I love me some good crisp bacon! I know. I know. Bad for you! But, I still love it.
-
Why? Because I have a whole lot of love to share.

That was a great get-to-gether. And, I think Stella's was still open back then right? I have always thought these get togethers were nice and fun. I had a nice time last year in Phoenix with Lurker and Townie in one that Lurker planned.

Well, I am not offering but I am curious to see what will happen in many states now that the federal government has decided to let states decide what is best for the laws inside those states when it comes to Marijuana. I was happy that the AG said they would let Washington and Colorado make their own laws and not interfere. Can't wait to see what happens based on this new policy. Personally, I love weed to relax me to sleep. But, I smoke it only in California from time to time. I hate alcohol and have never been drunk once my entire life. I would love to see the legalization of MJ across the land.

After the recent Hitler Fried Chicken made its way around the social media circles, now we have a Thailand based franchise of Dunkin Donuts making the news with an ad that many find offensive. What do you think? http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/business/2013/08/30/dunkin-donuts-thailand-ad/2748829/

I have recently been watching the most pro beard show in the history of entertainment: Duck Dynasty. These guys love their beards and each season talks about their unwillingness to shave. I have seen more of a trend with guys wanting to grow beards more recently than in the past but I think part of that has to do with the dynamic change in office protocol. If you work at any large tech company, you will find beards, shorts being worn, and everything is provided for comfort and relaxing at the workplace. This was not true years before but more and more companies are trying to loosen the rules at the work place. I once worked in a job that a shaven face was required.

In light of all the recent attention with the rulings and with the IRS, I was thinking back to some of my first gay themed books. One of them, Maurice, was just divine to read. I read it when I was a wee lad (Gay section of a book store) and then again in college. I actually did a research paper on the book comparing it to Lady Chatterly's Lover. I called it Love in the Time of Ruins. LOL I got an A on the paper and then sold it to one of those online research paper places. I think I got 50 USD for it! I thought I was rich! I have such fond memories of the book and I hope that a new generation falls in love with it.

This type of guest house is now very rare in Bangkok. The traditional Thai Teak Home has been disappearing from the streets of Bangkok. As we all know this city has mostly concrete houses and apartment buildings. Here we have the old style of Thailand hidden away in the center of Bangkok and on a small street just off of Sukhumvit Rd. When you enter you will feel the serenity about to envelop you. This property is renowned for its spa treatments which focus on your health. The Baan Thai Wellness Retreat has 21 rooms available and seven of these rooms allow you to enjoy spa therapies in your own private room. Carefully selected ingredients and extensive choices are available for you to choose from. Please tell us about your visits there? My Fall trip to Europe has been finalized!
TotallyOz replied to TownsendPLocke's topic in European Men and Destinations
This sounds like an amazing trip. I know you will have a blast! -
This is an important move for our community. I also love they make this for all 50 states as well as for allowing overseas marriages to count.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - All legally wed gay couples, no matter which state they live in, are entitled to the same U.S. federal tax benefits as married heterosexual couples, the Obama administration said on Thursday. The U.S. Treasury ruling, following a landmark Supreme Court decision in June, means that whether a married gay couple lives in New York, which recognizes gay marriage, or Oklahoma, which does not, federal tax benefits and responsibilities apply. The Supreme Court on June 26 invalidated a key portion of a 1996 federal law, known as the Defense of Marriage Act, which had defined marriage as between a man and a woman. There was some uncertainty after the Supreme Court ruling about how the tax status of gay married couples would be treated in dozens of states that have laws against gay marriage. "Today's ruling provides certainty and clear, coherent tax filing guidance for all legally married same-sex couples nationwide. It provides access to benefits, responsibilities and protections under federal tax law that all Americans deserve," Treasury Secretary Jack Lew said. http://news.yahoo.com/treasury-grants-wide-tax-recognition-same-sex-couples-182041850.html

I think he said he is keeping up with the items for himself but that he is sharing it with others so that others might benefit from it. I know that sharing on different boards is important as many members do not cross over from one board to another and you also get different responses on the boards. Personally, for me, I am glad Christian shares on all the boards. Otherwise, I would have missed this thread and I did share this with some friends who are not on this board but wanting to move to Thailand to make a documentary and asked about expenses.

You will find this Guesthouse on a stretch of Jomtien beach. This is a paradise location in Pattaya. It is beachfront and close to the beginning section of the Gay Beach Area. Tui's Place is a place that you go to getaway from all the craziness. You will have a short two minute walk to transportation into the downtown if you feel the need for some fun in some of the gay areas like BOYZTOWN or SUNEE Plaza. It's for to you to decide! You will find a restaurant with Thai and Western food. You can have breakfast looking out over the ocean at very reasonable prices. You will find no elevator in this Guest House but a huge and gorgeous swimming pool that belongs to high rise condo's behind, not to sure how their manage that but it's available for you's that wish to stay at their guesthouse. This is more a bar then a restaurant because when you need food they will get it from other restaurants in the area. It's a good place to sit at during the evening. It's not big place like Telephone Pub but more laid back. Just sit and relax watching the boys walk by with nicely priced drinks of 60-100 baht. Please let us know about your experience? I loved the first quote at the bottom of this article! It is sad to see how such hatred and bigotry can really be around today. http://www.advocate.com/news/world-news/2013/08/28/russia-raids-gay-peoples-homes
