May 3, 20188 yr Sky Boy beer bar and restaurant is adjacent to Double Shot Boy Bar. Unfortunately, it’s located on the dark side of Sunee. There are about 4 host boys usually. The Corsican owner is a chef and cooks several different French dinners nightly. I’ve enjoyed several very good meals there. The boys are a motley crew, friendly. Sky Bar nicely renovated.
May 3, 20188 yr I went there many times and never seen a food menu or anything saying they serve food so had no idea. They need to advertise this more clearly. I will try the food next time
May 4, 20188 yr There is a menu posted at the entrance and nearby is a table set up with a bottle of wine. Very inviting.
December 8, 20187 yr Sky bar is the latest bar in Sunee to close down. That soi had become even more dark last night without Sky bar. I don't know the owners plans but I would believe that if he opened a bar in Jomtien complex it would be successful.

December 9, 20187 yr I just heard that he has closed ! Omg , im sad Alain was a wonderful host that worked hard nearly every night in his bar to entertain and most times he had a crowd . I guess the lease must of been up because i cant see he would stop trading as high season is approaching. The only negative feedback i got about Alain’ s bar was higher drink prices but hey , it came with Alains jokes & fun and not to forget his hugs , so it was worth paying more !!!! I guess he may retire now . Best of luck Alain, love you ❤️
December 9, 20187 yr Reading the other forums where they are blaming the apps for the downfall of Sunee Plaza, i disagree !!! Jomtien complex destroyed sunee , the complex when i was there even during the low season was still busy and sometimes i couldnt even get a seat in @ home bar. The Sunee landlord could of promoted it more,offered less rent,longer leases etc, dont blame the apps Remember a lot of expats moved to Jomtien as development started , going all the way to sunee is a pain when they the complex on their doorstep So more expats live in Jomtien now than the past, The Jomtien complex has changed in the last 5 years or so to be a newly created gay area , they seem to be a cohesive group , even the Landlords let them paint the complex into gay colours . Even this was predicted by many 10 years ago, i remember many posters writing this on the sawatdee forum. Years ago who remembers the SPI, the Sunee Plaza Initiative , a group who were trying to promote the plaza As i just said I do blame the Landlord in some way , they could of promoted it more, they could if even had some say in stopping the then weekly police raids It seems the Sunee Landlord gave up on giving people long leases so that was a demise in itself .

December 9, 20187 yr Really sad news .. .Always my start off bar in Sunee .. Alain was from Corsica, and always joking. Often telling me it was not my fault that i am English ..Lol Really hope that he resurfaces somewhere ..

He seemed well known and popular and almost like he was a regular to both bars. This was about 10/1030 when his own bar was open. The comment was made that if Alain did ever close his bar he would do exceptionally well in Jomtien Complex. Maybe he was more than socialising that night. There are only a handful of bars with extrovert owners. Be interesting to see what develops.

Yep, Alain was a great cook , great company ...and ........a great dishwasher !They say some are better at washing dishes than cooking !
December 30, 20187 yr Author Alain had a Christmas in July party this year complete with decorated Xmas trees and Santa outfits. I wonder if he knew his bar would be closed before this Christmas. Fortunately, Farang boss in next door bar, Double Shot , hosted a lavish Christmas party, complete with free superb buffet. It was well attended and a fun night in Sunee Plaza..
