Not too difficult but their website omits to mention it's on the second floor. They were responsive when I used WhatsApp to check where it was when I arrived at the address.

some really stunning guys on the History of Massages page! I am finally planning my first ever Thailand trip for May of 2026, and this will definitely be added to my itinerary from the looks of them. Same goes with Klover, I have my eyes on Master PaoPao (pic attached), let's see if he's still working there next year (sounds like these places have a bit of a staff turnover...

indeed, while it's good to have some boys in mind  better be mentally prepared for an alternatives. Boys are leaving the scene , going with customers for vacation , getting sick, going home to see family , being booked for whole day of your intended visit or simply in  flesh look less impressive than you think based on their pictures posted.

( I was salivating over some guy from Prestige massage and by chance last trip  saw him , likely going to work, on the street close to his shop. Salivating stopped immediately , while face was handsome as expected , his built was remotely  close to what I hoped for based on pics)

I'm doing some research on various massage shops to decide which one to visit when I'm back in Bangkok in a few weeks. Because I like the newer, more luxurious shops, I'm interested in both KLOVER and History of Massage. And of course, both shops have some very hot, attractive guys on their websites!

The websites do look very similar, by the way. Does anyone know if the shops are linked? I haven't bothered to check if the same guys are listed at both shops.

History of Massage is easier to reach (direct skytrain) from Silom than KLOVER, where a taxi is necessary.

This review on YouTube is very clear: extra services are available at KLOVER, but only a handjob or body-to-body. No sex. That does match some of the reviews I've read on this forum about both KLOVER and History of Massage. Although it seems @msclwrshp had more luck with KLOVER... See: 

So... I'm actually wondering what the differences are between the two shops, or are they essentially the same in terms of quality and what you can expect? And: what can you actually expect there? It doesn't look like these are shops where you can easily inquire about Top/Bottom, Gay/Male, for example.

The quality of the masseurs (hotties!) makes me consider a visit, but the lack of a "guarantee" of full-service extras or at least a blowjob makes me hesitate.

Any views on this?

Many of the massage shops got common management, I would not be surprised if Klover and History share the same admin.

I think part of the confusion here comes down to expectations and the cultural differences between the types of shops: H, S, SS.

S and SS shops are primarily massage-focused. They follow the Thai “service first, see where things go” philosophy. The experience is built around anticipation and rapport. You never quite know how far the chemistry will take you on that particular day. Management at such places will say that they are about massage only. Some places bend the rules occasionally, but that doesn’t suddenly change their category. Just because someone got lucky at Klover doesn’t turn it into something it isn’t. Likewise 6 months ago there was a review of Olivia massage where someone got lucky, it lead to great confusion here where some people thought you could start to inquire into the roles of the masseurs and what not, which you certainly could not.

H shops are the opposite end of the spectrum. Everything is explicit and guaranteed from the start. You walk in knowing exactly what you are there for and what you will receive. It can be great if that clarity is what you want, but it can also feel very transactional.

Different people enjoy different dynamics. Some love the slow burn and the surprise. Others want a sure thing. Both exist because there’s demand for both. The key is choosing the shop type that matches your mindset on the day. «Go and see for yourself.»

Yes. It's a hit or miss. But I recommend booking an appointment with the always FULLY BOOKED masseurs. They're always fully booked for a reason. Also I suggest booking their last slot cause there's a chance they'll release if you're into that. 🙂

The "massage part" in both shops already contains some sensuality but not enough to satisfy you, as I've experienced. That's why they offer extras if you want more.

Extras are usually discussed inside the room halfway through the massage. I tried both History and Klover and the one in Klover didn't discuss about the tip, everything just transitioned smoothly. It was up to me how much I'd give. For History, he left me hanging with his sensual techniques, then he asked if I wanted to continue and discussed about the tip. And be sure to negotiate! Don't let your dick think.

If you want full service, just go to Jey Spa. They'll show you the tip details of the masseur, also the total fee, before you book an appointment.

Went to history yesterday and got a signature massage for 90 mins. Not to mention name as I don’t want to sabotage someone’s business. The cost of the massage was 1790 thb. Minimum tips is 500 thb. A bit expensive compared to the other one but okay. I picked the guy only shows the body not the face because the other ones I want is unavailable. But I think there’s where it went wrong. He is definitely straight and not into men. His massage was okay with bare minimum effort; and he cut me short at least 40 mins. He massaged me for about 50 mins then asked me if I want any special with extra charge; handjob or body to body oil for another 2000 which is more than the massage itself. And it was the most boring and passionate ending I have ever gotten. I basically forced myself to finish this miserable experience with a straight guy. It was not worth it. So my advice is when you pick a guy; try to pick a guy with their face picture on it usually they are gay or bi; and they are more interested and passionate when giving the massage.

This is why I go to places where I know the manager has solid quality control (like at Ssense massage) or a place where they are more upfront about the orientations of their masseurs, as I like to pick the gay ones.  

I tried to book at History too yesterday but my chosen time was fully booked. I went to Wabi-Sabi massage at Sathorn instead and left very happy.
