Buzios

Has anyone been to Buzios recently?  I’m planning to spend a few days there soon.  Lodging recommendations as well as suggestions on how get there from RJ will be greatly appreciated.

Area around Buzios is great, and it's wonderful for just chilling out. Wealthier Brazilians go for the weekend. 

From Rio it's relatively simple by coach, that you can book in advance online and is cheap and efficient

What service did you use?  I want to do this but haven’t sorted out how to get to there from Ipanema.

Clickbus.com.br or busbud.com both have good and frequent options.

Are you wanting nonstop direct, embarking Ipanema and disembarking Búzios, like some sort of shuttle service? Or Rio central bus station info? It’s not clear. I also found that I could not purchase regional bus tickets online prior to obtaining CPF registration. If you were to go to the bus station one or more days ahead of time note that you will need your passport for the advance ticket purchase. Also for embarking, so have it out with your ticket … I’m not sure what your bussing history is.

My bussing history is basically zero but I like new things.  I’m going to give this a try during my next trip.

I did

I took a bus from Rio central bus station, pretty comfortable, only 2 -3 hours I remember 

I booked hotels from bookings - Colonna Galapagos Boutique Hotel

Buzios is very pretty, it has like 6 - 8 beaches.
