Gay Thailand Forum Board Updates and New Features

You use phpbb right? Here is their latest update info: "We are pleased to announce the release of phpBB "Bertie's long summer vacation" 3.0.11. This version is a maintenance release fixing a number of bugs and not adding any new features. We've improved compatability with PHP 5.4 further and added a warning about the minimum PHP version required to upgrade to phpBB 3.1 to warn users of old PHP installations. We urge you to update your installation as soon as possible. Our support team will only support phpBB 3.0.11, updates to phpBB 3.0.11 and conversions to phpBB 3.0.11. Submissions to our trackers for older versions will not be accepted, please make sure you update before you submit a bug report." So, I wonder if reading this you can find one or two good reasons to upgrade the version? If you can't, there is NO HOPE FOR YOU in this discussion. -
One of my absolute favorite shows on TV is back again for another season. Sons of Anarchy is here and the first episode had more excitement that most shows do in one season. Looking forward to the full season!

The first 2 sentences are appreciated. Thank you kind sir. The last one borders on a personal attack. We know how intelligent and articulate GayButton is or he would not have a site filled with great information. Please be careful not to start something and leave all baggage at the door. -
I saw a great deal at the JW Marriott for one day this week for a room and breakfast for under 3,000 baht. I wanted to wait to sure of some dates before I booked and went back the next day and it was gone! You snooze, you loose. I called them and they said it was a one day only sale.

There was a setting in the admin that limited me to getting more than 100 messages. I have now changed this to unlimited and can now receive messages. It was not due to the upgrade. It is now fixed and thaiworthy, you can now send me a message. -
Gay Thailand Forum Board Updates and New Features

LOL, is there where I say you don't know what you are talking about again? You have said this for years. You obviously don't get it so I'm going to add it to your I Don't Get It List. For my I don't get it list, I'm going to start by saying I don't get how anyone who runs a board does not understand the need to update its software when new updates come out. Most of the time this is for security and vulnerabilities fixes. As I have spelled out the need for this to you on multiple occasions, I'll pass on attempting once again. But, it is important to have updates to the software and the issue with Scooby not getting PM's is not new with this update. It is a setting in the Admin that he has to fix. He is trying to fix this. It is not because of the update. -

The same thing happened to me as well when I tried. I just tested again and it worked. -
We have upgraded the forum to the newest version of Invision Power Board. With this new update, we have enabled the "like" system for users who see a post and they like that post, they are able to click "like" just like on other Social Media sites. I hope that you enjoy the new features that come with the board. We tried to keep everything the same as before and make the transition smooth. We are also meeting with a graphic designer in a week to come up with a better homepage. A member suggested that the look of the homepage is not conducive to getting member participation on the boards and the site. We listen to our members and we will improve the homepage very soon. We are also working on some ideas that would help us to keep our City Guides more up to date and current. We realize that this in important to the site and any suggestions members may have would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I always tell the boyfriend that he can check my computer, phone, emails, etc anytime he wants. I also tell him I expect the same courtesy. The reason for this for me is that I don't really care if he is having sex with someone else as long as he is being honest. The honest factor is a big deal for me and once broken it is hard if not impossible to regain. I'll often ask the boyfriend who he is talking to (in Thai) and he will tell me a friend or his mother. I smile and arch my eyebrows and he hands me the phone and says, say hi to mama. I say hi and then he smiles and arches his eyebrows knowing that I was burned. He has done this 1000 times over the years and I can't imagine what he spends 2 hours talking with mama for, but he does. I can barely talk to someone for 2 minutes without wanting to hang up but he loves it.

Luckily, I have little problems with this as I do travel frequently but I do remember my first big trip years ago in Amsterdam and I could not find the right flight and was begging airport people to help me. I was so nervious. That has been many years back and I rarely travel on different airlines so I usually know exactly where to go. I am sure that it is confusing for many when they see all of this. I was just talking to Delta last night and they were trying to tell me my flight would stop in South Korea. I thought odd and asked what airline and they said Korean Air. LOL They are the ones I wanted to book with initially but they were over 2k more than what I paid the last time. This time, I booked with Delta from a US airport other than LA (where the Korean Air originates) and I got the ticket for less than Korean Air sold to me last time and less than what they were asking for this time and I got a good flight out of my family area so it was a Win Win for me. I will NEVER fully understand why all this is so complicated and difficult. I with it was so simple.

I got the NY Times cheap by subscribing to the Large Print edition. I have this sent to a friend and I then get the online for free. I think there was a special for like 1.00 USD per week. So, for me, also totally worth it. Like Lucky, I had trouble with the print versions being to small to enjoy the read but the Online is easy for me. I much prefer the print but it is a struggle and traveling to much, I like constant access to NY Times and LA Times. I really wanted to do the Wall Street Journal but the RM factor swayed me against it this go around. If they sell it, I'll be an instant subscriber.

Fantastic letter. I loved every word. Thank you for sharing!

Chehon is who I am rooting for so we will see next week if he makes it all the way. I am so happy he is in the finals. I do think other dancers were better than some of the top 4 but this always happens when America has all the power. I think all shows should be a balance of the votes from audience and the judges.

http://www.zinio.com/ I also created a little video to show you but it is small on YouTube. On my big screen it is incredible. I looked for a video from them to show you but didn't find one so I did one for you to see. Not a pro video but I hope it gets the point across.

I subscribe to over 20 magazines but through Zinio. It is the exact magazine cover to cover in a very easy to use Adobe Air version. I love reading it this way as it reminds me of the magazines I use to read back in my youth. I don't really subscribe to any news magazines that way as the 20 or so I do subscribe to are more for entertainment purposes. Do others use Zinio? It looks beautiful on a large scree!

I notice that Lucky posts links to the Wall Street Journal. I assume he must have a subscription to that. I have two subscriptions now: one to the New York Times and one to the Los Angeles Times. I do not yet subscribe to the Wall Street Journal but when it was free, it was a daily stop. What online news subscriptions do you have?

http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/hktkl-jw-marriott-khao-lak-resort-and-spa/ Travel Zoo is offering this for 89 per night. I am thinking of going there. Would I get my night credits and points if I book with a coupon bought from them?

http://www.democraticunderground.com/10021285767 Read the blue. It is just too funny. Typical Bill.

Last night was a great success! At my Hilton Head Island Hotel which normally plays Fox News in the AM, they were all talking about how amazing Bill was last night. I just hope that it was enough to get his base off their ass and into the voting booths! Bill is THE man. No one else in either party can do what he does as well as he does it. Love the man. Hate the man. It doesn't matter. You can't rightly say that he is not captivating and perhaps one of the best orators of this generation. He can handle a crowd better than any I know. I had to pee early on and like when I see a great movie, I just held it in until the end. I didn't want to mix one word, one hand gesture or one smile.

This has to be one of the best things I have seen. You really know how to make us visualize things don't you? LOL Thanks for the update on Meio Mundo.

I have been in many of these hotels. I will tell them that I need all the stuff removed from the Fridge and they have always done that. I then put my stuff in it. I had one hotel who refused and I sent an email to the manager and got another fridge delivered the next day that was empty and not associated with their electronic system. There are always ways around these things. But, I would never do this for just one night. I am usually in hotels for a longer time and I refuse to pay the prices they charge. One benefit of the Intercontinental for their top tier members is that they give you the minibar for free. Everything in it is complimentary. But, I only drink Diet Soda and Sprite so they don't have to give me a lot. When the BF is traveling with me, he will drink more.

FH, for noise, I use a White Noise app for my computer and IPad. I love it. I turn it up enough just to block all outside noise and I sleep like a baby. For me, the Internet speed is of primary importance. I have checked out more for this than anything. I need a good speed and when I don't get a true high speed, I feel I am wasting my time. I also like getting points for any hotel I stay at. I know this means I pay much more than normal hotels but in the end it is worth it for me. I have an upcoming trip to Brazil and the rates are over 600-800 USD for each night at the nice hotels but I get to use the points I have accumulated over the last year and stay for almost a month for totally free! I love it. I really need a fridge in a room. I like to have gatorade or Powerade and I want it cold. Most hotels have a full mini bar and if it costs me money, I'll empty it out and fill in with my own stuff. Saves a ton of money. I prefer a high floor. I like a room with a view even though I don't look at very much, I like to know it is there.
