  1. I am glad to see your first post. Welcome. I can tell that your response was in no way a promotion of the site and seems very fair and balanced. I like the site. I think they have done a good job with it and wish them much luck and success. However, they are not a new site. They have been around a bit. But, I am glad you found them and look forward to seeing more postings from you on other topics. Welcome.
  2. The boyfriend is getting ready to go back to weekend school to get his degree. It costs about 1k baht a semester for him and that includes books. Next year will be his last and then it is off to college. He is 23 and has made up 4 years of high school in the last 2. There are many others that do these schools all over the country. I think most of them start in May. If not registered, it is still possible for others to register but they may have to pay a bit of a "fee" to the teacher to get them enrolled late. I do not think there is a better way to do something good for a Thai guy than to send them to school if that is what they want to do. Many of them do but they are not given the opportunity.
  3. OK. Who knows what the deal is with the pool party? Anyone been there before? Going this year? What are the dates? times? Is this a weekend thing or one night?
  4. I saw Street Kings tonight. It was not great and pretty fucking predictable. I have always like Keanu Reeves since he did the gay movie My Own Private Idaho. I loved the scene in that movie with him and River Phoenix. Plus, the director of that movie is one of my all time favorites.
  5. Had a great time with the guys on the boards and with a few hotties. There were fewer working boys there than I hoped for but Brandon did a great job at entertaining everyone. Thanks for letting me know about this Townie!
  6. I haven't heard of this movie. Is it on DVD or in the theatre? The last one I saw at the movie that I really liked was 21. I loved the plot and Kevin Spacey has always been a hottie. On DVD, I enjoyed Juno as I missed it when it was on at the theatre and really did enjoy it on DVD.
  7. Well, Pennsylvania gave her yet another glimmer of hope.
  8. The USD sucks in Thailand and the exchange rate on my last trip was really disappointing. My recent trip to Brazil was no better. The USD sucks just about everywhere or so I thought. CNN did a nice survey of some places where the dollar is still strong. 2 places I want to visit this year are on the list. Vietnam and Argentina http://money.cnn.com/galleries/2008/pf/080...neymag/?cnn=yes
  9. Spending a great deal of time overseas, I really do appreciate value for the dollar and I have not been getting much of it in recent years. The USD sucks everywhere. Or, so I thought. Here are some places the dollar is still strong. http://money.cnn.com/galleries/2008/pf/080...neymag/?cnn=yes
  10. OK. What time is this Hamburger Mary's gig? Where do people meet? What is the address?
  11. I think I read that Obama has raised one quarter of a billion dollars. What does this mean for others who want to be President? No one that can't raise that kind of money can't be President. I see this as a major problem as those that are best qualified (Dennis Kucinich) can't raise that kind of money. Is there not a more fair method to do this?
  12. I have voiced my support for her in the past but I am now feeling that she has too much to overcome to get the nomination. I am just not sure that she can do it even if she wins Pennsylvania really big. I wonder if the end is in sight and if so, how far she will take this?
  13. I still just love this show. It is a weekly must for me.
  14. I saw the new movie 88 Minutes yesterday and enjoyed it. It was interesting and full of suspense. I enjoyed the show but did think that the story could have been a bit better. I knew the "who done it" early on but perhaps just a lucky guess. From Fandango: Al Pacino stars as Dr. Jack Gramm, a college professor who moonlights as a forensic psychiatrist for the FBI. When Gramm receives a death threat claiming he has only 88 minutes to live, he must use all his skills and training to narrow down the possible suspects, who include a disgruntled student, a jilted former lover, and a serial killer who is already on death row, before his time runs out. http://www.fandango.com/88minutes_85769/movieoverview?date=
  15. Anyone have any good experiences with this place? Thai Massage House 6767 W.sunset blvd. L.A. CA 90028 Tel : 323 461 6767
  16. Thanks guys. Keep the ideas coming. I plan to try the Hamburger Mary's if I am still here. Never been there and it sounds fun. Always wanted to see JimRay so perhaps I'll get a chance on this trip. Also, I hear Ethan Evans is coming to town.
  17. LOL. Well, I'm not sure anything would get me into enough shape to take on all the ones I wanted.
  18. Just returned from a few weeks in the great city of Sao Paulo. It is amazing and wonderful. I love the city and the people. This time I stayed at the Renaissance Hotel. It is close to the Jardines area which is full of great shops and restaurants. It is a fantastic area. It is also very gay friendly and tons of gays live there and play there. The boys at LaGoa were fun and lively most night. Fragata was full on Saturday and Sundays were better. Alterosas is the best on Saturday afternoon. I was a little more adventurous this time around and played a great deal in the gay park at night. I met some great guys there and some hot ones. You MUST be careful if you pick up someone from the park as it is dangerous and there have been many problem there with robbing and murders over the years. I had no problems but I always pick a sweet face. I spent the majority of my time at LaGoa and really did have some fun there. I learned one thing that I need to remember. That is when you want a massage only, ask the Massagista instead of the boys. Even though they say they can massage, they suck. Literally. They all preferred sex to an hour massage and the 3 I asked for this all sucked. I think the scene in Sao Paulo is fun and the malls are full of hot boys. The saunas do get some hotties but the streets are great too if you have traveled there and are adventurous. My best guy was someone that no longer works the saunas but came in to see me every day or two. He just takes my breath away every time I see him. His top ONLY personality usually turns me off but something about his smile and his liveliness turns me into his bitch. LOL The guys there are the best sex on earth. I have found few that aren't passionate and amazing.
  19. I am in LA for a bit on business and wanted to see who the hot boys are here. Any recommendations? Any dinners planned for the diner? Any hooker events coming up? Please enlighten me.
  20. What is happening with the Birdcage? Is it still there? Is Kevin's partner keeping it going? Mark is the creative talent behind it and I hope that he keeps things running. Any news?
  21. As a Northwest flyer for years, I am glad to see this merger. I wonder how this will effect travel to and from Thailand? I know NWA is strong over the Pacific and this won't affect me that much but do wonder how it will affect others. Last trip, I took the Thai Airways flight from JFK nonstop and I loved it. It was long and tiresome but it did save a few hours and quite a bit of money. NWA has increased its fares for upgradable tickets from USA to over 3500 on most flights when last year it was only 2300. They keep bumping up that fare you need in order to upgrade that it finally drove me to Thai. I was glad it did.
  22. One of my favorite cities in Thailand. http://travel.nytimes.com/2008/04/13/trave...html?ref=travel
  23. We are working on revamping the City Guides area to make it more accurate. We have changed the initial information for Pattaya, Chiang Mai and Bangkok and are working on the others. We are also working to remove all of listings that are no longer in existence. Any other suggestions you have for us on this area, please let us know.
  24. A good point was made about the part at the end of each review that says Was this Review Helpful or Not. We have now limited this to logged in members only and only one vote per person. I hope this helps with some of the "playing" that goes on with some of the reviews.
  25. Just doing a Google search of this poem, there are tons of articles. I was an English Literature and Creative Writing double major. The Internet was not available then. I do wonder how my education would have been different in the "Information Age." Would I have relied on it as my major source of information? How much more common is plagiarism today? Lastly, I paid my way through undergrad school, grad school and law school by writing my classmates papers. I would not be a needed commodity thanks to the Internet and I would not have been able to afford to go to university.
