I’ve been several times this year but haven’t booked a programa in a very long time, since the late 20teens in fact, as I rarely find what’s on offer a good match. 

One of the refreshments servers did somewhat surprisingly whisper in my ear the option of a ‘massage with milk’ which I took to be a new personally delivered signature cocktail with a dairy component, unless he was proxy hustling for “T” the massage therapist about whom I was already quite familiar and seemed to be already engaged with a customer.

Instead I went with a transplanted 117 acompanhante and was arbitrarily assigned the new rather nicely appointed upgrade “master suite”. It showed as 100 reais on my checkout tab. It’s nice to have the fitted sheet actually adhere to the mattress rather than end up as a rolled up bundle by the end of the routine. Barely shown is the curved love bench. No sling, but hanging by chandelier optional.

I don’t know what reis are unless a vamp is referring to the old cruzeiro, a more apt name for brothel use anyway. Because I prefer to not live in a world of absurdity and JB’s ambiguous sliding scales exacerbate such, my foremost agenda Copacabana-wise is to infrequently attend 202 when it’s convenient for my schedule, disregarding venue prices, etc, and it was 100 reais. 

In contrast, Hotel Alameida is 200 for a top grade 4-hour room and includes indoor parking for your visiting booked trick; 117 is free Tuesdays as is well known, and the current suite promotion on Wednesdays is 50 but only if paid by cash. I was discounted there 86 reais on a recent Wednesday by paying cash for entrance, massage with Felipe P, and one suite use with an extremely attractive out-of-town uni student that really stood out from the small contingent of seasoned regulars breaking their boredom and evident lack of paid action watching the interactive show in the darkened central bar, happy to be spirited away for some cash for his next professional degree semester. Supporting the axiom ‘all it takes is one’ on an otherwise poorly attended evening.

I’m not sure what “reis” means, maybe it’s a mistake for the old Brazilian money “cruzeiro,” which fits better for a brothel anyway. I don’t like confusion, and JB’s unclear prices make it worse, so my plan for Copacabana is to visit the 202 sauna only when it works for me, not worrying about the cost, which was 100 reais last time.

Last Wednesday, I paid 86 reais in cash for entry, a massage with Felipe P, and a suite with a good-looking university student from out of town. He was better than the bored regulars watching the show in the dark bar, who weren’t getting much action. He left with me for some cash for his studies, showing that one good find can make a slow night worth it.

If you are going to lazily rely on AI I suggest you be the one to tell the difference between a club name and a room number. Like … if you’re street bldg # in Consolação is 80 I wonder how you’ll effectively find your way dragging a poor victimized “kid” to your lodgings while you both get stalled pointing fingers at every innocent soul on your route that falls into your “weird” category, a category that sounds bottomless and a true projection of your own presentation.

That’s what a brothel skinflint lives for, so why wouldn’t you have noticed everybody else on whom you obnoxiously pass judgement? Or were you too caught up in your Google spreadSheets tablet tasks anxiously canvassing everyone’s payment processes? And pretending Mineiro doesn’t exist in order to avoidantly weasel out of tipping? 😆
