Another one on today's homepage:

OnlyFans Creators Will Not Be Deterred

After the platform’s announcement of a ban on explicit content, many of its stars are feeling the sting of being turned away by a business they helped build. But they’re moving on fast.

From CNN

OnlyFans suspends proposed ban on sexually explicit content

(CNN)OnlyFans said Wednesday that it will suspend its upcoming policy change to restrict sexually explicit material, citing "assurances" it received that would allow it to be "a home for all creators."

"We have secured assurances necessary to support our diverse creator community and have suspended the planned October 1 policy change," the company said in a tweet. "OnlyFans stands for inclusion and we will continue to provide a home for all creators."

Asked by CNN Business whether the announcement means the policy change might take effect at a later date, and whether the company agreed to make any changes to appease banks and allow for this reversal, OnlyFans said: "The proposed October 1, 2021 changes are no longer required due to banking partners' assurances that OnlyFans can support all genres of creators."

The reversal comes just days after OnlyFans announced it would bar creators from posting "content that contains sexually explicit conduct," sparking an outcry among sex workers who had helped create the company's success and popularity. OnlyFans said the changes followed requests by "banking partners and payout providers."

Repeating myself, the article is copyrighted material. Oz, the owner of this site, has been quite clear about the issue of posting copyrighted material on his board. Perhaps someone else can help.

If that is the case, then there are many dozens of posts if not 100s where news media articles are printed along with the link. My understanding is that along as the link is added, there is no issue with material printed in a public source. NYT articles have also been printed in whole or in part.

I disagree. Whenever I travel, the New York Times is my preferred read.

That's fine for you. Not for me, thank you. I have little interest in most of the US news included in the NYT. Sometimes I will check the International NYT which has some its major articles. But try finding a copy in Thailand during lockdown!

Hard to believe that such corporate incompetence could be intelligently calculated and then rewarded, but we do live in the age of Trumpism. People believe what they want to believe.

The social media outcry was so strong against OnlyFans (some of the Twitter feeds were brilliantly written), why would creators embrace such corporate betrayal, especially without an "I'm sorry" in the form of generous monthly discounts? It's the sex workers who built the brand, making the owner filthy rich, and the owner turned on a dime to dump them so quickly, so publicly, for some bank loans and pussy-licking of payout providers. What a joke.

IMO, creators should collectively tell OnlyFans to go fuck themselves and start a huge "cancel" boycott, but I doubt that will happen. So few of these pussies have any self-respect. They don't care if a corporation fucks them in public without lube. It's all about fucking anyway. Look how many escorts supported Jeffrey Hurant after years of gaining wealth by fucking them.

I don't know why any adult provider would stay, this "will they/won't they" will always be in the air and could be incompetently implemented the next time these idiots get some push-back from a bank or CC processor; or sell out; or get some new dipshit MBA on the board.

Their problem was that OnlyFans has an inherently Adult Only reputation.  A YouTuber I watch (innocent car videos) got major pushback when he tried to use it like a Patrion for additional paid car content and had to apologize profusely and run from the platform.

But their other problem is that is the established reputation and that they were making a boat-load of money off it.

So I can see why/how an idiot made the decision--it really reminds me of watching Trump on that stage before he asked about internal sunlight and injecting bleach...

And I doubt they'll ever be the same again.  I'd expect this to leave a bad taste in adult providers mouths and competitors will embrace them, while doing NOTHING to change the reputation of OnlyFans to get more non-adult users, and no chance in hell of IPO.
