November 26, 201015 yr Active Members Do you suppose she is from the 57th state? She must be from somewhere cool if she can see Russia from her back porch, therefore it must be one of those states over the usual 50 that BO mentioned while running. No one is immune from gaffes such as this but it certainly would be "comforting" if they were, wouldn't it? I suspect this is exactly why BO wants the teleprompter so he can avoid most of these. He certainly isn't stupid or ill informed, maybe misinformed but that is a different topic. I am no fan of MS. Palin. I am wishing for a candidate to rise head and shoulders above the rest. I suppose I will take just a "hair" above. Best regards, RA1
November 26, 201015 yr Active Members I look forward to her running for president. I forsee no end of entertainment value here. Unfortunately, I think she really wants to keep making money and recieve that adoration that comes to those who dont have to get their hands dirty in a campaign. She is shallow but not stupid. She loves the limelight and the money. Who wouldn't?
November 27, 201015 yr Active Members . . . I forsee no end of entertainment value here. ≈ ≈ ≈ Sarah Palin on Ice ≈ ≈ ≈
November 27, 201015 yr I watched tonight on 20/20 the Barbra Walters Thanksgiving interview with the Obamas from the White House. The only thing that galled me was that they included two clips of Palin. One from an interview that Walters did recently where Palin said she thought se could beat BO in '12, and another one where she was shown behind a podium stirring up the crowd and presumably earning her $75 k for doing so. If the media would just ignore the cunt she would be a non-issue. If she gains traction in the next two years we will have nobody to blame but the damn 24 hour news outlets.
December 2, 201015 yr It was reported on the news yesterday that "Dancing With the Stars" is trying to recruit TOD Palin, (the cuntess's husband) for their next season. Will it never end?
December 3, 201015 yr Active Members It was reported on the news yesterday that "Dancing With the Stars" is trying to recruit TOD Palin, (the cuntess's husband) for their next season. Will it never end? It's TV and all about ratings. They had 3.3 million more viewers this season with Bristol Palin and all the media attention they got from all the news channels, blogs, websites, etc... As for the stuff Palin says, too bad the media does not jump on all of Biden's misspeaks. It is an almost everyday frigging laughing blunder. I agree if the media would just stop putting her up on every little political conversation, she would be making less money and hopefully go away.

December 3, 201015 yr Active Members At least he doesn't tell us he can see Russia from his front porch. But you know what the big importance difference is? Biden is actually an elected offical of this country. His blunders could actually affect your life. Her blunders may cause you to laugh and even add more fuel as to why you hate her but she really can't affect your life.

Her blunders may cause you to laugh and even add more fuel as to why you hate her but she really can't affect your life. And let's hope it stays that way.

Her blunders may cause you to laugh and even add more fuel as to why you hate her but she really can't affect your life. WRONG. It makes me so mad that such a large number of Americans practically worship her that I think it may give me a heart attack.
December 6, 201015 yr Active Members Why is the Russian Press so much better at covering her??? And now she turns not only against the fibre and backbone of her country, but against its democratically-elected President, accusing him of being incompetent for not stopping Wikileaks. Where was she and where was her GOP before and during the 9/11 attacks?

December 7, 201015 yr You guys are surprised that middle America likes a pretty white woman who hates immigrants and gays? Pretty? Would you like to borrow my glasses?
December 7, 201015 yr Active Members I am not about to defend MS. Palin but doesn't anyone see something wrong with pushing the commentary provided by a Russian blogger as being something "great"? Have we gone that far "left"? Mussolini made the trains run on time, but, so what? I do not want to live in a fascist society, on time trains or no. As US voters we are certainly free to provide our own opinions about most anything political (or otherwise). We even give leave for those who are not US citizens to provide their own views, but, should we pay much attention to them? Best regards, RA1
December 7, 201015 yr Active Members It was an Op-Ed in Pravda, not just some random blogger as you imply. Pretending that the rest of the world's opinion of us didn't merit any attention was a Bush/Cheney trademark which the American electorate repudiated. Further, who cares what source the truth? How is it less valid for not having come from Rupert Murdock's media empire? You'd agree they deserve to be dismissed out of hand for being foreign-owned?
December 7, 201015 yr Active Members RE: RM. Yes, at least thinking about what he (and others have to say). I also think the electorate has dismissed what BO and ilk have to say. I am not fond of politicians of any stripe and that includes the media. I did not think it was a random blogger and I don't think much about Pravda regegardless. How could I and why do you? I don't mean this to be personal but just general comments about the situations as they happen. Best regards, RA1
December 8, 201015 yr Active Members Have we gone that far "left"? Your take surprised me a bit too, RA1, and maybe I misunderstood. You've always seemed to me to be a guy who looks at things from all sides, and stays away from pigeonholes. These days, I get most of my news from the internet and have put together a bookmarks folder of various news sites. It's always enlightening to see the same 'news' delivered to different constituents. Can't do it for every issue, of course, but I don't feel comfortable taking a position on something important until I've at least peeked into a range of opinions. And, for me, the wider the range, the better. Thanks to JKane, I just checked my bookmarks to make sure Pravda is there. It is.
December 8, 201015 yr Active Members In choosing both friends and politicians, compassion comes first for me. If they don't have that, we will come no closer. Respect is probably second or third. Compassion and respect are qualities that I have difficulty associating with Sarah Palin. - Somebody go arrest that homeless guy. He must be wanted for something! And check out those two Mexicans too. - The hell I will! Alaska's twice as big as England. That old broad should be curtsyin' to me! Unless it's over drinks with Levi Johnston, Sarah Palin and I will come no closer. It's fun to watch her keep stepping in cow pies and, as others have said, the entertainment value is way up there. But she causes me distress too. Well, not so much her, as the fact that there are tens of millions of my fellow U. S. citizens willing to elect her President and cheer her on as she tears down bridges we've spent decades building up. Can you imagine her negotiating an arms treaty with the Russians? For the next little while, I plan to enjoy her occasional flames, all the time wondering if I would have been one of those Germans in the 1920's laughing at that funny little man with the mustache.

I am not trying to have anyone take the exact same position that I might have but I would like for others to at least read what I have to say, just like I read what they have to say. It should not be a surprise that most "gay" MB's seem to be at least liberal if not very liberal. OK. But that is not the only point of view or the only thing that "works", is it? Just because various posters don't agree politically or otherwise does not mean they are being hateful to one another or don't care what the other(s) have to say, does it? Aren't we willing to have and at least consider every point of view? As before, I am not a fan of Palin, but that is also something I have to say about most, if not all, pols. They suck, at least some of the time. However, they are part of our system and we must limp along as best we can, don't you think? Best regards, RA1
December 8, 201015 yr Active Members lookin'- I read the blog and I read a lot of stuff. Interesting question about 'gay' message boards being liberal. If I had to guess as to why there might be an overlap, it would take me back to compassion. At the risk of another generalization, I find most of the gay men I know to be compassionate. (There are exceptions, of course, and I'm sure we could scare up one or two.) The self-identified liberals I know tend to be compassionate too. I think on this message board, in particular, there are a goodly number of compassionate gay men and it doesn't surprise me at all that many identify themselves as liberals. The question about whether it's the only thing that "works" is a bigger one than I'm going to tackle here two fingers at a time. I can tell you that, for me, a worldview that doesn't include compassion would not work. In my heart, as well as my head, I want everyone to have a healthy and secure social net and if that aligns me with some looney liberal fringe, so be it. Pretending I don't care would not work for me. I tried it once upon a time, and it didn't work well at all. But trying to figure out what works for others, and how, and why, is for me a lifetime's work. It seems pretty clear that those who self-identify as conservative have a viewpoint that works for them. I've heard some refer to themselves as 'compassionate conservatives', but I'm aware of more who could be perceived as non-compassionate conservatives. They seem to do just fine, and are definitely feeling their oats these days. So, yes, I think that viewpoint can work too. However, I do find myself wondering if it will work as well when they eventually find themselves needing the compassion of others. Just because various posters don't agree politically or otherwise does not mean they are being hateful to one another or don't care what the other(s) have to say, does it? Nope. Sure hope I never gave you that impression and am very sorry if I did. Aren't we willing to have and at least consider every point of view? Yep. Willing and eager here. As before, I am not a fan of Palin, but that is also something I have to say about most, if not all, pols. They suck, at least some of the time. However, they are part of our system and we must limp along as best we can, don't you think?Best regards, RA1 Limp. Mince. Lope. Trot. Leap. However we get along. But I don't think we should let them get out too far out of our sight.
