  1. Fruits. They are everywhere in Thailand. Let your imagination go wild but Thailand has more fruits than anywhere I have been. On just about every corner, there is a fruit stand or push cart. You can get fresh squeezed oranges, pineapples, etc

  3. I have had the same problem many times. From the USA, I found that Expedia helps a great deal as you can often find which airline will go lower for the oneway fare. Thai Air does it from time to time and I booked with them once but it was done through a local travel agent in Thailand and not online. Have you considered contacting one of them? I always have problems with getting airlines with an open end return. It all depends on the class of fare you buy and if you buy a full refundable one, that is easy but that is almost the same price as a business ticket.
  4. The boys and I saw the Bond movie and also enjoyed it. I am glad Bangkok Burger Company is doing so well. They really did a few smart things when they were opening up the first one. Their Social Media campaign was great and they were really on top of everything before the opening. They had nights with free food for weeks to prepare. Looks like they had a really great long range plan and it is paying off. You are right, these burgers are great and I am glad they kept the quality up when they opened new in Siam Paragon. Thanks for the heads up. I will defiantly be giving this a try.
  5. There is so much to see and do in Pattaya and I love the gay areas. But, occasionally I like to venture into the Walking Street area for a bit of nightlife with the ladies. There is a great jazz bar the boys and I like, there are several restaurants that we like and I just like the crazy scene that is there. When you visit Pattaya, or if you live here year round, taking a night to see the sights and sounds of this area is something that everyone should do at least once. Plus, if you are really adventurous, stop be and see some of the Ping Pong Pussy shows and you will remember why you like gay guys.

  7. Congrats to our winner Expat! Amazing photos everyone! I really enjoyed all the bums this month.
  8. Since California Wow is now closed and all are screwed out of their money by the company, Pattaya has few options left. I did visit Fairtex and it was nice with a pool and gym and Muay Thai classes. The prices were reasonable and I have the information should anyone want to know. But, I have stayed at the Marriott many nights and I love the place and the gym is nice. I inquired about their fitness center membership and was told it was 38,000 baht per year. They didn't say if they had any specials. I am curious if anyone has ever joined this place? Do they have other specials during the year?
  9. The boys and I love this place. Yesterday, we spent 3 hours there and they had beer and drinks and I enjoyed the pool. I'd like to say I kicked their ass... but, they apparently have more time on their hands to perfect their snooker skills than I do.
  10. For anyone coming to Pattaya, you need to go to see the Sanctuary of Truth temple. It is beautiful. I have seen it several times and always enjoyed it. I have also rented a boat for a day or two over the years and love the view of this place from the ocean. It is stunning. My photos don't do it justice, but we hope you enjoy. http://www.sanctuaryoftruth.com/ http://en.wikipedia....ctuary_of_Truth
  11. Nothing has changed in the forum software. It is the same. Are you sure you are searching ALL forums as opposed to inside one thread?
  12. Few things get better with age. Like good wine and in this latest incarnation, Bond... James Bond 007. Superman. Super Hero. Super Handsome. You learn more about his life and history and IMHO get a view of his vulnerabilities in this movie. I was disappointed in the lack of gadgets but it was still a very very good Bond movie. It was a bit slow for me for an hour and then picked up. I loved the last 30 and the final scene. Looking forward to the next one.
  13. Another great report Firecat. Thanks. How much longer as you in Bangkok? Do you have plans to go to my favorite massage place Hero? Tomorrow is Friday and they usually have a great group then. If you do, try Duc, as he is amazing massage and everything you like in a guy.
  14. Sometimes not having a great deal of money for decoration makes for a creative Interior Decorator. The boys and I spent the afternoon at a pool hall. I love Billiards and I have to admit, I suck. But, I love it. These were on the top of the ceiling and I thought that was pretty clever. But, perhaps I just had too much beer to and thought anything was pretty at that point of the afternoon.

  16. No boy has ever stayed with me without going to school. It is a requirement. I refuse to just let a guy live with me and do nothing. I work hard and I play hard. I feel those I am supporting should do the same. If not, they need to move on. The boy's father did get an education and finished his high school. He has been deciding which school to go to and it is not the school I would choose but that is up to him. As long as he is pursuing his education I won't dictate how he pursues it. The other guy living me for a long time also finished high school and is currently enrolled in college. Both of these guys have been sent to AUA language school for MANY terms and had tutors. I have no problem paying for an education for them or their girlfriends/wives/children. To me, there is no better investment. As to the 9 year old, I can put my foot down and the boyfriend will make his son go to the school I want. The boyfriend has easily let his mother borrow over 1 million baht over the past few years and with that comes a price. The price may be that the BF's decisions count more than anyone elses. IMHO that is the way it should be but it is hard to tell a Thai boy that. A few years back, I had another problem with the BF and we ended up splitting up for about 2 months. I cut him off completely and the 100,000 baht or so I left to him was gone almost overnight. When the mother found this out, she too kicked him out and said he needed to find a source of income. He realizes who she is and what she wants. He is a smart guy and should he set his foot down, it will happen. That said, I don't feel I should do this without having a consensus. I am working hard to building that up. First, I think I'll get him a tutor to help with his school. Yes, as the boy goes to school 60 miles from me, most likely that money will be wasted or drank up in whiskey. But, it shows I am willing to help. Next year, I have already spoken to the boyfriend about a private school. We can't just uproot him now as it is the middle of the school year. But, if I can get the BF on board with what I want, the rest of the family will follow. I agree with many of the things said in this thread and I appreciate the advice. One of the main reasons I post on this forum is that from time to time, I really do need some input from those that have been or are in a similar situation. When that happens, I find I get lots of "food for thought" and this case was no exception. Thanks to everyone that gave advice both on the board and in private. Education is very important in my life and it raised me out of poverty. I grew up very poor and not unlike many Thais with no hope of getting out of that life. Luckily, I was smart enough to make opportunities happen and put my life on the path where I could get a full scholarship in school and then a few graduate years. It saved my life. Perhaps it will not do the same for every guy that lives with me but I try my best to give them that opportunity as I know how valuable it was for me.
  17. Bangkok is an amazing city and I love it at night. Thanks for your photo of the day!
  18. haha OK. I was talking to Firecat yesterday as he saw my review and I told him I planned on eating at the Hilton every day. I said, "Hell, for 12.00 USD it is really cheap." He said it was more like 18.00 and not 12.00. I did the calculations and he was right. So, perhaps I won't eat there as often as I was planning. I guess I am just not good with numbers.
  19. I wrote about having breakfast there yesterday and I enjoyed it. I wanted others who are considering the hotel to see a video of the fabulous top of the hotel roof top pool. I think it is lovely and have been there a few times to swim and enjoyed it. It is no where near as big as the Marriott's pool but it does have a nice view.
  20. The boys and I spent the day today at the Sanctuary of Truth Temple in Pattaya. Is pretty amazing. The Sanctuary of Truth is a gigantic wooden construction which covers the area of more than two rais. The building was constructed according to ancient Thai ingenuity and every square inch of the building is covered with wooden carve sculpture.
  21. You are correct sir! Here is another from our trip today.
  22. You know he goes home to see his girlfriend one night every week. Would that not make it impossible to do EVERY night?
  23. My apologies to everyone. I have just been informed via PM that my information is not factual. From the PM, Thailand has slipped to No. 3 for export. I did not fact check that information either as I would hate to state something that is not accurate so I'll let you all do your own checks. Thank you to my secret admirer for the information. I have asked the BF to spank me for being naughty and not providing good information.
  24. This is my photo for the day. Can you guess where it was taken? Hint: It is in Pattaya.
