Dick's Cafe

Featured Replies

There are no answers for Dicks or Maxis yet. They will be hurt the most. Much of their business is driven by the gogo’s and bars. With so many restaurant options in Bangkok, hard to think they will relocate unless they find the perfect place,

Any available places in or around Silom soi 4? I haven't been down that soi in a long time but if there is space it would be the logical choice

When I was last in bkk in December, learned that Lucas (of Dick's and Tarntawan Apartments) had returned to his home country of Switzerland to work on a six-month contract. Lucas is an old Bangkok hand and has been on the soi for a few decades or more. If he's around I'm sure he'd be able to fill you in. The veteran  manager at Dick's could also be a good info source.

Not much space in Soi 4 . There are many restaurants there now. Would be hard to open a new one and be successful.

The premises opposite Sphinx (or whatever it is called now) has been available for years as has the old Noriega shop-house.

Just remembered it was Bobby's Arms and was a useful short cut through to Patpong 2.
