  1. The boys and I are thinking of going to Beijing for a week next month. I started looking for tickets and Thai Air is very expensive. The cheapest ticket I saw was from Hong Kong Air. Has anyone used them? Any experiences good or bad is greatly appreciated. Also, does anyone have a travel agent they recommend in Bangkok?
  2. I was thinking of something like this but with work stations.
  3. It was with great difficulty (not out of the woods yet) but also I learned a long time ago that throwing money at a problem often solves it. So, I just had my programmers chained down in their offices and only one bathroom break ever 9 hours. (being generous, I did put a few buckets under the desks for emergencies)
  4. Thanks Lucky but I was being very serious. The SCOTUS is a non partisan group. We all know this. We know they interpret laws with no prejudices. I mean, don't they normally agree on all issues and thus why the mandates are handed down? LOL Too funny hito!
  5. Fabulous report. Thank you. Several great photos as well. I love the architecture of Brasilia. The Hotel you are staying at looks beautiful. Please tell us more when you have time as I will stay there on my next visit. Love the photos. Is Jefferson in the military now?
  6. Mr. Bill, I loved Northwest. I was elite with them so my experience may have been different than most but I always had great service and their site was easy to navigate to find good deals on Business Class seats for upgraded and rewards. Delta's website SUCKS. IMHO But, I find I keep getting stuck with them.
  7. Guys it is pretty simple, I put it in this forum as the Supreme Court is supposed to be non political. Right?
  8. Walmart is the largest employer in the USA (except the Federal govt). They have stated that starting in 2014 that domestic partners will be covered. Nice. http://money.cnn.com/2013/08/27/news/companies/walmart-same-sex-benefits/index.html?hpt=hp_t3
  9. We have been working very hard to finalize the City Guides Edit Functionality on the main part of the website. It is live for all to try and to test and we have already had over 20 articles edited and approved. As long as you are logged into the site, you should see an edit button at the very top of the article. You can then edit our words that you feel should have been different, add things that you want to see, or change any part of the article. This was a great suggestion a few months back and the recent issue with some of my writing not being appropriate had my teams working in overdrive to make this part of the guides live. We hope that everyone will use this and if you know a city like the back of your hand, PLEASE help us to improve on the information we give to others. As always, thank you all for being a member of this great site! We appreciate each and every one of you!
  10. Did anyone else watch this? I thought the show was fun to watch but I didn't agree with any of the decisions that Bear made. And, then he chose a couple at the end to win that would not have gotten out alive. The concept was great. The delivery was horrible.

  13. Interesting list. I didn't find citation for where they got their info. Anyone see a citation? http://skaught.likes.com/the-25-most-dangerous-cities-in-the-world
  14. You get the points in many ways. You can sign up for a Chase Bank card and get 80k points and thus stay 16 nights there for free. I am sure many locals can afford that right? Free. What a great deal. There are other ways to earn points. IHG just started a new promo and members can earn up to 200,000 extra points. That would be 40 nights there free. But, you have to work hard to get those "free" points and if you don't stay in their branded hotels, it is impossible to achieve. But, the Chase card is free (I think) or very cheap. I also know there are other ways to get points and your airline may have a deal to switch points over. I am not sure the rules. But, to see the rates on their site, just click price with Rewards Points.
  15. Both look great! Thanks.
  16. It is a good site Townie. But, for this promo, he posted on his site Aug. 26. I posted on Aug. 24. Just call me the Intercon Insider. JK The promo for Win Big really does depend on who you are with them as you can get points based on your stays but if like last years promo, it depends on each person gets different points. I assume this may be the case. I did sign up for this promo yesterday but it requires a lot of work by Dec. 31. I'll play the game though as it gets me near 200,000 points. As a side note, I have had several friends get 80k points by getting a Credit Card. If you use that for the 5k points, that is 16 nights in Bangkok. Who is coming?
  17. Did you go par for your play time?
  18. You may be right. But, I have had 5 friends who were all in their 20' and 30's live there and all said the same thing. But, they just liked sex and didn't care of the sex partner was married or not. They were just into sex. For a twink lover like me, it may not be ideal. But for someone who truly does like older men, yes I know many, it is paradise for them.
  19. I just don't believe this. He is as activist on the issues he wants to pass as the rest. IMHO, he and Thomas are part of the reason that America is on the decline.
  20. n an interview with the New York Times Adam Liptak, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg offered a grim assessment of the Court where she so often finds herself leading a four justice dissent the Roberts Court is one of the most activist courts in history. As an historic matter, this is a pretty staggering claim. The Supreme Court in 1905 handed down a decision called Lochner v. New York that is now widely taught in American law schools as an example of how judges should never, ever behave. Lochner treated any law improving workplace conditions or helping workers to obtain an adequate wage as constitutionally suspect. And Lochner was hardly an anomalous moment in the Courts history. Thirteen years after Lochner the Supreme Court struck down federal child labor laws in a decision that is also widely taught as an example of inexcusable judicial activism. In 1895, the Supreme Court rendered the country virtually powerless against monopolies and other powerful combinations of corporate power, and then it held an income tax on the wealthiest Americans unconstitutional just a few months later. The Supreme Court has, with rare exception, been a largely malign force in American history. There is, however, one important way in which the Roberts Court is distinguishable from the Courts that decided cases such as Lochner. Laws such as the Sherman Antitrust Act and the first federal ban on child labor arose as lawmakers with struggling with many of the negative side effects of the Industrial Revolution. The birth of the railroad and the dawn of mass production massively improved the American standard of living, but they also enabled monopolists to thrive and they resulted in mass exploitation of the working class. The Supreme Court in this era did not so much tear down established rights as it stood for a status quo that favored capital over labor and the rich over the rest of the nation. The Roberts Court, by contrast, has actively rolled back existing laws protecting workers, women and people of color. The Nineteenth Century Supreme Court blocked Americas first meaningful efforts at racial equality, but the Roberts Court stole from minority voters rights that they had enjoyed for decades. The Lochner Court strangled basic protections for workers in their crib, but the Roberts Court takes fully matured protections for workers and carves them up a piece at a time. And, while Lochner Era courts acted out in the open, undermining human rights in published opinions. the Roberts Court pushes an alternative, corporate-run arbitration system that operates largely in secret. 21. Isn't it amazing what money can buy in Thailand? http://www.bangkokpost.com/news/local/366477/indictment-of-red-bull-delayed-again-as-statute-of-limitations-winds-down
  22. This week's episode has to be one of the best written, directed and acted show EVER on TV. My mouth was open the entire time. @IFuckingLoveThisShow
