12is12 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago As I was returning to my hotel now, 22:45 in Laureles Medellin, I was reminded of the seasonal concern-opinion voiced here by some: why be alert or even frightened in colombia, when u can b calm in thailand... I walked by myself 15 minutes from a music club. Streets were lighted (better than in pattaya), few people walking, few stores open. Neither a homeless in sight, nor a group of rowdy youngsters. Nobody offered me girls/boys or drugs. Saw a police car on the way. Sure there r areas to avoid, but there is no reason to forgo all that colombia has to offer bcs of outdated stigmas.
