We had a thread a few months ago about BBB trying it on and it seems they still are. Yesterday I was quoted 500 baht for a boy drink and told them to fuck off. You should do the same brall. I suspect it may be something to do with their large Asian customer base ( there were only 4 Falang in there for the show). Perhaps they are trying to emulate Dreamboys BKK.

Not sure I agree. It could turn Boyztown into a copy of Soi Twilight, with high prices and predominantly Asian visitors. The Farangs may be edged out. Not good.

Copa had hardly any boys on stage and the few there were nothing to write home about. That and their boring show has done them in, if indeed they are closing. What about the other parts of the business, hotel and massage? The only time there was anybody in the bar was during the show. Makes me wonder how Casro intend to make it work as their model is more or less the same but will now be in a far more expensive bar. They too are empty except during showtime. Are Cupidol really moving into Boyztown? I find that difficult to understand, they are not exactly the most bustling gogo bar in town.

Bottle prices obviously vary depending on location and type of drink. Toyboys in Pataya charge 1800 Bt for a bottle of Red Label with unlimited free mixers. I dread to think what the shark at Dreamboys in BKK robs you for!

i have been to Phuket 3 or 4 times and only today returned from another trip. But was with straight friends. You will find a gay scene but very much smaller than anything in Pattaya or Bangkok. yes there are some (not many) gogo bars. It revolves around one small street opposite the Royal Paradise Hotel. That would be the place I would stay, as it is very convenient and maybe more used to gay visitors. It is also very nice indeed. All the other hotels/resorts are geared up to straights and, certainly in the place I HAD (!) to stay in last week you would look seriously out of place. There are of course a few dedicated gay hotels. Phuket is a lot cleaner and nicer than BKK or Pattaya. It makes a refreshing change and the driving is far better too! Tuk Tuks are more expensive but they are clean and modern. Have fun if you go but don't expect the same gay scene as Pattaya. The beaches are lovely and you may even consider getting in the water in Phuket!
