Forty years ago today, on May 24, 1976, the first installment of "Tales of the City" was published in the San Francisco Chronicle. As a child, I read these books and thought that my life could be different. I dreamed of San Francisco and I dreamed of having people know me and know I was gay. These books and the author had a major influence on my life.

Firecat, I agree. Information like this is invaluable to me. The members always come through with great information. I remember my first trip to Thailand and I found GayButton's board and it gave me great info about how much money to pay and some things to do. That was many years ago and still today he is willing to help and give advice. Like others on this board, the information that is shared is truly amazing. Good advice from all!

I am considering purchasing a car for use in Thailand. I have talked to the BF and we are discussing options. I have not decided if I should put it in my name or his name. What are the benefits of both? I trust him and if I loose a car when we break up, that is OK. But, are there other benefits of having in my name or his? If it is in my name will he be able to easily drive it without issues from police, checkpoints, etc.? Vice versa? Do you need a certain type of visa to purchase on credit? How much money down do they normally ask for? The boyfriend says about 2-300,000 thousand baht for an SUV. Does GPS work in English very easily to get around Bangkok and the rest of the country? Can you easily take a car from Thailand into neighboring countries? Any assistance or advice would be appreciated.

A friend of mine ran an companions agency in NYC. He would book up to 6 months or more in advance for the guys that were with him for a bit. The reason is that many plan their trip around who will be their companion. They want to be sure they get what they want. If things ever changed on the end of the agency, he would simply contact client and let them know the guy was no longer there and offer alternatives. However, I would never plan that far in advance to Thailand as I know the place. But, if I were booking a convention or a first time tourist, I would. In the end, it is up to Moses and his boys to determine how far they wish to book in advance. But, if a week long gig came along for months in advance, I would not turn it down. But, I like money! On another note, Mac is sexy. Can I get him at an Apple Genius Bar?

I hope closed for one day only. If not, my heart breaks just a little!

I suggest you change that policy. Many like to plan their trips in advance. You could confirm with them a month in advance. But, why not book 90 days in advance?

I always know the off fee before I go to a bar and when I am told something different, I tip the boy, give him my number and say goodnight. He always calls. The bar looses out on an off. I hate when they try to screw you over on these things.

Take him to Bangkok Pattaya. They do it and give a report to the person taking the test. If you both get the test, then you can both show each other the results. They will also allow you both to sit in on the results. It is a quick test and cost less than 30 USD I think.

I always try to post the experiences I have when I travel. I do so as I hope it will help others. I have always believed that it is best when we all share information that we learn. Of course, I like photos as well. But, I really do appreciate hearing a travel report from someone and the first thing I do when I visit a new place is to try to find information that someone here has posted.

Hello! How are you doing? Sorry you are having issues. I suggest that you not use bookmarks to open the site. If you log in from the main page: boytoy.com and click yes to the pop up to enter and then log in and then go to the forums, you should not have an issue. Often, people bookmark the forum but the rules require you to agree to the over 18 Enter page. When this is not done, it often causes issues with the session.

I am looking for a nice apartment in a nice area but do not want to be in the "middle of everything" in the city. I am looking for a nice area but reasonable prices. The only requirement I have is that it be near a Skytrain station. I like being able to whip into and out of Siam Paragon. I am tired of taking taxi's and spending a great deal of time trying to get places via cars. I like the Thonglor area. But, I am open to any area. A friend lives near Bang Na and likes it. Another near Nana but Nana is too hectic for me. Any suggestions?

Absolutely stunning young man! Very handsome and sexy! Thank you for sharing. Do not listen to those that say shitty things. They don't have good tastes. I remember my first long time guy in Thailand. His name was Mr. T from Future Boys. He was cute and sexy and loved 3 ways. I took him for a few weeks my first trip and kept up with him for many years. I didn't know he was a ladyboy until years after I new him and he was staying with me in Pattaya and I had a house full of boys with me and he wanted them to fuck him. I was OK with it and they told me he was a ladyboy. I told them they didn't know what they were talking about. I asked him and he said, "Yes, I am." I was shocked. But, like you, I enjoyed every moment with him and even though I like the younger more masculine types, this guy got better with age and time. He was a real sweetheart and my memories of him were great! Thank you for letting us in on one of your guys! I really enjoyed the photo collection!

Free Gold until August 31. Then, stay 4 times before Aug 31 and get Gold for another year. I tried it and it worked. I'm now Gold. As I have not stayed in Hilton for years, I wanted to try a few. http://slickdeals.net/f/8723471-hilton-hhonors-free-gold-status-upgrade-book-4-times-by-august-31-earn-free-year?utm_content=59660

MsGuy, I had the exact same reaction when I saw the video and he mentioned his wife. I was going to enroll in regaydar training but your post has caused me to cancel the seminar. Thanks!

Marc, Isn't it amazing how much things have changed in Hollywood in just the last 5 years? Even the last one or two? It is great that so many of our gay brothers and sisters feel they can come out without destroying their career?

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, he made it official. http://www.ew.com/article/2016/05/05/colton-haynes-interview
