  1. Santa is a smart man!
  2. I want to thank FH for the Candy Cane he left for me to lick! Also, Happy Holidays to everyone in Thailand and abroad!
  3. I agree.
  4. I just got back from Toy Boy and I have to say, without a doubt, the finest collection of boys gathered together in place that I have seen in Pattaya in 8 years. Pretty amazing and something for everyone! A stop in Boyztown and Toy Boy and Funny Boys will give you the best of the best. IMHO
  5. XBoys in Pattayaland soi 1 is having a party tonight to celebrate their 3rd Anniversary. If past parties tell anything, this should be a great show.
  6. Jomtien, I know you like sex but you don't always have to have the home court advantage.
  7. For those that have not seen The Wedding Banquet, also by Ang Lee, I highly recommend it.
  8. Sorry TW, no board should run by trusting a consensus of opinion over matters regarding board decisions. That is why we have moderators. The Mods and the Admins are the ones to make that call. Do you know how many times members have been totally wrong about new posters? I can tell it for a fact, it is often. Most members are very skeptical of new members. I am not sure why, but it is the same on all boards. I liken this to a conviction to murder. It is better to let 100 guilty men free than to convict one innocent. Err on the side of caution. IMHO
  9. Bob is fortunate to spend time on other boards and know the posting style of many posters. I am not. I never have been and others are not. I have read GayButton's posts for years on this board and if he registered under another name, I would not recognize it. I visit the others boards once every two weeks or so when I am in Thailand and even less when I am away. It would be impossible for me to recognize anyone from another board. And, I have a hard time even recognizing posters here if they were to register under a new name. Sure, if a poster registers and keeps talking about alpha males being superior to every other bar boy type then I might have a guess as to who it is. But, hell, if I might have made some of the same posts if I would more open to offending others. After all, don't we all really go to the bars only to find hot alpha males? I know I do.
  10. It is often hard to determine and when heygay came to the board, it was not know that this was him. Then, after a hundred or so posts it was decided that he was not causing issues and to try to moderate him. Perhaps not the best decision but it was the decision. All I can say is that if anyone has strong beliefs on moderator decisions, they should volunteer to be one. The site always asks for more mods but few volunteer as they know it is not an easy job. It is always easy looking from the outside.

    Downton Abbey

OK. I admit when Expat started this post I had every intention to watch the show but for some reason never did. 2 month ago Firecat has asked me to download an episode for him as his Internet was slow and so I did. As Firecat keeps telling me I need to watch it and everyone says such good things about it, I went ahead and got Season 1 and 2. I have had them for a month or so and not watched them until last week. I have to say that I am so glad I watched Season 1. I am now in Season 2 and I think the show is brilliant. I love the storyline and the characters. It is such a gem of a show.
  12. When I ran the board, I know I had at least 2 moderators resign directly because of him. One because I would not ban him from the site and the other, well, for the same reason. One moderator returned when his previous handle LMTU was removed and the other not only never return but has rarely posted since. IMHO that pretty much says all that is needed to know about history. That tells you how much drama surrounds one poster. That is why I understand this decision. It was a real pain the ass back then and it seems things haven't changed much since then. My suggestion is that when someone is banned they can't return under any other names. Once a decision is made, be done with it. That said, you can't just ban someone based on the "assumption" they are a previous poster on this board or another poster on another board. You need some evidence.
  13. I wish that were true. I think they prefer the size of my wallet.
  14. I love them! I have always been jealous that women get all the good shoes. Of course, I am a size 14 and I don't think they make these in my size or I'll be all over them!
  15. Two points here my dear: 1. The sweet was much better than the trailer I lived in as a kid. But, to call it Palatial is a bit much. 2. I didn't steal him from you. I just borrowed him. You were late and he was just waiting outside your door. I thought it would be rude not to invite him into my room for a drink. LOL
  16. I have seen way too many younger lads in the bars and clubs that were working. But, I do see this is changing a great deal and now there are very few bars that carry underage. Pattaya is the city known for this but that has changed in the last 5 years. There are 2 areas of Pattaya and one area is it very rare if ever to find someone under 18 in the bar. The other area, Sunee Plaza, you must be careful and check ID as there are several 17 year olds. Many Thai's start their age with birth so 18 to us is 17 to them as it is their 18th year. Hard to explain but I always find best to check ID's.
  17. On this I totally disagree. I needed to see him in order to visualize things at the end better. Without giving away too much detail on the movie, I am really glad this character was presented in the way he was.
  18. I have never seen this in Thailand but I do like the idea. Was it given to you or just shown to you? I love Hero Massage in Bangkok and it tells you right up front the minimum tip for the boys. I wish all places with "offing" did this as it makes sure the boys are taken care of.
  19. KT, I do not like the decision at all but I do understand it. He was not removed only for his lack of conduct on other sites but for his constant time drain here. My suggestion to Scooby early on was to try to edit his posts for grammar so that others would not complain. (yes, I know silly that some called for his banishment due to lack of proper English posting) Editing his posts is sometimes easy to do and sometimes not so easy to do. Some of his posts are just unreadable and take a great deal of work or impossible to change to make sense. Personally, I like the poster and think he posts some great content and I am OK with the mangled English. I have never understood why those that don't like his posting just ignore him and his posts. But, when the admins have to spend the vast majority of their time with issues with one posters, it is understandable they wish no to do this. I am sure this was not a one time issue but hundreds of smaller issues. If they had over 40 posts that were reported for rule violations, that in itself takes a great deal of time to discuss and deal with in the mod forum. To my knowledge in 7 or 8 years this site has banned a total of 2 posters. That tells me that this site goes to enormous lengths to avoid this. FH: "Egregious member conduct in external forums may give cause for Gay Thailand Message Center post-access privileges to be reviewed and revoked at Gay Thailand Management discretion." This was written by me many years back and the word I thought people would concentrate on was MAY. Then, at the Management's discretion. It gives the admin the ability in ALL cases to make decisions. It puts the decision totally in the hands of the admin and not a group consensuses. It was also intended for those members who were posting things that would put other boards in legal proceedings. This has not happened with any posters that I am aware of on any board related to Gay Thailand. There is no easy way to run or moderate a message board. It is a hard task but when decisions are made, even if we don't agree with them, we should give a bit of leeway to the admins as they know about the issue then we do.
  20. Sorry, there is no stage per se!
  21. My first trip to Thailand was with a boy from New York and together we learned about Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket. We had a blast in each city. Firecat then showed us around Pattaya and it was a huge help as like Lucky, I would not have figured out many of the bars without someone to show me around. Time has changed over the years and now there are so many good maps that you can find it better but it is great to have a guide.
  22. I took my 2 elderly aunts to Thailand about 8 years ago and they loved it. The BF showed them the country and was wonderful to them. The funniest thing I remember from their trip was the Thai toilets and as they were both in their late 60's at the time and slightly overweight, it was something that was so difficult for them and they came out one day just laughing up a storm and I didn't want to ask but finally I had to and they said, "well, lets just say I knew the aim wasn't too good when I saw the floor filling up with liquid."
  23. "A young man who survives a disaster at sea is hurtled into an epic journey of adventure and discovery. While cast away, he forms an unexpected connection with another survivor ... a fearsome Bengal tiger. Based on the best-selling novel by Yann Martel, is a magical adventure story centering on Pi Patel, the precocious son of a zoo keeper. Dwellers in Pondicherry, India, the family decides to move to Canada, hitching a ride on a huge freighter. After a shipwreck, Pi finds himself adrift in the Pacific Ocean on a 26-foot lifeboat with a zebra, a hyena, an orangutan and a 450-pound Bengal tiger named Richard Parker, all fighting for survival." Having taken my two guys tonight to see this, I was in love with the beauty of the movie. It was magical and I just adored the movie. The cinematography is amazing. The characters are easy to fall into their story. I was happy to see Gérard Depardieu in the movie as I have not seen him in too much recently and I have great memories of him in earlier films. I am a big fan of Ang Lee and have been waiting for this movie to come to Thailand. My sister saw it a few weeks back and told me to be sure to see it. I am so glad I did. There is also large chunks of the movie where dialogue is not needed and thus the boys were very interested in the movie as well. They both said they liked it but they did ask lots of questions afterwards. I thought the lead character, Suraj Sharma did a great job. I also loved seeing some familiar scenes from India and Montreal. The movie is just great. Go and see it if you have a chance.

  25. Toy Boys has been amazing lately. Every time I have been in there, it is packed to the rafters with boys and many very cute ones as well. Funny Boys in that area also does not disappoint. I went to Eros last night and enjoyed it but many more fem boys that I would like but I still had a nice time. Also we went to Nice Boys and they had some cute guys on stage and a nice atmosphere. My last trip to Crazy Dragon was much like yours Z. It was pretty slow and not many guys.
