January 9, 20215 yr Columbia University professor and famed historian Eric Foner writes that instead of impeachment for which there likely is no time, Congress should instead invoke Article 3 of the 14th Amendment barring from office anyone who took an oath to defend the Constitution and who, subsequently, engaged in or encouraged rebellion or insurrection. A simple majority vote. Add to the list: Cruz, Hawley, Johnson, Gaetz, Gohmert... and the list can go on and on. Thoughts?

Two Congressmen, a Taiwanese American immigrant and a gay Jewish/Italian dude wrote the article of impeachment against Mein Trump. You think it rubs salt in his wounds that it's these two that drafted the article?
February 14, 20215 yr I think the Republican Party will wish they voted to impeach in a year or two when they have to give Trump the nomination. If he doesn't get the nomination he will run as an independent and split their vote.

I doubt he would actually run-run again, but he will at least pretend he's running and fund raise and try to be the center of attention for as long as possible, more importantly wielding the power it's assumed he has over his base in the mid-term and primary. It really was a gift for the Republican party, one they were too stupid to take.
