Thailand as the #1 Tourist Destination. I would guess that the overwhelming majority of those 12 million visitors have no interest in paying for Sex gay or straight. Bangkok is a wonderful destination for millions and it has nothing to do wit Sex. Now we have members here that have traveled all over Thailand and a smaller number who have elected to retire here or use it as their residence for Business Travels in the rest of Asia. We even have members who have fallen in love and have chosen a Thai for a life partner. But the vast majority of the frequent posters here , visit for SEX. Sex means different things to people. To some it is Romance , to others the Act, to some the closeness of sharing a meal and be entwined with someone in bed and getting to know another human being. A lot of that is determined by time frame. A visitor who is in Thailand for 60 days has a much different perspective then someone who has traveled 8000 miles for a 7 day vacation. That is not to say that during the day we don't visit the recommended tourist sites and look for good restaurants in various price brackets. But some here although in a minority think paying the absolute least is the best way to have a successful encounter. Others who have a longer time frame for their visit are looking to have more then a 1hour encounter or even 1 overnight. Others are happy paying somewhat more then the accepted minimum. All need to be respected ! Nothing wrong with setting a budget and sticking to it. But we have some members who fail to realize that for some, a successful encounter is not spending the absolute minimum. We have members who like to stay in nice Hotels and others who consider that a complete waste of money. We have members who love taking their date to a restaurant of his choice and others who want to give the boy some money to purchase a micro wave meal at 7/11. We have members who enjoy purchasing a boy something special and others who would never consider that. There is no right or wrong in these decisions but rather personal choices. But I'm just wondering how many will admit that if tomorrow the short time rate became 5000 baht and long time 20,000 baht , they would cease to visit. That in fact represents the lower price for escorts in many parts of the world that our members reside . I love the beauty of Phuket. But, I always have a Thai BF with me there to negotiate and EVEN then it is a PITA. I got around this years back when I started to hire a car by day and they stayed with me day and night. It was well worth it as the taxi scams are a pain. But, just about all vendors will try to upsell you on something. It is often frustrating. That said, if you have never been, it is magic and beautiful and a must see if you are new to Thailand. For me, I have little desire for another visit.

I was there a month back and talked to several guys. One guy really peaked my interest and I took him with me. He was great. There were over 15 other guys working and near 11 PM. I was driving but had a Thai guy with me to interpret and that was needed as the English was very poor. However, the guy was stellar and the time was well worth it. He only asked for 500 baht and I tipped even more. I have seen him 2 times since and now he just comes to my place. He is former military and great body.
