Thailand could see 10% more rainfall than usual during this year's rainy season with Andaman coastal provinces and eastern areas being warned of particularly heavy downpours, says the Thai Meteorological Department (TMD).

 

Thailand officially enters the rainy season this week due to the influence of southwesterly winds. The country will likely see above-average rainfall overall this year and he warned people across the country to expect torrential rain this month and in September and October. However, the rain will be lighter or it may even be relatively dry from June to August.

All I ask is that it doesn't rain on June 5th until after 10pm 

Ive been lucky enough not to be stucked in any rainy day the 6 days im in bangkok last week, though with the exception of my first day there, it has been cloudy all days

My annual sojourn this year will be the months of July and August... I am expecting to be drenched by rain at 4pm every day and by perspiration the rest of the time.

 

But yet, every year I am there...
