Cutting to the chase about free days, there are downsides to them. The cabins are so heavily booked that you could wait almost an hour and have to make awkward small-talk with your boy instead of, you know, with him. I've tried to entice them to do a semi-public quickie in a corner (it's a personal turn-on) but there must be a house rule against it. The best thing about free cabin days is not the free cabin but the usually abundant in-gathering of talent.

Argentine bife de chorizo any time! The best beef in the world, beef that tastes like beef. Especially at a parrilla al carbon or a las lenas. South Americans are macho and like their beef chewy (and often well-done, another topic), but if your BdC was chain-saw quality, something went very wrong at the ranch or in the kitchen.
There was a restaurant in Amarillo that used to advertise up and down I-40. If you could finish their FIVE-POUND steak (that's 80 oz. for the arithmetically disinclined), it was free. The ambulance, however, would be about $2,000.
Money & cash - This has been an issue on every trip to Argentina. My first was during the hyperinflation of 1989 and before the prevalence of ATMs so you can imagine. As I currently understand it, cash is still king (though the parallel exchange rates have gotten closer), and like everywhere where cash is king, you must bring flawless U.S. currency.
Contramano - the first in a life of many, many good-time money boys. Oh the direction we take from some unsuspecting early step ...

Contramano! I hooked up so many times there when I was in my 30s! Back then it was full of escorts and seekers for sugar daddies that I would hooked up with for free, as I was relatively young and hot. Since I switched my biological clock to DC culture, I have not been able to enjoy Buenos Aires gay night. When it starts, I am already deeply slept. However, the local times are perfect for a self-declared vampire as you.
I am appalled that you did not like bife de chorizo, which is my favorite meat cut. I guess you chose a terrible restaurant, it is usually good and tender even at mediocre establishments.

There's a lot of non-sex travel info for SP here. But in short, it's a tough city to love on the first trip. You have to look beneath the grit and grind and dive into its nooks and crannies and hidden neighborhoods between the massive roadways. As always, the gayborhood (Consolacao) is a fun, conveniently-located neighborhood, and Jardims can be quite pleasant.

Based on my last trip, I don't think I'd be returning to St. Moritz/GEH. The quality of guys is just not what I've gotten accustomed to in Brazil. The facility - a narrow massage table - is terrible. The live sex shows were kind of gross. In the strip show, it was so dark and gloomy you couldn't see the guys' faces. Of the 8-10 guys present, I'd say 2 would have been competitive in a Brazilian sauna. The ads on mileroticos (Col.) do not compare with the ads in garotocomlocal (Braz.).
Should I go back, I'd spend more time on my Tinder. Wow, the gorgeous guys who popped up there. I did not have time to meet with any of them.
The Teatron gay disco complex (an entire city, almost) is packed with thousands, average age seemingly 25. I might try more of my luck there too.

Bangu is not a rundown slum but a quiet working class exurb. There's a pretty shopping mall converted from some old factories. Food out here is notably cheaper but less fancy and quality than down south. My half-hour Uber from Sao Conrado was ~$10US a couple years ago. You can even do a train adventure from the Central station in downtown Rio. It wasn't hard to get to Bangu but a little hard to find Casa Boate. The facility is okay and has a breezy semi-outdoor section. I did not find anyone to my fancy, but my tastes have gotten too caviar and champagne. Let's say these are guys who can't be sure they'll get enough customers in Copacabana to make it worth the trip.

I liked Curitiba ("the Minneapolis of Brazil") but the sauna scene was lacking for me. One of the few times I left a sauna without any fun was in Ctba. The most gorgeous Curitibanos are in Sao Paulo. They're too uptight to work at home.

I agree completely with this scorecard based on my recent trips. Saturday and Sunday are strangely low-key at the Rio clubs. In general, SP and Lagoa are looking better, with more clients and guys. The fashion models aren't back, but the hungsters and steroid guys are. A good sequence might be Thu, Fri, Sat, and Sun in SP, then Mon, Tue, Wed in Rio, continuing through the weekend if you care to.

Zurich would not be a bargain for anything. But "services" in Zurich are still less than in most of the West. I mention Zurich for the slightly different selection you get there: More E. Europeans, if that's your thing, than S. Europeans or Latin Americans. Much more white, though not exclusively so, than BCN or Brazil. Again, if that's your thing.

Are performers of today making more money on OF than performers of yesterday were making off Falcon, Bel Ami, Kristen Bjorn, etc.? ALL of the old porn stars, even huge names like Erik Rhodes, Jason Adonis, Arpad Miklos were rendering up-close-and-personal services. I've had more than one Bjorn star in Barcelona, Rio, and Sao Paulo. After all, that kind of service can't be ripped off by online piracy. I suspect the OF stars of today suffer from online file sharing too, and I've read that the OF income tapers off severely after the fresh-meat novelty passes.
I'll check it out. That site does seem to have the less pretty but more hung (much more, dear god much, MUCH more hung) types that Rhyheim casts.

Any word on when's the busy night at Python?
On the map, it's a short walk from the Sao Joaquim metro station. So although it's a net wash with the closing of 555, it is pragmatically closer than 555 in Pacaembu.
