BjornAgain Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Continuing the International forum of members loitering around Silom, met up with everyone's favorite Australian, @Olddaddy. For those not familiar with the long historic sporting rivalry between England (POMs) and Australia (Aussi), it's one built on total passion and no holds bared when it comes to language. Which in today's world of PC & woke, refreshing pleasant to use the old vocabulary. So great slagging between the pair of us. The Thai gentleman on the adjacent table just kept his head in his phone. Great time reminiscing about old 80's Australia, a mutual youthful time for the pair of us, discovering a couple of mutual acquaintances, plus catching up on our life histories. Food at Wine Connection in Silom Complex, if you're not been, highly recommended. Walk in wine cellar, choose your bottle at retail prices, no corkage when you pay at the table. If you're got a KBank credit or debit card, you get 10% discount. A great evening, and excellent company. tm_nyc, Ian here, mauRICE and 1 other 3 1 Quote

Sounds like you and @Olddaddy had a great time. I'm guessing the "C" word (c*nt) was spewed often during your conversation. Did you try to explain to the Thai gentleman seated nearby what it meant and how it's used colloquially or at least get Olddaddy to show him his? 😏 BjornAgain, Ian here, Olddaddy and 3 others 1 5 Quote
