Yes, I’ve had whelming experiences in Bangkok’s gay saunas. Saunas in Europe or the USA or Saigon are better in my opinion but Thailand does have gorgeous beaches and I was hoping one of them might function as an outdoor gay sauna similar to Abrico Beach in Rio de Janeiro but, as I suspected, that doesn’t sound like it’s the case.

Grindr is as safe in Brazil as it is anywhere; plus, Brazilians are friendly and usually like foreigners so it works very very well. It sounds like you found what you were looking for though so I’d understand if you stick with the good thing you have in Colombia. The occasional slutty trip to Abrico Beach or whatever can be fun but I’m not really a fan of constant random dick either. For what it is worth (not much) I would just like to say that I met a Vietnamese guy on Grindr during my last trip to Bangkok. He was kind of amazing and we still chat periodically. Also, if you like gay saunas, Nadam Spa in HCMC is among the best anywhere and filled with hot Vietnamese guys that were generally agreeable to doing things with this non-Vietnamese guy when I was there in January. The food in Vietnam is also incredible. I should probably apologize for this stream-of-consciousness-ish post but I feel like someone has to stick up for Vietnam. Yes, Brazil has the best quality in all shades. It’s truly a magical place. They also generally like to go down on your ass too without even being prompted and like Americans for the most part. I’ll never understand why the Thailand forum is so much more active than this forum. Bangkok can be fun occasionally and is good for a change of pace but Rio is fun all the time and never disappoints. Rio also beats Bangkok hands down for free activities such as cruising and Grindr. There is literally a beach in Rio that you can go to that is filled with nude gay men; some of whom will let you fuck them with the ocean in the background and waves crashing on the rocks below. Cute and to each their own but my general experience with the, say, under 21-crowd is that they are clueless both in general and in bed. A bit of experience is a good thing.
