Tanee Sangrat, spokesman for the Foreign Affairs Ministry, said on Thursday a new web-based application called the Thailand Pass system, where people can gather information and upload documents, is being developed for the kingdom's Nov 1 reopening. Mr Tanee said the Thailand Pass will replace the CoE system and facilitate the filing of an immigration form known as the TM6 and a health declaration form known as T8. However, the CoEs are still required for certain groups of people, including those who wish to enter the country via land or sea, he said. As for vaccination certification, certificates will be approved online by the Department of Communicable Disease Control under the Public Health Ministry, he said. October 14, 20214 yr There's nothing seriously wrong with the COE web based application. It was certainly better than the dismal app used for my visa application in 2020. I applied for my COE and got it later the same day. OK, they did have a very silly 2-part approvals process, when I actually had all the information to do it in one part. Since the intention is supposedly "simplification", surely all they need to do is decide which requirements are to be removed and remove them ? If they simply rebrand the COE as a Thailand Pass, put in a clunky new web based app and don't change what we have to upload, it would be a waste of time.
October 14, 20214 yr The absolute sheer brilliance and outstanding track record for Thai Gov't apps and websites should never be discounted. They have a special place in history. I am sure this one will be no different.

October 16, 20214 yr My morale was lifted when the UK took Thailand off the Red List; and then further when Thailand (it is suggested) decided to welcome us back. Subsequently, each day has brought further uncertainties, prevarications and threats of even more cumbersome procedures. To put it bluntly, I'm p***** off.
