  1. Don't tell me you are one of those people that believe in global warming. In the USA right now, there is a massive snow storm. It is very cold. Global warming can't exist as when Trump looks out his window he sees snow.
  2. The truth is that business currently is the langage that most speak for business matters. However, that is changing and Chinese will become that language in the future. We a native English speaker, I am happy I can be understood most places I go but I never get upset when I can't be understood. And, people who travel and EXPECT others to speak English are fools.
  3. My research days are done. However, if I find a source that requires that a poster citing another reliable (NOT Fake News) source to find the source of the original article's source, then I can source that back to you and we will share the resources together. jk Like everything else, most new articles are not fully cited like research articles. I remember my days back in law school where everything had to be sourced correctly or you completely failed a class. However, I know you are not from the USA and may not know that the new standard is to just keep repeating things and they become fact. So, Bangkok is now one of the 10 most polluted cities on earth ever. I am not stating this as fact, but I heard it, and people were saying, so it must be true. Sorry. There I go again. IMHO, Bangkok is getting more polluted each year. I feel it. I see it. And, the last week confirmed that there is a big problem here. It was not that way on my first visit. Does that mean I'll move? No. It just means I adjust things accordingly. Like Scooby, I know the solutions exist but I also know we are not moving fast enough in that direction.
  4. Did you read the NYTimes article I linked? (paragraph 7) I also read in the Bangkok Post about the Sathorn area being really bad. Also, I have had 5 friends sick from this in the last week. True, not proof but adding it all up only makes sense to me. I know other places are also going to get worse. But, IMHO, Bangkok, and Thailand need more regulation to control this. I drive and I see too many trucks blowing out black fumes every time I drive. It has an effect.
  5. Bangkok just cracked the list of the top 10 worst. But, yes, only for now. But, having been here for years and as you said, this is the worst you have seen it. Me too. But, also, the traffic and congestion and construction never slow. I do not see this as getting better for the long term. I only see the trend to continue and things to continue to worsen.
  6. My favorite is The Smokin Pug. Best BBQ in Thailand. For Thai Food, I like simple like Cabbages and Condoms.
  7. Sorry, there is a difference between Grabr and Grab Taxi.
  8. The city has become one of the most polluted in the world. Schools closed for 2 days and reports of many roads being closed to impede traffic. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/01/30/world/asia/pollution-thailand-bangkok.html
  9. Can you attach a screen shot here?
  10. I am showing for you Z: PM notification set to instant Favorite Notifiaction => yes Subscription Email => yes Chat notification => yes
  11. I have had 4 different friends use this service and say it was flawless. You order something from the USA and someone traveling to Thailand picks it up and brings to Thailand on their plane. They meet you and you get the merchandise and they get paid via their credit card. It is MUCH cheaper than Amazon and tariffs plus shipping. https://grabr.io
  12. Yes. It may take a log out and in which is also automatic.
  13. Sorry koko, I just assumed everyone knew him. Here he is.
  14. Fabulous report and I am enjoying each one!
  15. Thank goodness! I was beginning to worry about my gaydar. It gets a bit iffy as my age increases and my eyesight decreases.
  16. Question: Would a Lucky Presidency offer tax incentives to consumers of working guys in order to encourage economic growth?
  17. Glad you made the leap. Also, did I hear you say DivineMadman is a lesbian? I have met him and had no idea. jk but see how rumors get started.
  18. It may be a log in issued and your permissions were changed due to being logged out. However, this should not cause the browser to shut down. I did email Invision support and they said they no issues have been reported about this. I only use Firefox and never had this happen. However, sometimes when I have so many tabs open, it happens. But, that is based on my system and not the board software.
  19. Wow. I thought it was the Cross-Dressing Men's eXpo. Was I wrong?
  20. I think he was being tongue and cheek. However, if not, someone has way too much time on their hands.
  21. Also, please do not equate the idea of money went spent for a Thai as the same as Western. We are not the same and priorities are different. To suggest that a Thai money boy invest is laughable. Again, exceptions. However, when money or items pass hands, all ownership is over and whatever one wants to do with their money is up to them. Some of our friends call us all fools for spending time and money in LOS. Again, my money, my choices.
  22. IMHO, the post was intended to be a lesson for all. And, regardless of the direction of this thread, the relevance is still here. Do not go into situations where money is involved and think that love and loyalty are the rewards. Once a relationship is about money, it is always about money. Are there exceptions. Sure. But, some do get struck with lightning as well. I have a friend that fell in love with an escort in the USA. He gave up everything for him including going to jail for the issues of needing more money. That was even after I warned him not to fall in love and that once about money, it is always about money. People think they can be the exception. They can't. I can't. You can't. No one can. I know this. I accept this. I get what I can and am happy. When not happy, I need to change. That change is hard.
