Try Sao Luis, you will like its GP sauna

the sauna in Sao Lius is very good and lively, much better than other northeast cities. You can find its name in other posts. It usually have 10-ish boys working there. The quality is better than Fortaleza, Recife etc. The old Sao Luis city center is a world heritage cite, but some parts needs more care. It is not suitable for tourists after dark, Uber only.

Inside the sauna, it is perfectly safe. Make sure to take a Uber/Taxi to go there at night. Going out with the boys, wandering the streets at night are not so safe in Brazil

I did I took a bus from Rio central bus station, pretty comfortable, only 2 -3 hours I remember I booked hotels from bookings - Colonna Galapagos Boutique Hotel Buzios is very pretty, it has like 6 - 8 beaches.
