January 26, 201610 yr This post has been quiet for a long time and i want to revive it. Much must have happened in Bulgaria over the last 4 years. Considering the very bad economy in Bulgaria i am surprised that i have not heard more about escort activities over there. I have met a few bulgarian guys in Spain and other countries over the last couple of years and they all had the same bodytype: very muscular but lean, aparently Wrestling is their national sport and hence many guys have an extremely athletic built plus are very masculine. March 18, 20197 yr Active Members I was there in January. It is a nice city but doesn´t offer to much in the way of gay venues. There are no bars or saunas with escorts. Mostly used is planetromeo. I found a nice guy with grindr, but it was just look. It is easier to find a Bulgarian escort in Berlin than in Sofia.

I loved both places and may go back in September. I want to hike the Rhodope Mountains on the Greek border. I didn’t hire while there, but I did hook up with a very hot Israeli soldier! Lots of Israelis go there since the flights from Tel Aviv to Sofia are super cheap. I really enjoyed mingling with them.

I wonder @boiworship if you had to be discreet, or whether you were able to be open, about being gay while you were in Bulgaria? And was there a marked difference in social attitudes towards/acceptance of gays between the capital and the countryside?
April 10, 20197 yr Active Members I didn’t get the sense that there was pronounced homophobia in either of the two largest cities in the country. I imagine that being openly gay in the countryside would elicit some disapproval, as in most countries. There were plenty of obviously gay people in both cities.
