OnFinger, when I was in NYC, I found the same thing. I found so many churches that were open and accepting and I even went to 2 churches that were all gay. I do enjoy going to church although I can't say I am a believer. I guess I am just hedging my bets. But, in cities and areas where there are enlightened people and pastors, there seems to be a logical path to church growth. Again, IMHO, church numbers are on the decline and that is inevitable. But, there are ways to change the direction if they embrace the 20th century. I am glad that churches in your area are performing the marriages. I guess I just assumed (not a good thing) that most were married in court houses.

I hope to god this thread does not turn into another thread about Heygay. That, IMHO, would be the travesty!

Isn't this what all churches stances are? There are a few exceptions in larger cities but growing up in the deep South and a very conservative church, they still say they love me but hate my sin. Aren't they all the same on this? (not every church but vast majority) I think OneFinger hit it and Hi to us is right. It is a step in the right direction but as I have said for years, if the churches don't change and fast, they are going to loose all their young people. Can they not see this?

A very sad thing in deed. Tim was a great guy and enjoyable to talk to. He was also very good to many in the gay community in Thailand. I hope his friends and family know how kind he was to others and know that many that met him over the years will truly miss him. RIP Tim

One will deal with Prop 8 from Cali and one will deal with the Defense of Marriage Act. I have been lucky enough to see several of his buildings in Brazil over the years and was always taken by them. He was Brazil's most famous architect. He died today at the age of 104. Good seats for The Hobbit are selling out fast. It starts next week in most places in Thailand but if you want a good seat, you might want to book in advance if you want to see on opening day. In Pattaya, SFX has a good amount of seats left but the center seats are filling up fast. FYI

What about the TV?

All the sudden today my aircon started leaking water. We turned it off and turned on another one in the same room. The same thing then happened to the other one. Then, the TV went out. I am not sure if this is coincidence or a planned attack from the electricity. I hope to find a good handyman who at least if he does not know how to fix things can get someone who can. Any advice?

He is asking if 2k is a good rate for a guy to stay all day and night and tour and have sex. I think that is a good rate. Do you agree?

OK. We have had the bread machine for a few weeks now and we love it. Our favorite so far is the Beer Cheese Bread. YUMMY!

I would be leery to hire someone based on gayromeo but that is just me. 2k baht per day seems very reasonable to me. I hired a guide when I was in Thailand on my first trip and I chose based on how cute he was. Big mistake. He spoke very little English and knew very little of the city and when we got stuck half way between Bangkok and Pattaya, there was no way for me to tell him to call my hotel to get them to pick me up. He was great for sex at night and fun to be with and great with 3 ways but as a tour guide, he sucked. I suggest you make sure you hire a pro if you want a true guide experience. But, this is just my advise and if the boy is cute, I'm sure you will enjoy him. Why not just hire him your first night and test him. If you guys click, then offer him to stay with you longer. He will not deny this request. If you don't like him, you are not stuck in a deal struck up via the Internet.
