  1. By resident, do you mean working here? Or, on your way to being a Thai citizen?
  2. What happened to change through non-violence? Is that something that is dead these days? If so, that is very troublesome. However, I can understand the frustration. What leaders do we have in the Black Lives Movement or any other movement that is truly a leader like MLK or Gandhi? Do we have any?
  3. I agree. However, we must also look at the number of deaths that guns cause in this country every year. There is hardly a day that goes by when someone is not killed by a gun. It seems we might get wise and stop the amount of guns sold in the USA. I have guns. I have all my life. But, I don't think they should be allowed by anyone. I'd love to go to a gun free society. We must also know that the more our economy struggles, the more people will feel disenfranchised from our country. We must have strong policies in place to allow everyone in society to succeed. My heart goes out to those officer's families and to others who were killed by other officers the past few days. I am sick of seeing these things happen in the USA.
  4. Porto Alegre is often considered as a great sauna location. I have been to saunas in Salvadore and Foraleza that were also great and tons of boys. I think there are saunas in every major city in the country.

    Gyms in BKK

When there was a California Wow in Silom, it was very cruisy and lots of action. Back in NYC, there were several gyms that the steam room was always active. Even in the most exclusive clubs, I have seen hot sex scenes in the steam rooms. I miss those days.
  6. In USA, we can use our cc or debit cards and earn miles. Does anyone do the same in Thailand with their Thai bank account?
  7. The new TV series Animal Kingdom is quite entertaining. I love Ellen Barkin and she is truly ruthless in this show. I also love all the surfer eye candy especially the lead character Finn Cole as Joshua "J" Cody. The last episode has one of the troubled sons breaking into his "bf's" house and throwing him on the bed, getting out a bottle of lube and fucking him. I love me some closeted straight characters who know to use Eros.
  8. Back at Gay Pride in NYC many years ago, I had a cute twink on my arms who was not shy at all and Queer as Folk was big. At the end of the parade on Christopher Street, he went over and was in a deep french kiss with Randy. I had great JO sessions for weeks just thinking about it.
  9. I read a great article today in the NYTimes about the violence that is ripping apart that country with regards to gays and lesbians. It did remind me of my own childhood in Alabama where a good friend was burned alive in his car for being gay and 2 lesbians that lived near us were burned in a trailer. Many parts of the world are 30-40 years behind USA on some issues and this one of them. America still does not have this fully right, but strides have been made and the minds of people have been changed. Unfortunately for Brazil, they have a rising evangelical population and you know what that means? Hate will be on the rise as well. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/07/06/world/americas/brazil-anti-gay-violence.html?hpw&rref=world&action=click&pgtype=Homepage&module=well-region&region=bottom-well&WT.nav=bottom-well
  10. When I first got to Bangkok on this trip, I was going downtown with some friends and saw an odd building. I asked the driver about it and he knew nothing. The building looked like it was in a state of flux. But, I was fascinated with it and wanted to learn more. Today, I saw this article with a great video. Take a look: http://edition.cnn.com/2016/06/30/architecture/ole-scheeren-bangkok-skyscraper/index.html
  11. Thank you Lucky. It is good to see you! You were missed!
  12. It is a good ways from BTS. But, they have a free shuttle from the station before Bang Na (forgot the name) that runs back and forth often.
  13. BTW: For those that remember threads in the past about Memory Foam Mattresses, they had them. They also have a store that sells Vitamix 220 volts (39,000 baht) but they had it. You are right, there are many stores!
  14. I went shopping at Mega Bangna's Ikea. I needed some sheets, towels, kitchen items, etc. One thing that caught my attention was a very well made desk (not the cheap fake plastic stuff I often see there) and we ended up buying it. As the desk was huge, we had it delivered along with several bags of other things. They showed up the next day and had everything tightly packaged. We had them put the desk together. It was very quick and they made sure we were happy with everything. I have shopped many places in Thailand and had delivery. This place was very easy and no problems. I was happy with the delivery and I'm happy with the office desk. BTW: If you have not been to Mega Bangna, it was great. Tons of great stores and items. They even had some things I had looked for previously in Thailand that I could find no where but they had in the stores in this shopping center.
  15. I am looking for a laundry pick up and delivery service in Bangkok. I know there are several that do this but wanted to know if anyone here has any personal experience with any of them. Thanks.
  16. When you see the text box at the bottom, there is an area that says Drag Files here or choose files. That is the way photos are added.
  17. So sorry guys! Glad you are back in.
  18. LOL You are right there! And, the Tuk Tuk Adventure is coming soon to a theater near you.
  19. FC, I enjoyed the food. There was good music by a live singer and band. I was with a group of 10 others and we all enjoyed our food and 1/2 off beer during happy hour.
  20. Being dyslexic, I often can't spell very well. LOL Yes, it was cheese. But, tonight I went to a place called Chess. It was at Asiatique. Yum!
  21. I have met several taxi drivers that have offered sex and I have taken up at least 2 of these I can remember. One was a former worker in Soi Twilight and one was just so damn cute I could not resist. But, straight? I think everything is fluid.
  22. The prices were on the menu in the restaurant. They were not cheap. But, not horrible. I think Spaghetti was around 260 baht and the chess platter was around 900 baht.
  23. No music that I recall. But, there may have been some in the background.
  24. My taxi got lost yesterday and instead of staying in the car with him, we got out and just walked into a restaurant to eat. I am so glad we did as we all really enjoyed the restaurant. We especially loved the chess platter. We had both the pizza and the spaghetti and both were excellent. The service was very good and they had a great selection of wine.
