of the menu but my favorite is their gourmet burger. It has a homemade cranberry chutney cheese. The pizzas are also amazing. When going with a group, we get the Pigout Feast and it comes with a bit of everything and we had 8 there for it last week and it was perfect (we did add deserts at the end which were extra). As I said, if you love good food, give this place a try! 5/5 stars Not pricey and not cheap. See the menu on their website. https://www.iamdevilish.com
  4. If you like good food and a good selection of Western project, Villa Market is great. I love their delivery service. I use the service weekly and have for years. Never had an issue other than a few items being out and they call to ask about a replacement. https://www.honestbee.co.th/
  5. I sent you an email. You have 2 emails in the system. One for the front end and one for the forums. They are conflicted (sick like the flu). A shot is needed. By that, I mean we need to combine them. Please see my email and advise. Thanks for your patience.
  6. Yes, admin can add any tag if it is a closed system. So, in a thread like this, if someone requests a tag, we can add it. This limits the useless tags. But, I want this to be a community decision as you guys will be the ones using the tags. I'll accommodate what is requested.
  7. In another thread, it was suggested we use tags to highlight specific posts to make them easily searchable. We have two options: Open - means users can create any tag name Closed - admin sets the tags and members can select them Ex: Pattaya, restaurants, trip reports - all three could be tags and admin can add and update any time. Open leaves more user options but may be harder to find things if someone uses tag Pattaya Fun as opposed to just Pattaya. Thoughts?
  8. The system converted over the best possible. Some things were off as the old forum was multiple updates behind. We will try to get the photos to logged in members only. Can you show me an example of how full name? I agree that searching is often not easy. Tags are the best way to do this. When people start using tags, it becomes easier. You can click a button in the editing menu bar that removes all and makes it plain text. Or, just post it and ask me to fix it and I will. We are not making major changes anywhere yet. (well, except what has been done). But, there are added features, like Clubs, etc. We have not talked about them but people will start to play and find them. Not sure this is an option in the new code but I can check. I do see the bolded for new but like you can't see the individual posts.
  9. Life is often funny in how it throws curve balls at you. I have not owned or ran this site in many years. However, I have remained friends with the owners the entire time. The site has switched owners a few times over the years and I have always tried to stay active in the forum and help moderate the site when I could. Recently, the owner approached me and said that his time with the site was over and he was ready to move on. He was not sure what he was going to do with the site and asked for ideas. I did not want the content here to die so I told him I would take the content and incorporate it into a new site. This allows him to sell the domain name gaythailand.com (soon on Sedo.com). In the meantime, the domain name will point to this site and all content will remain on this site indefinitely. I got out of the business years back so some changes must be made on this site. All xxx photos are being removed. Also, many profiles, photos, videos, etc. are outdated and old. We will try to get people to log back into the site and update profiles but anyone who doesn't do this in 90 days will be deleted. We ask that people who have not logged into the site for 2 years will be removed as well. This keeps people on the site who are actually interested in participating and frees up the screen names of those uninterested or no desire to participate. This move was made because I love this site and each of you has worked hard over the years to create wonderful content that helps people when they visit Thailand. I hope the next phase of this site iteration is a smooth transition. And, I can assure you that the site content will never be lost to the world as I place great pride in being the guardian of the site. I will have a few moderators to help out as I can't do this alone. More detail on that in the coming weeks. I can tell you that I have a different requirement for moderators. They are more hands-off until they are needed. Think Patrick Swayze in Roadhouse. I do not want a free for all and I do not want an iron fist. I want something in the middle. I also do not want BS posts from fake accounts. Once banned, always banned. That said, I'll review the banned members and may give a second chance to some with a close eye. Anyway, thank you for listening. Looking forward to suggestions on the site as it comes into full swing. I have only had a few weeks to pull off an updated code, so please be a bit patient if you see some glitches or issues. There may be issues with the forum or the front end or logging in. But, rest assured, we will try to solve any issues. You can also email me at gaythailand@gmail.com if you are unable to log into the site and have tried the forgot password function (I just tested it and it worked for me). Regards, Michael aka GayThailand
  10. We have a few changes coming to GayThailand this week. Updated code, forums, etc. I know people hate change, but this needs to be done to secure the code for the future. We may be down for 24 hours. Just a heads up.
  11. It moves the steps toward equality one more step in Thailand. https://www.bangkokpost.com/news/general/1600614/cabinet-endorses-civil-partnership-bill
  12. At the 12 month anniversary of my surgery, I have lost 175 pounds. I feel healthier than ever and now have more energy and power. I took a trip to the ancient city last week and felt it was the best I have made ever. Spending time with family at Xmas I have also found that I have more energy and can do more with them. The one-year milestone was a big one for me. I hope I can continue to sustain this for another few years.
  13. One of my favorite things to do at Xmas is to eat oatmeal. I think because my mom made it when we were kids the week we were out of Xmas. I have now made this each week for 3 weeks and it is delightful. Give it a try if you like oatmeal and like slow cooking and waking up to a wonderful smell of cinnamon in the morning. Ingredients cooking spray, butter or coconut oil 1 cup steel cut oats 2 cups water 2 cups Almond Breeze unsweetened vanilla almond milk* 1 cup chopped apple pieces 1 Tablespoon maple syrup + 5 drops of liquid stevia (or another sweetener of choice) 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon salt toppings: chopped nuts, nut butter, extra maple syrup, coconut sugar Instructions For the slow cooker: Coat slow cooker with cooking spray, butter or coconut oil. Add all the ingredients besides the toppings into slow cooker and mix well. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Place in a bowl to serve and sprinkle on toppings of choice. For the Instant Pot: Add all ingredients except almond milk and toppings into your Instant Pot. Cover with the lid and turn the vent to “sealing.” Press the manual button and set time to 4 minutes on high pressure. The Instant Pot will automatically start. Once done cooking, allow the pressure to naturally release. Once all the pressure has released carefully remove the lid and stir the oatmeal and serve. For leftovers: Let the oatmeal cool and place in a sealed container in the fridge for up to a week. You can reheat the oatmeal on the stovetop or microwave. Just add a little additional milk to loosen the oatmeal, if needed. https://www.eatingbirdfood.com/slow-cooker-apple-cinnamon-steel-cut-oatmeal/
  14. This has been a debate for years. They initially did not like the name MaleEscortReview.com. Why? It was not the site they wanted to go to. Now there is an issue with the word boy. However, every one of them that have that issue was OK with the word Rentboy. IMHO no difference. But, you are right, many will not give Spacey a second chance. I will and not because he is a great actor (he is) but because he has not been proven to be guilty of anything yet. Yes, he made advances. Yes, he was a prick at times. But, does it rise to the level of career ending? Not from what I have heard. But, perhaps I have not heard the whole story.
  15. Do you think he has lost the court of public opinion in the gay arena?
  16. Loved the video. Clever and witty!
  17. This just might come in 2nd!

Trump's desire all along has been to burn the house down. He has done that with every single agency under his control. This should surprise no one. He does not think about the good of the USA or its allies. He thinks about Trump. ONLY. And, that is what people elected and they are happy with it.
  19. What is your favorite video from 2018? Here is mine:
  20. Welcome!
  21. I loved her growing up and enjoyed her movies as an adult. RIP
  22. Yes, but a Grindr date didn't show and I had already taken a Viagra and thus I needed a release. My guy at Bangkok Massage was not working so I ventured out to find what I was looking for.
  23. The Prague thread is amazing. But, remember, they get a different type of client in Prague. There are some men that live to go to the saunas in Brazil and haggle with the boys to get them dirt cheap. I do not remember the club issue being a problem with photos. I thought it was lack of participation that made Tomcal close it. That said, if you have a Club with only people you know or trust, there is no issue. If you open a Club to anyone who wishes to join, then, thus an issue can easily arise.
  24. My Hero is gorgeous. It is well done and the deluxe rooms are great. The cost for 1.5 hours is 1800 baht. The tip is 1500 baht. So, the total cost was 3,300 baht. They didn't have many guys to select from but they had one that caught my eye immediatley. His name was Tonkar (sp). He is 22 and from Issan. Nice body, smaller build and decent command of English. I like the scrub and the massage. That is what we did. I finally had a nice time at My Hero after many attempts. All it takes is one guy. Facilities 5/5 Selection of Guys: 3/5 Room: 5/5 Massage: 3/5 Sex: 4/5 Overall: 20/25 The mamasan was useless as always. But, the place is ultra clean and well lit and great rooms and clean showers.
  25. Let me be clear, I have not heard of any issues in the Club area. Those are all private. Those photos were not shared. Only the ones in the open forums were shared. The Clubs area was added to avoid this issue. However, that often limits the number of people participating and that is fine for me with photo threads. I also use photography as do many of you with never an issue. The Club areas are available for all to use and create and are as safe and secure as the owner (the Club originator) opens them.
