I have loved my dentist at Bangkok Pattaya, but now that I am in Bangkok, I prefer to move over to a dentist here.  Any suggestions on good dental centers?

I recently switched to Bangkok International Dental Center and have been very happy with them (including a recent extraction/crown).  I used to go to Bangkok Dental Hospital but found they became very aggressive at upselling and adding on additional extra charges without explanation.  I think you get comparable care at the two.

Soi Convent, not Covenant lol. BNH is very nice and luxurious - and expensive. Been there a few times for other things, the charges were really high. 1500 Baht for applying a small bandage to a finger (plus multiple other charges amounting to a total bill of over 5000 for a visit that took 5 minutes max. I don't mind as it is still within a range I'd pay in my (former) home country, just struck me as high by Thai standards. 

 

Anyway, back to topic: I usually go to Dr. Smile, either of their two branches (Silom Road, near Patpong, and on Saladaeng no more than 100m in from Silom, i.e. well before Senso). But then again, I never had any serious issues, just went for cleaning several times already, and once they filled a minor hole they found in the process. All seemed good to me.

I can second what anddy says about Dr Smile, used them few times including one more serious issue and  all worked well and compare to my home country standards very cheap  ( 1/3 of price )

Third for what the guys said about Smile, I went to the one on Saladaeng and at the finish was very happy with their work and price. I paid about A$600 for what would have cost around A$1800 back home for all the work I had done

Since my experiences were so different, I signed in to say so. Dr. Smile- unfriendly place with prices near those in the US. Info from 3 years ago, so take it wherever.

More recently, we had the hotel call a doc for us in the middle of the night a couple of weeks ago. She arrived with two assistants in tow. The problem was just serious enough to go to the hospital (BNH). When we left the hotel, I noted the ambulance had brought the doc and friends in the first place, and had the driver and another assistant in waiting!

Short hospital stay- less than an hour, I'd guess. Bill in US dollars: about $175. For everything! Find a US doc who makes a house call in the middle of the night, goes with you to the hospital, and charges less than the escort who just left!
